This place is nasty. If you go when not busy the food sits for hours collecting germs and is cold. During busy hours food is just all over the buffet like people are having a free for all. I came into the restaurant for the first time. I was excited to try something new but was immediately shot with disappointment. Everything was short of warm, and the taxes were outrageous. I was expecting to pay $20 with tax but ended up paying $27. That in itself was outrageous. Every time I go to Peking Buffet, I have a great time. There is a wide variety of food to choose from everything is delicious. I got three plates of food and a popsicle and I enjoyed all of it. There is always a table open and as soon as you're seated you're able to order your drink. Since it's a buffet, the drink come quickly so you have plenty of time to grab some food. Meh. Peking buffet offers the standard run-of-the-mill buffet food. I'm not a fan, but also not a hater. For $15 a person, you can't really expect anything THAT spectacular. I thought their sushi was ok. Their mussels were decent. Their oysters looked a bit off, so I didn't try any. I'm happy that their ice cream comes in a single-serve cup and wish that more places would do the same. I didn't get to try their hibachi, but I was surprised to see no line at that station. Had lunch here on December 13 and can say that the food was generally good and COVID protocols impressive. Plastic gloves were at the table and were required for use at the buffet. Salt and pepper chicken was excellent and the sushi was very food for a buffet situation. This would have been a 4 star review but staff was slow to replenish food. I wanted seconds of the Salt and Pepper Chicken but it was not refilled during the final 30 minutes we were there. I noticed other item not filled quickly as well. I've dined here before and noticed as another reviewer mentioned, there are no warm shrimp dishes available as before. Hibachi was closed as well. Cost has gone up considerably and offerings reduced. Always the best buffet to go to in Glassboro! I actually grew up going to this place sense I was a young child, my family used to own a laundromat right next to the buffet and me and my family have watched the buffet grow bigger and bigger! The staff are always on top of drinks and plates, which is nice, but it can be overwhelming at times, especially if you go towards busier times such as dinner on the weekends. It can be very loud, busy, and bustling, and there does not seem to be a lot of consideration for others from the patrons that go there. Not the staff or the employees or establishments fault though! I appreciate the consideration the staff have here, and they always treated me nicely. It can just be very overwhelming or overstimulating if you're not prepared for a lot of people. Do not, do not, do not eat here. Go elsewhere. I am usually pretty forgiving having worked in the food industry for years, but this place is just not worth the hassle. Due to covid-19 you order by numbers that you write down on a piece of paper. They did not bring our order not just once, or twice, but four times. We waited 40 minutes for sushi. The waitress came over several times and repeated the sushi would be ten minutes, over and over. We watched as other parties were served their food and we waited for food that did not come. We had two menus and the numbered items were different between the two, so on one number 62 was for example cheesecake while on the other a puff pastry or something like that. An entire section of the menu was like this and when we asked the waitress which menu was right apparently she was wrong, because we got totally different food than we ordered. When we were checked on the waitress was telling us we were ok, instead of asking. She would say you guys are ok and move right on. And when we tried speaking with her sadly the language barrier kept her from understanding most of what we said. The table closest to us got alot of attention because they kept getting the wrong food. I am pretty sure they were getting the food we ordered four times. The waitress repeatedly kept going back to them and asking which numbers they ordered. They came and dropped the check off while we were still eating and waiting on other food that never came. When checking out I expected the older gentleman to ask us how things were, he didn't say a word. Took our bill and card and ignored the fact I was standing there saying how terrible it was tonight. I know there was a plastic barrier between us, but I was loud enough. They are more concerned with taking your money than listening or caring about the customer. To sum it up: We left a buffet hungry because they kept not bringing our food. We tried to explain it to the waitress, but she couldn't understand. They brought us the wrong food and couldn't bother to make sure things were right. Do not waste your money here, go to a restaurant that cares enough to do the job right and care about the customer. I love their coconut shrimp. Some days, they have authentic chinese food. This is a chinese buffet - you don't go to buffets for "hospitable service" but everyone is rather friendly here. There's a LOT of seafood (raw bar, sushi, baked fish, and the crab legs that keep my mom coming back for more). There's a Mongolian BBQ-style counter where you can choose your food and noodles and have it cooked to order. There's a variety of food, including most recognizable Chinese-American dishes, and standbys like fries, fried chicken, salad bar. Variety is the key word. It's not my preference, but they do offer a lot of food. Prices are really reasonable for what it is. For making dining out with my family much easier, I give Peking 3 stars. read more

I am given the bill, where the total includes a $3 tip. What happened to tipping is optional? Yet now they add it onto your bill without your approval. I don't want to experience this ever again.
