Excellent food great hospitality . Very authentic Greek food . Everything is fresh and home make it's just like your grandmother's cuisine.

Multi color beet appetizer. Awesome! Also a salad option

This is the best restaurant for Greek food by far! Situated near AMC Voorhees, it has a wonderful menu and great staff! The dishes are so tasty and I have tried many items, including appetizers. Wonderful ambiance also! Highly recommend!

Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich and Gyro Platter (lunch)

Been wanting to try this place for a while and we finally made it for lunch. There were no diners when we got there on a rainy Friday ... but 4 other tables and 1 takeout order all came in within minutes. You would have thought the one waiter doing everything would have been overwhelmed ... but he was absolutely awesome and super attentive to everyone. For appetizers, we ordered the Eggplant Salad and the Spanakopita (spinach pie). They were a good start to our meal. For our entrees, we had the Gyro Platter ($14) and the Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich ($12) ... both came with a large portion of Greek Fries on the side. The platter had an ample amount of gyro meat along with a pita, lettuce, tomato, onion and tzatziki ... all very tasty. The sandwich was also good ... but a bit on the smaller side. So we'd probably go with platters to wrap our own next time ... hopefully some time soon!

    A scam

Will not be returning! Went for dinner with a party of 6, and the ambiance was nice but that was about it. Service was okay, and the online menu did not match the prices on site. I ordered the 3 dip spread with hummus, tyrokafteri, and melitzanosalata for $21 ($19 online). Decent portion and tasted good, besides the melitz which was off. HOWEVER, I ordered this with the intention of taking leftovers, as I wasn't very hungry and didn't want a full meal. The server offered to wrap my dish, and when it came back, this is what he gave me!!! There were full PILES left of each dip on my plate, but he put a tablespoon of each into little cups and called it a day. I wanted to ask "where are the rest of my leftovers???", but did not want to make a fuss in front of my group, since they were either discarded or eaten already anyway. For $21, I expected to receive ALL of my leftover food in my to-go box, but this is what I got. I would name the server, but he didn't even introduce himself! Partly my fault for trusting someone else to box my food, but I did not think it would be an issue at this type of restaurant. I was mistaken

I have little to no knowledge on Greek culture, so I was coming into this ready to learn. Once I was finished eating there were so many more people at the restaurant. It was a completely different atmosphere than when I first got there. I learned that dinner in Greece (and Europe) usually is around a later time than here in the United States. As soon as I went inside the restaurant I immediately noticed the difference between an American restaurant and this one. The restaurant had such a beautifully curated decor. There were perfectly placed lighting throughout the restaurant. Halfway through my dinner, they dimmed the lights at the restaurant. The restaurant name Kyma, is Greek for "Wave". The connection to the seafood that they provided. I saw the concept of the restaurant as a modern presentation of Greek food and some of its culinary roots. The hospitality I received was amazing. Everyone was so polite there and the service was impeccable. I was prompted to come to this place because someone I know recommended it to me last month. I am not the type of person to go out and eat, especially somewhere I am not familiar with. With this project, I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to try this location out. I felt welcomed here at this restaurant. I also got some warm pita bread. This is apparently essential in Greek cuisine. I was also served rice and salad. One thing that stood out from this experience was that the waiter constantly came back to reserve my water. This reveals a lot about the culture and the deep commitment to hospitality. In my previous dining experience, something like this is usually an afterthought. This was a very eye opening experience for me. I enjoyed the food but the knowledge I acquired during my time here is astonishing. After I was done with the meal, the waiter offered me coffee. I learned that it is typical in Greek culture to end dinner off with a coffee rather than a dessert (although that was offered to me as well). In Greek culture, it is normal for people to sit and talk for hours during and after a meal. A dinner is so much more than what it is here, it is a social gathering, which is why they offer coffee at the end. At this restaurant, there was no pressure to leave and go home. I really felt like I was a part of the cultural vibe at this restaurant. As for the material aspects of the settings, when I walked inside I noticed the grey tone colors all over the place. The paint of the walls looked nice and fresh. The restaurant itself was a nice presentation for those who walked in. They had a nice interior decor. The main colors that were present were blue and gray. The maintenance of the place was very well kept, this was no ordinary fast food restaurant. The lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a celebratory evening. There were branches on the wall, all painted gray. I mentioned earlier that halfway through my dinner, the restaurant dimmed the lights. Although most people did not notice (perhaps they have been here before) I immediately noticed when it happened. It was a true fine dining experience. On some of the walls, there were some abstract paintings with no known meaning behind them. The tables here were square and rectangle wooden, with no visible marks or damage on them. The chairs of the restaurant were painted white with a high back for comfortable seating. The table setting was white cloth napkins, polished silverware, clear stemmed glassware. Tables were pre-set in a minimal yet elegant style. That seemed to be the theme of the restaurant. Although I did not visit this corner of the restaurant, there was a bar area for all the customers. Also, many customers arrive with their own bottles of wine. I simply ordered some lemon water as my beverage of choice. The bar featured glass shelving showcasing spirits and wine, with strategic lighting to highlight the bottles. I noticed that there was some soft music in the background of the restaurant. I learned that they were playing some soft, instrumental Greek and Mediterranean music. I arrived around 6PM and the restaurant was mostly quiet, perhaps there were maybe 1-2 other tables there. But by the time I left (estimated around 8PM), it was busy and filled with people. Almost unrecognizable from two hours earlier.

The food was fantastic! For the amount of food that you got, it was a wonderful price. Service was…read moreattentive and there were cute lights on the table.

Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. I know things changed since the previous owner (older Greek man) no longer owned it. He used to stop by the tables and chat with customers and we noticed that the portions had become smaller. This time we came for lunch on a Sunday. Place was kind of empty, with the exception of 2 large tables. We ordered Saganaki and were informed by waitress that they no longer flambéd it table side. We still ordered and it was good although not melted like we remembered. Husband only ordered the lemon soup, which he said was good. My daughter and I both ordered beef and lamb gyros, I ordered it with Greek fries (with the Greek cheese over them) and my daughter ordered hers with lemon potatoes. Both gyros came dry, in hard shaved pieces and I barely ate my fries as they were worse than fast food fries and not the traditional Greek cheese over them. The tzatziki was good, however, my daughter's had a hair in it. The worse part was that when we brought it to the waitresses attention, she was not apologetic or surprised. She just said she would bring a new one. This was unacceptable. To make matters worse, I went to their store next door to get the cheese I could fry at home and their custard dessert; they had neither. What a disappointment to the entire experience. Won't be returning if ever in the area.

It's a tiny, charming Greek spot tucked into Highland Park downtown, with parking so limited you basically need divine intervention... or street parking. Inside, it's cute and very Greek-coded. Vegetarian options? Let's just say... blink and you've seen them all. The hummus platter held its ground, but the Halloumi? I swear it was so rubbery I could hear it squeaking back at me. It felt like chewing a flip-flop in surround sound. Dinner came with exactly three vegetarian choices, all of which looked more like an appetizer sampler trying to pass as a meal. Thankfully, I had great company and a teammate who generously brought wine, which definitely upgraded the experience. Would I return? Personally, no. If you're vegetarian and planning to eat anything beyond hummus, salad, or bread, this place might test your patience. But credit where it's due... their orange cake was delicious and dangerously sweet.

I ordered the Build Your Own Pita Wrap with Souvlaki Chicken, Tzatziki, Cucumbers, olives and Feta with a side of Greek Fries. This meal was by far one of my favorites this year. The Pita Wrap was so fresh and delicious. For my dressing I chose the Lemon-Dill Vinaigrette and was blown away. The vinaigrette paired so well with the Pita bread that I could've just eaten the pita and the dressing together. I think it was the olive oil in the vinaigrette *chefs kiss*. Next up, the Greek Fries !!!!! So good. Seasoned to perfection with crumble cheese on top and paired with the Granch, made for the perfect combo. My friend tried the Greek Chopped Cheese but wanted to sub out the Beef and Lamb for chicken and was able to with no problem. He absolutely loved it. I tried his as well and it was honestly better than the chopped cheese's that I've had in the city. The Greek Chicken Chopped Cheese definitely needs to be a new menu item, shoutout to Tahj lol. If you're looking for lunch or dinner in NB you definitely have to stop by this place. It was delicious. Not to mention the owner was so warm and welcoming!!
