I've been to Boiling House a few times and they are consistently good. I went over the weekend for my bday and got the Snow and Shrimp meal with the crab fried rice. I've previously gotten the garlic noodles and they're also very good. The rice was fluffy and had a nice amount of crab and mussels in it and it was well seasoned. The seafood boil was good, I'm not too much of a fan of seafood boil seasoning overall so I got it on the side and was glad I did. I was able to taste it without it overpowering my whole meal. Our server was courteous and attentive as well. I will keep coming back. I'd like to try more items next time. It's a BYOB so don't forget your bottle. read more

The restaurant and the lil section it's in is super cute--with a few restaurants and shops... The food could've been a lil more flavorful imo, but it was ok... Pricing was kinda high, as there are other places with the same concept, that are cheaper... They're BYOB too, so that's cool... Our server was nice and attentive, no complaints there at all. I probably wouldn't return as there are too many other places in the area like this with more flavorful crabs and better pricing. I have a feeling that's why the server didn't really pay much attention to us or offer us refills of drinks. He didn't even supply the nutcrackers or utensils didn't offer bibs or gloves I had to get up and go behind to the service station to ask for all. The bread was warm and tasty and you can request extra sauce if needed. Make sure to dip into the bottom of the bowl to get the most flavor. You get a bib and plastic gloves to stay clean. There's a chg convenient hand wash station that's not inside restroom. Prices are as expected for the cost of seafood. We went for a birthday and at the end of the meal the waitstaff brought out a slice of cheesecake and candle and sang. We've been coming here since they first opened. Now they expanded their restaurant bigger. It's been one of our go to spot for seafood. Prices def went up a lot from the first time we've went but it's worth it. Garlic noodle, seafood fried rice and calamari has always been our favorites on the menu. Their seafood boil is also good. My husband and daughter bought me here for my birthday (10/31). We made reservations around 4pm for a 6:30pm reservation. We got seated, then we began to order. We were told they didn't have any Dungeness crab, but we could substitute for more snow crab. We decided to still stay, even though our variety was limited. We ask to SUBSTITUTE the pork sausage for the garlic noodles. We were told that it couldn't happen. I requested to speak to the manager. A male came to the table stating that they can't SUBSTITUTE, the sausage ($5) for garlic noodles ($9), but we can substitute it for corn($1), boiled eggs ($2). I began to explain to him, that when reservations were made, we should have been told that they didn't have the variety of all the crabs, but, you as the manager can unilaterally SUBSTITUTE, crabs, but, you won't substitute noodles for the pork sausage. I was bothered because, that situation was dampening my birthday, and the lack of customers service was not presented. On top of that, our food was not hot. I still didn't complain, I was trying to make a horrible experience a pleasant celebration. My family wanted to leave, but, the time was not on our side. The two star was not because of that, it was because after eating, I had to rush home to bring all the food back up. My daughter as well got nauseous last night. Did we get spoiled food, because, I complained? Im still in bed, sick. Im going to miss a show tonight for a birthday gift to see Ms Pat. Thanks to the Boiling House. This place was absolutely amazing. It's tucked away near Toscana and Megu Sushi so you wouldn't even know it existed. So glad we found it. I've been eating fresh seafood for 50 plus years and grew up at the shore and I must tell you that this was the freshest and best seafood I have ever eaten. Ordered the Dungeness crab and mussel pot and added andouille sausage and shrimp and there was was too much seafood for one person to consume. The crab clusters were massive, and the mussels and shrimp were top notch and plentiful. They do not skimp at all. I can't even imagine how little they charge for an amazing meal with this much seafood. Not sure if it was due to the day after Valentines Day or what but the place is nice. It's your typical seafood broil place. My friend and I had a reservation the other night at 7:30. The restaurant looked packed. We checked in and hung out in the little waiting area, it was beyond freezing out. Had a hankering for really good seafood, and not fried, simply boiled bucket seafood like in Mass, Cape Cod etc. Sadly I can't find anything remotely like The Boiling House near home (Yardley PA). I remember my days living in Hoboken NJ and going to Just BeCaws in Jersey City. Well, we found a suitable comparison to Just BeClaws and within only 40 minutes south in Cherry Hill NJ. Look for the red fishing boat along Marlton Pike about, just 30 yards north of the Jaguar/Land Rover dealership on Marlton Pike in Cherry Hill. They are located deep down the center of the shopping center stores back on the right down the steps. With the pandemic, we called to check on inside seating and their protocols which met with our approval these days. Everyone is masked, many servers with gloves and cleaning between patrons. Tables were spotless and readied with napkins, plates lobster bid and plastic disposable gloves. No menus, QR code scan in a placard or you can use the Yelp menu. Let me start by saying Dave, our server, was fantastic. Handled all our questions, was courteous friendly and definitely attentive. Upon figuring out the menu and our interests we opt to pick our own dishes vs the larger multi-option dishes for the table. I built my own seafood pot with Dungeness Crab Cluster, two large clusters weighing in at 1.25lbs of fabulous, succulent, perfectly cooked meat that was boiled with old bay and some garlic butter. Was meal that will be remembered. My spouse had the seafood fried rice -- lobster, shrimp, king carb, Dungeness, snow carb meat, mussels and egg and mixed veggies. She loved it. As an add on, we ordered one Andouille sausage, it had kick, was a perfect complement to both our meals. BYOB, parking lot, credit cards, attentive staff, great food. We first started coming here when they first opened. The food is still the same, delicious! The food comes out fresh and hot at all times. It's very flavorful and garlicky for my garlic lover such as myself. The service is impeccable. I personally like as my waiter John. He's patient and kind. He listen to you wants and needs and does his best to fulfill them. The ambiance is great. It's BYOB so it's a chill relax atmosphere kinda place. It's not quiet but not extremely loud. Tried this place for the first time. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place looked empty. Perhaps due to the day, time and bad weather. Typical seafood place, nice ambiance. Menus was limited in general, overpriced for what you get. We got some appetizers which were decent. I ordered the crab stir fry which came with crab legs and their garlic noodles. Wow, honestly wow. Went on Wednesday ladies night. Haven't seen people have so much fun in SUCH A LONG TIME!!!! Let alone people who knew all those songs and were singing them together. Looking for a crab boil place like the now closed Crabby Cafe. I searched around and found this place. Parking: lots in front & back. Atmosphere; cozy. Small inside so we ate outside which I suggest. They have tables with umbrellas and lights. I'm sure it'll get too hot as the summer approaches. Service: Will was our Server. He was great! He is how servers should be. Most places that sell the crab boil style seafood give it to you in a plastic bag.The fresh crawfish was DEEElicious! Nice and meaty. My friend had the Seafood Fried Rice: Lobster, shrimp, King crab, dungeness, snow crab meats, mussels and egg with mixed veggies. You saw the lumps of seafood throughout the dish. Incredibly shocked with my experience this evening. We finally got into an evening reservation slot using open table. My friend and I got an assortment of wings, garlic noodles, Cajun fries, build your own bucket of crab legs, shrimp with the add ons of hard boiled eggs, potatoes, corn, sausage. We got the garlic butter and Old Bay seasoning. And boy was it garlic heavy! So much so it had such a bite to it that it was way too overwhelming. It didn't even taste like quality roasted garlic either but huge scoops of just pre minced low quality garlic that comes in those tubs at the grocery store. Wings were covered in burnt garlic (didn't get a photo because we sent it right back). Ciabatta bread was as hard as a hockey puck with the same overbearing garlic. I ate less than half of my items hoping to bring them home and tame it down a bit with my own adjustments but those plans fizzled quickly after seeing a small curly hair on a shrimp at the bottom of my bucket. I brought it to the waiters attention to which he left and returned and offered 10 percent off my bill. Which at this point I didn't want any of the food at all. No manager on site this evening either. The waiter came back with the check and also informed me it wasn't a hair but a corn on the cob hair. What a joke! This was fine, black and curly (my hair was tied up and I was wearing a hat and I have borderline blonde/brown straight hair). It kind of felt like he was making it seemed like I was lying about the hair. I was so upset with this experience, I'll be sure to never return and pass on this experience to my family and friends. Boiling House is my new hot spot! I love seafood and this place kicks ass. I also love create your own anything and the CYO seafood boil here was awesome. I got snow crabs and shrimp in the Boiling House sauce with medium heat. Oh, and the garlic noodles which are a must by the way. Everything was fresh and fabulous. I might get the sauce spicy next time since the medium wasn't as spicy as I anticipated it, but live and learn that's what I say. Boyfriend got the lobster and oysters which were equally delicious. Saw the advertisement with the boat on rte 70 driving home and was really curious about it. So I decided that for part of my birthday this year that we'd order out from Boiling House, boy was I happy with what I got. I ordered the dungeonous crabs and a side of clams while my wife got the dungeonous crabs with the garlic noodles. I ordered from Grubhub and I think that menu makes it easier to order, I really get perplexed when you have to figure out how many pounds of each item you need to get. But oh man, was it a hearty feast. The boiling house sauce was amazing and my wife really loved the noodles, she normally doesn't compliment a place that much, even my son liked his fried shrimp platter. So, i will go ahead and say im from the south, so my expectations weren't high and the only reason im giving 3 stars is cause my girlfriend said i should. the ambiance was very nice and the staff was great, but that food was just extremely bland. the server told us that the medium had a little kick to it, so i went with the hot cause i didnt trust it. it meant absolutely nothing, cause the hot tasted more like mild. everything was caked on top of the shell so there was no flavor inside with the meat, and it just tasted like it was boiled in plain water. i truly recommend AT LEAST boiling the food in salt water, lemon water or even with some garlic and orange juice. absolutely anything would make it more flavorful than what it is. read more

Had a great experience here on July 4th, and we came back again last night. What a difference in service! The food is still good, but the experience made us sorry we didn't go elsewhere. Our server was Tara, and she was Gone with the Wind. Aside from taking our order and bringing our check, we never saw her again. She never once came to see how we were doing or if we needed anything (we did), and never brought any of the things we requested. I asked for lemons 3 times from different people, and they never brought them. Only Rob, who waited on us on July 4 and came over to say hello, brought them to us. And as stated, he was not our server. When they took away the plates after having a so-so fried calamari appetizer (don't waste your money), they never replaced them. When they brought out the entrées we were sharing, and asked for more plates, we sat there almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to bring us plates and serving utensils. We could not get anyone's attention and I had to put on my mask and go inside the restaurant to find someone to give me plates. By that point I was really pissed! I HATE cold food! I mentioned something to the manager that service was terrible and that we were not even served bread, and there was no apology, no nothing like "oh, let's bring you some bread;" nothing but excuses saying the kitchen was busy. We saw tons of servers, so there was no lack of people. But none was waiting on our table, apparently. And with the lack of caring from the manager, we saw why. My friend booked the reservation on OpenTable. When we arrived, we told them she made her reservation through them. There was nobody that really checked us in, so we mentioned it again when we sat down and Tara came over. We asked to make sure that they checked her in, but she never did it. So to top things off, my friend got notification from OpenTable that she had. been a no show. Wonder if her credit card company might find that interesting regarding the charge for the meal? Nothing was the same as the first visit. No bread served, and the manager said you don't get bread unless ordering a certain dish or paying extra. Really? How inconsistent. And with as ticked as we were by that point, how stupid. Whoever is the manager on Saturday night (didn't get his name) is very stupid, as there are many restaurants to choose from and lots out there hurting for business. An "I apologize " and a loaf of bread would've gone a long way. Am I inclined to drive an hour and a half to go to this restaurant again? What do you think? I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I've seen lots of recommendations to get reservations as the wait could be long. Well during Covid times, take out is the way to go so why not finally try it out?! Called in the order and order was ready in about 20 minutes. They do have the options to dine outside, which they looked like they had a really nice setup outside, so that's an option for anybody looking for outdoor dining options! We chose to create our own bucket. Start with choosing your seafood such as shrimps, mussels, clams, crawfish, crab legs etc. Next step is choosing your flavor. We went with the most popular choice, Boiling Pot (Blend of Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper and Cajun). Next you pick you pick your spice level! Medium for my nose runny haha and I do usually love spicy.. and this has a good amount of spice! Last is the add on such as corn, sausage, garlic noodles, potato, rice and ciabatta bread. Amount of food for what we paid for was fair.. but we also didn't add anything crazy expensive like the Lobster or King Crab Legs. So those can definitely add up easily! All in all, flavors were good! Food was cold tho.. but it was takeout so we could easily heat it up. Hoping to go back when dine is an option! I brought my husband here for his birthday (well I kind of had the taste for seafood) and the "new thing" these days are the Boil In A Bag seafood spots. As a Yelp Elite I ran to Yelp to see what we were working with. The decision came down to this spot and another, and believe it or not - I made my final decision based upon the images I saw of the corn lol. The corn just looked better from this place. I noticed that you could submit a reservation via Open Table, which was great because the place is pretty small and crowded when we arrived. We didn't have a wait time and were immediately seated which was wonderful. Waiter came over to the table, ran down the menu and gave us some time to look it over. We created our own combination. Crawfish and shrimp for him, and snow crab legs and shrimp for me. You can add in corn, potatoes, sausage, etc for a little more. It's worth it. Add them. They absorb all of the sauce and are delicious! I went with the signature Boiling House sauce, and next time I think I'll have them add the old bay to it as well. Everything was delicious, and I only had one complaint: the shrimps were not deveined. Once I noticed it, I didn't want to eat anymore, lol. If that's not a big deal for you order them, they still tasted good, but for me - that's a deal breaker.
