    Parmesan Crusted Chicken

I came here with my family for a special occasion and we ordered drinks and some appetizers. We got the calamari and the charcuterie plate. The charcuterie plate was really good- the cheeses were especially good. Honestly, the crackers were just okay but everything else on the board was great. I got the Parmesan Crusted Chicken as my entree and that was cooked very well. It wasn't dry and the sauce was great. My drink was just okay- it was the peppermint martini. Our waitress was very kind and provided recommendations for the appetizers. Riverwinds is a gorgeous restaurant and you're def coming here for the views!

Colossal Buffalo Shrimp Shrimp are delicious, well flavored, very big.

First time visiting and the restaurant has beautiful landscaping, plenty of parking. Upon entering the establishment is very clean and we were greeted by the hostess. Spacious dining area. Amber was our waitress and she was friendly, courteous and professional. I ordered colossal buffalo shrimp as an appetizer, shrimp scampi as an entree that came with a salad and ice cream. My daughter ordered calamari as an appetizer, crab cake as an entree and it came with lobster cream sauce, mashed potatoes, asparagus and salad. Food is delicious, well flavored and cooked to perfection. Reasonable prices, large portions and I will visit this restaurant. Restaurant is by the water with beautiful view.

My step father in law, asked me to book a reservation here so he can ask my mother in law to marry him. I did not see River Winds (RW) on Open Table or Resy. However, I went on their website and they had an online form you can fill out to book a reservation. Then you wait for someone to confirm it. I just want to make a suggestion that, I think RW should look into these electronic services. It will make things easier for their patrons. I sat at the bar while waiting for my in laws and wow the view. This place is wonderfully designed with large windows. We ordered our non-alcoholic beverages, and waited for our parents. When our parents arrived, the hostess sat them in a dinning room with beautiful windows. The place decor is very nice. Definitely a place to go for special occasions. We sat down and I ordered a house special $35.00 which included a Pork chop drenched in Jack Daniel's sauce and soft mash with the skin still in it. It came with a Caesar Salad and I got a vanilla ice cream. RW offers great value. Service was great, shout out to Ni! She came at the perfect time and did phenomenal. Overall, I am really upset I took so long to come here. Not sure if this is a hidden gem, but it's awesome.

Great views from the high-tops by the windows and a full wraparound bar with a solid cocktail menu. Drinks were great, but the beer list is limited to about five options. There is a dress code, so keep that in mind. The menu is seafood-heavy with a lot of tempting appetizers. We're not big on seafood, so we went with the hummus dip--creamy with a little heat and served with fresh veggies and pita. Afterward, we walked along the water and relaxed on a bench. Beautiful setting. We'll be back for drinks.

First time here spending some quality time with my family. My uncle is a regular at this place and his recommendation to come here did not disappoint. Service was on point and the food was even better--Can't wait to come back to this place again! Thanks Riverwinds

Beautiful atmosphere... my sever was polite. I order the crispy calamari and a class of deroy Chardonnay. I was along and the other servers wouldn't check on me, or even share a greeting, to see if I was doing ok. If there was anything else I need. I expect this sometime when all of the servers are women. I am very looking Man Wink wink, when you have a group of servers that are women... they tend to be very chatty with regular customers and among themselves, ignore a new face that they're not familiar with. I would offer more stars however the other servers wasn't good to me at all.

The view is going to get me every single time!!!! Today i realized they have happy hour from 11am- 6pm....... you're reading that right. ALL DAY LONG. The bartender was great and made some good recommendations. I thought the drinks could be more tasteful. The shrimp on the buffalo shrimp was the size of a small orange. It was DELICIOUS!

Quality service and excellent food! This is my third time here. Each time I come, I am in awe of the ambiance and service. We started our meal with the stuffed mushrooms and calamari ~ delectable! For our entrees we had ~ crab cake, jack daniels pork chop, and the salmon! Everything was delicious!

Another great outing at RiverWinds on the return! The crab cake is still immaculate and as delicious as the first time I tried it. Our server was so fun and down to earth, very knowledgeable of the menu, had great food recommendations for my friend who hadn't eaten there before, and recommended a great dessert (I didn't need it but why not?). Love the spot right by the window being able to look out at the water and enjoy the sunset. Again, if you haven't been, please get there! Such a great place for group or solo dinners, and a cute date night!

We specifically found this restaurant to watch planes landing across the river. It was dark, but we could still see them. We sat at the bar and watched, but would definitely like to come back during the day. We ordered shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, and the crabby delight which was a huge amount of jumbo lumb crab over pasta. We shared both, and service at the bar was terrific. We will definitely be back.

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.

Lovely Leti and I were hungrier than jackals after American Airlines dared to nourish our 5.5hr flight from LA to PHL w/ a mere Biscotti wafer paired w/ a 4oz pour of soda- We also had nearly four hours to extinguish til we boarded our connecting flight to Portugal...so we took the bait- "Prime US, Independence Prime" we challenged. Our server was a delightful young Ethiopian lady w/ a dazzling smile and great presence of mind despite her singlehandedly serving the bulk of the restaurant herself. Her relaxed manner amd quick smile paired with good enough service to satisfy us. "But what about the food?!" you holler. The starter, Brussel Sprouts Wok'd with bacon, diced pear and candied walnuts, was a flat non-starter for us. For one, the appetizer was brought out several minutes after our entrees were, a culinary faux pax I thought the Chinese restaurants had monopolized. Second, at $15 the dish was a little overpriced, most notably when you factor in the lack of coherence in the dish. The brussel sprouts were day old, previously fried then reheated. The bacon was a bit underdone and pieces of pear weren't completely cleaved from other pieces. Leti's Chicken Sando was highlighted by a peppery lemon vinaigrette that made the flavors soar like one of the Eagles recent "Super Bowl Champion" banners do at Lincoln Field. Me, humbled to be known in the greater Los Amgeles area as "your favorite Yelp correspondent..." decided that I could not visit Philadelphia Airport and avert ordering a CHEESESTEAK. My cheesesteak was pretty fly! Obligatory amoroso long loaf baguette heaped with tendrils of flaky flat-topped rib eye, oozy Provolone and mushrooms + onions. The fries were hot, not overly-salinated and performed admirably in service of the star, that unctuous homage to Philly herself, the noble cheesesteak! The ambiance was good- The venue fairly thronged with futbol fanatics cheering lustily as Spain delivered the coup de grace, winning shot in the 89th minute to eclipse Belgium in the World Cup quarterfinal. Our bill, for two entrees, one starter, a soda, taxes and tip was $79.73. In the end, Independence Prime may not deliver Prime Time appetizers but the rest of the meal rose to the challenge.

We placed the order: 2 portions of Philly Cheesesteaks sando-s with fries and 2 Amber Ale-s on draft (from New York). We were shocked that they wanted us to pay upfront and the bill was higher than we calculated. Then I checked everything: there was a 3% Employee Wage and Benefits Fee added to the total and the server picked a tip, on the high end! Not OK! If you want to give benefits for your staff, pay out from your profit from the high prices you charge! I am OK with benefits for people, but I am not responsible for your workers! In my field of work, I get none so I pay for things! Tips- I like to give my tip at the end, based on the quality of service and the quality of food! Not upfront! I actually changed the tip to a smaller amount since: 1. I paid into benefits already 2. I got burned recently a lot with upfront tips and then you get crappy service 3. I am on a budget! Food was decent, the beer - didn't love it, a tad thick, sweet, not your typical crisp Amber ale. Service - very minimal, so my tip was more than fine! I liked the decor, the tables, more relaxed vibe. The food was pretty good. The rest - left a bitter taste in my mouth!
