We arrived just in time, as there was a line to get in directly after we were seated. Service was slow, but they were really busy. And we were not in a rush. Complimentary chips and mole to start. The Esquite (Mexican street corn, sans cob) was amazing. I could eat this every day of my life. The Pork Bao Buns were flavorful, but the cheese threw us off. There was a lot of it, too. We ordered the Birria Tacos (beef) and the Korean Al Pastor Rice Bowl. I had lunch for two days. Can't beat that! BYOB. Small parking lot. Street parking seems tough - it may be wise to Uber. There were tons of Door Dash orders being picked up (we were sitting near that area). It got a little crowded with so many drivers hovering around. Get there early!

PALOMA, COLLINGSWOOD, NJ…read more I had planned to host a dinner party for 6, with a Spanish Seafood Paella as the main course. Due to fatigue from a recuperated illness, I realized that while I was not up for cooking this dish, I could certainly host my friends at a restaurant. I looked locally for a restaurant with good reviews that listed paella on the menu, and found Paloma's in Collingswood, NJ. I called on a Thurs for Sat. dinner reservations, and spoke with the manager/amazing chef Ernesto. He was willing to take our reservation, where I pre-ordered the Paella for 6, and asked him to choose 4 appetizers. We had an AMAZING meal! First, we didn't have to make choices, though that was an option. The appetizers included cauliflower, wonderful, shrimp ceviche, yum, guacamole and steak nachos...they were all devoured! Second, Ernesto prepared the food himself and everything was so fresh tasting, shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and the saffron flavor in the rice was perfect. I don't personally eat clams and mussels, but I did that Sat night, they looked and tasted so good and had just the right texture! We had their flan for dessert, again, delicious! Due to my greediness with the appetizers, I took some Paella leftovers home, and they reheated perfectly. All in all, we had a wonderful meal at a reasonable price. This would have cost more than double the price at a city restaurant and would not have tasted as good!. We will certainly be back, I encourage you to try it!

They brought out chips with some smashed beans w/ cheese type of dip. That was pretty good. We ordered a few different things; chicken, sausage, beef, seafood rice, ribs and shrimp in garlic sauce. The shrimp in the garlic sauce was very good but the rest of the food was not fresh. It all tasted like it was made days ago and it took forever (there were only a few people in there) to come out. The ribs were very tough, as was the beef. Two stars for the service and shrimp in garlic sauce.

Set in the center of a quiet shopping center, I HAD to post this review because I need people to know this exists. While I was expecting typical guacamole, tacos, chimichangas, and burritos, this was NOT that. The menu gives off an upscale Mexican vibe that is completely unexpected. The dining area is much larger than we realized upon entering the restaurant. We were given homemade chips with salsa and salsa verde. We started with the queso with chorizo. It arrived in a little skillet with soft tortillas for dipping. The dip was basically all cheese and chorizo. It needed to be lifted or pinched into the tortilla and was not dippable. I wasn't a huge fan of this, but this was the only thing I didn't love. I then did the roasted beets with cream cheese, avocado, pistachio, jalapeños, and fig reduction. This was out of this world with fresh ingredients and an amazing blend of flavors. For my entree I did the Pollo Poblano which was thinly sliced chicken breasts with roasted poblano peppers, cheese, crab, and a tequila cream sauce. It didn't come with any sides so I did the rice and beans. The rice was creamy and had bits of corn and herbs. It was almost like a risotto. The refried beans were black beans rather than your typical pinto beans. My bff had the veal enchiladas and said they were okay, but I didn't try them to give a full synopsis. We were too full to do dessert, but I had this chicken 4 days ago and I am still fantasizing about it. I need to go back. Definitely check this place out!

Fresh ingredients , not overfilled with lettuce and tomato, which is what you get from other places, and thats just filler. We both ordered yellow rice and pinto beans on the side, and they were also very well prepared. No leftovers!! We spent over an hour there chatting with Jose, a genuinely friendly guy. He mentioned having random weekend specials, which I think is a great idea. I'm looking forward to a return visit.
