On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

Definitely a unique time to try. We ended the night with housemade tiramisu and Italian rum cake. Both desserts were so moist and tasty, not overly sweet, and light which made a perfect post-dinner treat. We also sampled their housemade limoncello which was so smooth and lemony! Safe to say I was blown away with the food. Everything is prepared fresh here and you can taste the passion in the dining. The owners are husband and wife, and Mr. Fieni does the cooking while Mrs. Fieni does the baking. What a perfect team! I love the simple collaborative approach they have. The ambiance, it's very intimate. They have ample space. Our server was very accommodating and pleasant (I believe her name was Robin). Now here's my honest review on the food. We ordered fried calamari, nothing fancy just good old fried calamari. I feel like you really can't get this wrong because it's breaded and deep fried. It was stinky! Really fishy fish bite that you couldn't ignore it! I mainly ordered this for the kids but after I tasted it, I didn't want to give it to the kids. So they had bread instead. No complaint there. MIL got the filet mignon, ordered medium - it was barely cooked and begging to be seasoned. My husband and I got the lamb chops and I ordered an extra side of toasted sweet potatoes. The lamb chops were also not to the temperature I ordered it and was very undercooked. It didn't have any flavor whatsoever, and the only way I was able to tolerate this bland meat was to dip it in the sauce it came with. Freshly baked and served in a cast-iron pan, this gargantuan cookie took a few minutes to arrive but was clearly worth the wait; It's so good that it's simply genius; far better than anything I'd ever expect from a chain restaurant. The cookie isn't overly sweet and has a fabulous texture and a wonderful, caramelized taste that blends perfectly with the generous topping of ice cream. It's truly a stunner that deserves to be one of their signature desserts.
