My wife again chose The Chop House for her birthday dinner celebration and for great reason! We came on her birthday, a Tuesday evening, for drinks and appetizers in the bar area. The gentleman working valet was very respectful and professional and while I can take or leave valet in most cases, he definitely added to the upscale experience of the entire night. Upon seating ourselves at a high-top, both bartenders on shift greeted us with huge smiles and very warm hello's. They are familiar faces to my wife's family and were genuinely happy to see us. Unfortunately, we learned my wife's family's favorite server, Debbie, recently retired but great for her! The bartenders were fabulous themselves. Service, personability, mixology skills were all top-notch. They fit the sophisticated vibe of the restaurant perfectly. We started with drinks of course! A Stoli Elit Martini with a twist, a Dirty Martini, an Apple Butter Old Fashioned, and a Tito's and Club. The drinks came out beautifully. Smooth, chilled. I ordered the Apple Butter Old Fashioned as I was intrigued, but skeptical. While I thought it was good, I'd prefer a regular or Smoked Old Fashioned to the Apple Butter. My wife loved it though. We ordered lots of food to split and each appetizer we picked was as good if not better than the next. The Tuna Nachos fresh and had a tropical, savory flavor with pineapple mixed in. The Kona Tips were tender, full of flavor coming from the Kona crust and sautéed mushrooms/onions, and were served in a skillet full of sauce perfect for soaking up with bread. I actually liked the Kona Tips appetizer more than I liked the Kona Crust I got on my NY Strip I ordered last year (the Strip was great I'd just prefer no Kona crust on the entree). The Flatbread De Jour was a Kona Tip flatbread, which you may call us crazy for ordering two Kona Tip inspired appetizers, but the Kona Tips are just that good. The Oysters we had were small (just how I like them) and were up there with the best Oysters I've had. We finished up with Fried Calamari. They were lightly battered, fried nicely, tender, and served over a bed of different hot peppers (when I say hot, I mean it!). Everything was delicious and there wasn't one appetizer we chose that I wouldn't order again or recommend to others. We did order a few more drinks throughout the night -- another Elit Martini and a Hendrix Martini with the appetizers and then Bailey's on the rocks and Frangelico on the rocks as after dinner, dessert drinks. We ordered a Brownie Sundae for the table for my wife's birthday while she was excused from the table and the bartender brought it out with a lit candle. The bartender also brought out a complementary miniature Crème Brûlée for my wife as she acknowledged The Chop House's Crème Brûlée as one of her favorites earlier in the night when we were talking about the menu. I thought the entire night went as good as you could have hoped. Valet, bar service, food, drinks, desserts, atmosphere. Everything was amazing and most importantly my wife had a great birthday. This is two years in a row we celebrated her birthday at The Chop House and I wouldn't mind seeing this turn into her birthday tradition.

We had the Chophouse steak experience which worked out perfectly for our table of four and actually could've feed 5 easily. It consisted of 4 cuts of steaks and my favorites were the filet and ribeye. They were seasoned perfectly and grilled medium rare. Our sides were mashed potatoes, CH hash browns, and grilled asparagus. The weakest link was the asparagus which were small in size but still tasty. I will definitely be back based on service, food and value. This is a perfect restaurant for celebrations, dates and casual dining. Definitely a gem of a restaurant. Will be back sooner than later.

We shared the ravioli Di aragosta which was stuffed extremely well with lobster and crabmeat and topped with carrot sauce! The carrot sauce was better than I expected, very creamy and light. Definitely a unique time to try. We ended the night with housemade tiramisu and Italian rum cake. Both desserts were so moist and tasty, not overly sweet, and light which made a perfect post-dinner treat. We also sampled their housemade limoncello which was so smooth and lemony! Safe to say I was blown away with the food. Everything is prepared fresh here and you can taste the passion in the dining. The owners are husband and wife, and Mr. Fieni does the cooking while Mrs. Fieni does the baking. What a perfect team! I love the simple collaborative approach they have. To top it off, the service was incredible. We had people checking in with us all night and our server was so friendly and personable. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. This is a golf course/club house and they have plenty of private spaces for parties and events. They seemed to have coat check but when we arrived, no one offered to check our coats. The main hostess lady that night (in her mint green sweater dress and leather booties) talked to us with a flat face, sans warmth and hospitality, and couldn't manage to fake a smile. She stopped by a couple of times to say we are doing okay and not needing anything. It was more of a statement rather than a query or concern. Then she walked away before I could answer, both times. The ambiance, it's very intimate. They have ample space. Our server was very accommodating and pleasant (I believe her name was Robin). Now here's my honest review on the food. We ordered fried calamari, nothing fancy just good old fried calamari. I feel like you really can't get this wrong because it's breaded and deep fried. It was stinky! Really fishy fish bite that you couldn't ignore it! I mainly ordered this for the kids but after I tasted it, I didn't want to give it to the kids. So they had bread instead. No complaint there. MIL got the filet mignon, ordered medium - it was barely cooked and begging to be seasoned. My husband and I got the lamb chops and I ordered an extra side of toasted sweet potatoes. The lamb chops were also not to the temperature I ordered it and was very undercooked. It didn't have any flavor whatsoever, and the only way I was able to tolerate this bland meat was to dip it in the sauce it came with. The potatoes were very charred on the outside but tough on the inside. The sugars on the outside were so burned it was bitter. If you're looking for a legitimate steakhouse, this ain't it!

Despite that, the sound level was quite acceptable. My wife ordered salmon as she usually does; I went for the Spicy Thai Noodle entree. Surprisingly it was 15 minutes before we got our dishes! My wife was delighted with her perfectly-presented and cooked salmon, however my Thai Noodle entree was far saltier than it was spicy, so I sent it back. Our server offered any number of alternatives but given how slow the kitchen seemed, we decided to order dessert instead and our server suggested the Chocolate-chip Skillet Cookie. Freshly baked and served in a cast-iron pan, this gargantuan cookie took a few minutes to arrive but was clearly worth the wait; It's so good that it's simply genius; far better than anything I'd ever expect from a chain restaurant. The cookie isn't overly sweet and has a fabulous texture and a wonderful, caramelized taste that blends perfectly with the generous topping of ice cream. It's truly a stunner that deserves to be one of their signature desserts. The level of professionalism on display at all levels is impressive and the manager even came over to make sure everything was OK since I'd sent back a dish. We let her know that the cookie more than made up for any problem! While I wasn't initially happy with my entree, it's very clear that the staff there will do everything they can to ensure every customer has a delightful experience.
