I've traveled to Thailand several times and really enjoy the mix of flavors. I consider myself a Panang curry enthusiast - it's almost always what I order. The version I had here was OK but very basic. Other versions I've had included big chunks of potatoes and other fresh vegetables. This one really just had thin slices of chicken and not much else. I was with a friend visiting from Ireland who hadn't had much Thai food before, so I wanted to introduce him to the iconic Pad Thai dish. The version served here was just too sweet. As vegans, Thai food always has a special place and this is one of our main go-to's when we want to go out to dinner. They have a patio in the back that makes for an enjoyable alfresco experience. Thai is my favorite and I had high hopes for this local place. It's a big space and getting a table was very easy. The waitress was very attentive and friendly (though she seemed to forget that I requested no green onions in my soup.). The food, I'm bummed to say, was just average. And I can't help but think that, had I ordered it for pick up or delivery as opposed to eating it fresh right there, my rating may even be lower. The wonton soup had a good wontons, but I had to ask for soy sauce to get a little more depth of flavor. And the Pad Se Ew, which is my very favorite Thai dish, just kind of fell flat.I will try it again, a couple of times and, if necessary, change my review. My sister travels the world for work and all around the country. She's been to the best Thai places in NYC and Atlanta. And when she told me this was some of the best Thai food she's ever had? I had to try it! Well, I'm happy to say that I quite agree! I used to live in Connecticut and tried pretty much every Thai restaurant in the general area I was in. They don't even come close to this. I just had here tonight. My God whatever they're doing in the kitchen, bravo! This was some of the most authentic, well done Thai food I've ever tasted. I got the chicken pad Thai, and the soup. My dad got the chicken sauté and the dumplings. We split everything. We will definitely be coming back. Thoroughly enjoyed everything! I ordered the Fried Calamari, and Duck Pad Thai. The calamari was too chewy, and the dipping sauce was liquidy, and not very flavorful. The pad thai tasted okay, but was slightly on the sweet side - which I was not really a fan of. Great Thai food. We stopped at this Thai restaurant on our drive down to Wildwood. It is excellent! We had piping hot, crispy, spring rolls, chicken Penang curry, and Pad See Euw with tofu. The chicken Penang curry was really good, the broth, slightly thick, moderately spicy, with a few large chunks of Kafir lime leaves. and lots of green beans and broccoli. The noodles had a delicious, smoky spicy flavor, the tofu was crispy, scattered with carrots and bit of egg. The service was terrific. One person was there, and he announced to us: this is a one-man show! The restaurant is very sparse, along narrow rectangle. The location is inside a strip mall, from the outside it is small and modest in appearance, but inside it is warm, spicy and delicious. read more

We were greeted by Lucky today -- the new owner of this resto. She was so kind and made us feel special right off the bat. The ambiance is chill and zen, very clean and updated. We ordered 4-5 apps and they were delish! Spring rolls and dumplings so fresh and crispy. The lettuce wraps were delish. My husband had 2 Thai teas that he said were pronominal. The Duck was succulent, spicey and tender. Fried rice was amazing. Down to dessert -- we had roasted coconut gelato -- tasted like you get at the Spanish Steps in Rome. Sooo good. Absolutely amazing! Second time having drunken noodles and I must say it may just beat the other one I had that was more pricey. Prices are fair and vegetarian options are available Although tofu isn't on the menu. My server was more then happy to make my drunken noodles vegetarian by replacing the meat for tofu. Sang Tong Thai opened its third restaurant in Haddonfield, in the same space where Sanook operated for years. They've installed booths where the tables used to be along the walls inside, which is a decided improvement in both the appearance and the seating comfort. As for the food, Sanook was always good, but Sang Tong's food is even better. We've eaten there three times since they opened, and even the dishes that we used to order regularly at Sanook are better as prepared by the new kitchen. We're looking forward to warmer weather, when we'll be able to eat on the wonderful patio out back. It's long been one of our favorite spots for al fresco dining, and Sang Tong is going to continue its use. Lucky is Sang Tong's charming hostess, and we look forward to their continued success in Haddonfield. read more

Authentic Thai food for good prices and good portion sizes? Amazing. For context, this is the restaurant owner's 3rd location across PA and NJ, and those two locations always show up when you try to search for good Thai food. I am by no means culturally or ethnically Thai, but I would say that I have my fair share of Thai food in Thailand and at restaurants across the tri-state area. This is by far one of my faves. Every dish was great quality! We ordered spice level 3 (they ask spice level 1-5) for all dishes. A breakdown: Tom Yum Soup: 5/5, good clean soup with good amount of seafood Pineapple Fried Rice: 4.9/5, amazing rice, included cashews which added to the texture, raisins were good too! Went for lunch on Easter Sunday for 3 people. We were the only ones in the restaurant. With that being said, we expected the food to be good considering the exceptional reviews online and the fact that we were the only ones that needed to be catered to. We ordered the $25 tilapia special and was disappointed. The rice was hard and seemed as if the rice was cooked 3 days ago. The portions of the tilapia was only good for 1 person, when the server said that it is good for sharing. We also ordered the Thai Fried Rice; and for $18, was not worth it. To be honest, it tasted like it was ordered from a food court at a mall. We might as well have just went to Panda Express for a special Easter Sunday lunch. I voiced my concerns to the server who is the sweetest person and was apologetic with the subpar quality of the food. This is a great addition to the small list of good dinner options in Pennsville. I had been hearing good things and I'm happy to have finally tried it. I dined in with a group of 6 for a birthday on a Friday night. We had lots of different dishes and everything I tasted was amazing and everything I didn't taste, I hear was amazing as well. They are BYOB and there's a liquor store in the same shopping center so that's a big plus! They were more than happy to provide us glasses with ice, as well as wine glasses. I believe we had two appetizer assortments, two different salads, a spicy coconut soup and everyone ordered an entree as well. I had been craving curry for days so I went with chicken red curry and it was very tasty. Overall a great experience and I look forward to returning with my family. read more

Amazing Thai food! I was visiting family in the area and came back for seconds after trying this place! Since we went out for a family dinner I got to sample a few different plates. Here's the breakdown: Papaya salad: amazing. Green curry: phenomenal. And filled with veggies :) Soft shell crab: this one is really a show stopper! If you eat seafood don't miss out! Pad see ew with fried tofu: some of the best I've ever had, perfectly flavorful and great texture. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about were the fried appetizers but I think they were fine- just not my personal preference. The chicken in the green curry and the beef in the spicy eggplant were tender and not overcooked. Order mild (1) to hot (5). I ordered medium (3). It was spicy but not too hot. Will order 4 on my next visit. We really enjoyed both dishes and appreciated the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely visit again and recommend it to others. A small hole in the wall Thai place was a surprise find in. Pennsville. So delicious. We got the Appetizer sampler and the steak salad. The steak was tasty and cooked just right. All of the appetizers were cooked just right and not greasy. The assorted sauces were light and complemented the appetizers well. Absolutely love this place! I visited for the first time last night. The service and food is exceptional! My table enjoyed the sampler to start. If there is something on the sampler you don't want, you can substitute (we are not tofu people but gave it a try on the sampler this time). For dinner, we had the eggplant stack and pad Thai. Both delicious! Be advised-- they will ask you how spicy you want some of your dishes on a scale from 1-5. I love spicy food and asked for a 3. It was wayyyy too spicy for me. If you can't handle spice, go for a 1 or 2. For dessert, we shared the mango sorbet which was also very yummy. Overall, we had an excellent experience here.
