The chicken satay was dry and chewy, possibly older than it should have been. The ma la lamb was absolutely loaded with vegetables. There was a sufficient amount of lamb but could have done with less vegetables. The man that greeted me at the counter when I paid and took my good was friendly and nice. My wife and I stopped for Lunch at Green Tea. Lunch includes Soup or egg roll, rice (white, Brown or Fried) and an entree. I had the Hot and Sour soup, Fried rice and Mongolian Beef. The soup was good, the Fried rice needed improvement but the Mongolian Beef was Excellent! My wife had Wonton soup (Good), Fried Rice ( as stated) and Mou Gou Gia Pan (Excellent) for an average lunch price of $10-$12. Their Dinner menu is extensive and they have Chinese, Thai and Japanese entrees. We will definently be return to try some of the Dinner items. It is also BYOB. read more

Came here after visit with cardiologist for the lunch special. I really wanted sushi but was tempted to go with the bento box with chicken teriyaki. Miso soup was decent and I placed take out also for the general tsaos chicken and Penang curry beef with additional 2 egg rolls. The egg drop soup was solid and the wonton good. The service I would say is slow to non existent even when im the only one in the place. They should give out more napkins from start so I don't have to keep reusing the lone napkin I had and only had the one cup of water lol. I wish I could give this place zero stars. From the moment we walked in, we were treated as if we were invisible. The host barely acknowledged us, and when we were finally seated, the server acted like we didn't exist. Other tables around us were greeted warmly, served drinks promptly, and had their orders taken without a hitch--meanwhile, we sat there waiting, being blatantly ignored. When we finally flagged someone down, they acted annoyed, as if we were inconveniencing them by simply existing. Our food took forever, and when it did arrive, it was cold and tasteless. No apologies, no check-ins, just indifference. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant before. If you enjoy being treated like you don't belong, by all means, give this place a try. We should've left when we walked in and no one was in here. Unfortunately we chose to say. When my 14 year old asked if they had Dr.Pepper they said "We only have beer." Our food was inedible, except for the fried rice and sushi. The sushi was fine, while the vegetable fried rice had no flavor and was also okay until I found a hair in it. The bathrooms were very disturbing to say the least. I felt very uncomfortable trying to eat because the employees would dead stare at us. I cannot tell you my relief to find this restaurant! I just moved from a very cosmopolitan town to Salem County and I was not wanting to drive over a bridge or miles north to get decent Asian fusion. I was feeling depleted after a bout with Covid so I ordered Hot and Sour, Tom Kha with shrimp and miso soups, the miso and hot and sour were excellent, the tom Kha needs some tweaking. I don't want to have to pick lemongrass out of my soup and I'd rather not have tomatoes in it. I did use the Thai soup to reheat my own tofu and broccoli and it was perfect in that. We were the only table of customers 3pm of a Saturday... that should have been a sign. We ordered a sushi roll for an appetizer. The sushi was warm and tasted very strongly of fish (and not in the right way). My boyfriend and I ended up getting sick later that evening - pretty sure Ik why. The entrees were bland, boring, and obviously reheated frozen food. Could've gotten the same quality from a $10 Grocery Store frozen family meal - and yet we paid about $70 for our 2 person meal. That cost didn't even include alcohol, which in hindsight might have made the food taste better. As for ambiance/service: The place was absolutely SILENT with staff lounging in booths. Even a conversation at normal volume was awkward - we spent lunch practically whispering to each other. Also despite being the only customers in the dining room, we were practically ignored. Waters weren't refilled (until we asked the kitchen for water) and we had to go find our waitress for the check. Save your money, avoid disappointment, and go somewhere else. read more

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. The food is always delicious. Service is fast. My most recent visit was slightly disappointing due to burnt walnuts in two orders of Crispy Prawns and Scallops. I usually look forward to the walnuts in this dish. Horrible service. They are clearly short staffed, but I had to get up to grab our menus after we were seated. The gentleman I was with also had to flag down our waitress on his way to the restroom to grab our Togo boxes and bill . This place was not worth it. It doesn't even look clean. I have been here before as this is one of the few restaurants in the area. We will not be coming back to DINE-IN . Tons of people were coming in and out for their take-out and I absolutely see why. Bathroom review: pending. Haven't used it yet. Takeout review: note, we do takeout from here on average monthly (16 times in the last 12 months to be specific.) They have a variety of Asian cuisines, so that's a plus if you have people in your party that want variety. The fried selections such as spring and egg rolls are far too greasy, and I mean greasy! It's a consistent gripe of mine for 5 years now. The Thai food, would I write home about it? No, but I've had Thai from all over the country. The fact that I go back here as often as I do should speak volumes. The Chinese food? General Tso's is 2 notches up from the standard run-of-the-mill drunk Chinese food places. (I used to live upstairs from a Chinese place and had access to an unlimited supply of general Tso's). They seem to know what they're doing with their sushi rolls, it's no Zuma, but Swedesboro isn't exactly Rome or NYC. The prices have come up a bit since we started going, but so has inflation. The Thai basil chicken seems to have gone up $2, which is about 9 times the inflation rate, but I assume they know their books better than I do and know what the market can bear. First time at this place and brought the wifey .. place is small first seeing its on the corner you figure it would be bigger. The outlook/presentation looked nice not saying it looks like a slum house. The hostess was real quick in seating us thinking maybe we were gonna change our minds and leave. Saw the Sushi bar and i gotta say i had to give this a try seeing there were 2 chefs' behind there wheeling those knives and cutting up some fish and other fine ingedients .(we'll get back to that). We started off with trying all 3 regions.. Chinese, Japanese, and Thai.. get the whole asian explosion experience.Our tour will start off with a sample from apps, to main dishes... and dessert. Wifey and i switched it up a little.. our own personal buffet at our little booth and ofcourse we knew we weren't gonna finish and looked forward in bringing it home. Our table we had set up sections and boundaries so we know where we were eating from... i know messed up, the waitress looked at us weird but i explained and i think she understood... she smiled and nodded... Now everyone knows the nod...thats the approval nod. Chinese- we went with- a sizzling rice soup which was ok, its alot and 2 people can enjoy it. Myself toooo many water chestnuts and the shrimp was small... chicken tasted ehh besides that it was ok, Rice didn't have that much sizzle to it. Also tried the Sesame beef, opted out of the rice for this tour cause i wanted to get other rice/noodle options from the other fine countries. The sesame beef was ok , nice taste to it .. somewhat chewy but in all the flavor was ok . Thailand- We went with the salt and pepper calamari tempura style, they say lightly battered but it had a little too much on there.. maybe my idea of lightly battered is a dusting, the sause it came with had a little zip to it.. i liked it not sure if the wifey was impressed. also after that trial we also orderd the Basil Seafood.. This i enjoyed, mussels were a little sandy but everything else i enjoyed. wasn't over bearing . I did want to try the Pad Thai or their Mango Chicken but i didn't want to hit the Hundred dollar bill note for this.. but so far i am liking the Thai scene. Japanese- Here we go... i was really really looking forward to this.. we started with the Kani Kappa salad, which was wow.. i enjoyed and the wife enjoyed, it had a great taste to it, the dressing they use was great. Banged out an order of Gyoza could have went with dumplings from China but i have had gyoza before and i like it better.Also we got the beef udon noodles... very good, very tasty, great flavor to it., beef wasn't chewy great tasting Now lets dive into this sushi mofo like the po po to a dunkin donuts. They give you the option for cooked or raw like alot of places. You can order pieces at a time(1 per certain price) Went with a maki roll , and some chef special maki rolls. Shrimp tepura roll, Salmon tempura roll, Alaska roll(raw) . they were ehh not liking this .. too much rice around it, kinda bland to it.. taste wasn't what i expected from seeing these guys behind the bar. The specialty Maki rolls i tried the Godzilla Maki had spicy tuna and shrimp tempura.. with some tobiko. this was ehh.. not feeling it on the sushi end from these guys. Desset we shared fried bananas', and never had a fried ice cream tempura.. this was good.. weird but good Wow this is a long review... but i gotta drop the info for you guys, in all The winner here is a tie between Japan and Thai.. we left the sushi on the table couldn't bring it home along with the sizzling rice soup and the salt and pepper calamari. Waitress came around alot seeing if we were ok , showed alot of paitence even though she had a hard time hiding it. . The worst service ever!!!!! I ordered shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was just a bitter oily mess! They forgot my shrimp and was mean about it so I asked for a refund and they argued me down and didn't let me order so I said no sauce on my refire so they came out with the second attempt and gave me the same ruined sauce I just threw it away! So I go back again!! Order egg drop soup she comes out with it 30 seconds later and it was warm and I had to go back for a spoon never again!!!!!! read more

Good convenient Asian 'cuisine.' Nothing truly special. But the best around this area. And with knowing it's the best around, they make you pay for it, literally. Prices are very high. With higher prices we can only frequent the establishment every so often. They have a great selection. People rave about the sushi. I have been eating here for quite some time (for lack of better options in swedesboro) food is very inconsistent but has been ok.....until my last visit a few days ago. I put my order in over the phone and when i arrived to pick if up i saw one of their employees sitting corner of the dining room CLIPPING HER TOENAILS. yes you read that right, she had her legs stretched out on the booth bench and was CLIPPING HER TOENAILS. Green Tea is a Welcomed Change in Salem / Gloucester County areas. Normally I find Asian restaurants that are Thai/Japanese/Chinese are usually mediocre. The Atmosphere of this new restaurant is Great, Service is Great & Friendly and the Food is Great! The Sushi was excellent, The Thai Basil Noodles were perfect as well as the Miso Soup! What more can you ask for. I'm definitely a fan of this Brand New Restaurant. It's BYOB and the Brand New Liquor Store at the end of the strip has an Excellent Selection of Cold Asian Beers and Saki's. I enjoyed the food here, but the service was okay, neither good nor bad...just kinda blah. For an appetizer, I ordered the spring rolls. The waitress brought out egg rolls instead. Maybe it wasn't what I ordered, but it was pretty close so I didn't say anything. The egg rolls were different. The wrapper reminded me more of phyllo dough than a standard egg roll wrapper, but it still tasted pretty decent. For the entrée, I ordered the shrimp pad Thai. It needed a good dousing of soy sauce, but other than that, it was pretty good. There was a generous amount of deveined jumbo shrimp. I would order it again. My boyfriend had the sweet and sour soup, and he loved it. He also ordered the crunchy roll, which was drizzled with a really great tasting sauce. The crunchy roll was pretty good, but when my boyfriend asked the waitress for a big side of the sauce, she brought back a tiny little bowl instead. Hmmmm, really?? Speaking of the waitress, she was MIA most of the night. She didn't come back to our table to ask how our entrées were or if we needed anything else. My water glass wasn't refilled once. Anyway, if she had been more available, we wouldn't have had to wait 15-20 minutes to ask for that extra sauce, let alone wait an additional 5-7 minutes for her to bring a woefully small amount of it to our table. I would probably try this restaurant again. The food was good and that sauce -- that sauce!! I would bathe in that damned sauce if I could. However, since the service matches up with what a lot of other reviewers have also observed, I'd make a point to be a little more assertive during my next visit. read more

What a waste of time, money, and dare i say- sushi. We came to have the all you can eat Monday night sushi. Unfortunately this turned out to be a big mistake. The fish tasted old and had a strange after taste. The avacado was half black, the "crab" roll just had the shell of the crab stuffed inside some rice. Although I have dined in a few times, this is mainly my go to place for takeout sushi. They always get my order correct and the food is ready to go on a timely basis. The sushi tastes fresh and is well prepared, although the menu does not have a lot if variety. Typical decent Asian american entrees, average to mediocre sushi [if you know sushi] Once got sashimi and regretted it--the fish did not taste fresh at all. Had an old taste to it...very unpleasant and overpriced for what it was. Rolls seem skimpy on the fish, but I suppose you don't want to have to taste too much of it, anyway. Stick to the rolls. And stick to the lunch pricing. The atmosphere is fine. Green minty walls, nice tables, cheesy "asian" instrumental music. (But I care more about the food.)
