Fruit punch
Mychelle W.

First off the food is bussin and this is coming from Chicago where Sharks started. The manager is Black and customer service is on a 15/10. Then they asked us what we wanted to watch and they put on Hunter X Hunter for us !!!!!! Then they generously and elegantly sprinkled the lemon pepper all over our food with the angles just like we deserve. Then the fruit punch all fruit and sweet (don't drink too much before you eat tho cuz you might get full). When we asked for food suggestions the man gave us options that sounded like he actually tried it before and I appreciate that. This out our 3 or 4th time coming here we just always forget to rave.

I had heard good things about this place but I have been disappointed twice. The first time I ordered steamed shrimp and I ordered a pound and got exactly 9 shrimp for $9.00. They were not seasoned and I could have went across the parking lot to Cameron's. Second time was today and I ordered 15 wings, and cheese fries. Half was lemon pepper and garlic parmesan. The wings seem to not hold the flavors well. I barely taste lemon in the lemon pepper and the garlic parmesan was in the corner like a dipping sauce. The cheese fries were made with shredded cheese which were not good and not seasoned. It was my own fault due to not seeing cheese fries on the menu but asking anyway. This place have way more things I want to try so I won't give up on them yet.

I ordered the Chicago style chicken and catfish. Since I Didn't Want Fries with either the gave me some credit. The food was good. I mean real good. The WINGS are small though, so suggest you order more if you're hungry. They have a large menu and part of uber eats. They are nice people, well lit and you can call in your order ahead of time.. Once I try more items, i'll update my review.

Finally tried this place and yes I love the fried mac-n-cheese wedges that I was sent here for (I…read morepersonally prefer them to the mac-n-cheese balls at The Cheesecake Factory). I also love the okra, even if I've been spoiled by America's Best Wings and a few other select ABW's with the special hard, crunch coated okra. This place keeps their traditionally battered fried okra fresh and crispy. I've had bad experiences where some establishments let their okra get wilted and soggy (yes, I'm talking to you ABW on Alabama Ave, SE!) I tried this Kool-Aid (their fountain drinks) which I would agree would hit the spot in mama's kitchen. Such a surprise to see an establishment selling it. Who am I to question it.... a cup of diabetes to go along with the fried carb heart attack. Really, it's not any sweeter than an ice tea-lemonade mix from a carryout or other establishment. With two visits under my belt (wing meals, okra, mac-n-cheese wedges, kool-aid have been sampled), here's what I came away with: LOVE: nice staff, okra, mac-n-cheese wedges, convenience, parking, nice staff, they will let you sample the sauce before committing to a flavor on your wings. They also sell Honeybun Cakes (a local black owned vendor of dessert cakes--support small business!) DIDN'T LOVE SO MUCH: a meal with wings are just the fries added (not a lot); drink is sold separately, any blue cheese/ranch etc is $.25 extra. Many of the sauces are very similar. Overall, (3.5 stars) I'll def be back when I'm hankering fried mac n cheese or fried okra. Kudos to the young brother that owns this place! I didn't try the fish as I'm allergic to fish.

When I got the food, let me tell you! BUSSIN! I got the vegetable samosas (crunchy, thick filling), mango lassi drink (my first time having it, rich in the best way and soooo tasty), lamb korma with rice (got it spicy, had enough for leftovers, perfectly creamy and they don't skimp on the lamb), and garlic naan (got one which they split into four - huge portion, very garlicky and soft. I loved everything about it). im so happy I came here on a friday. they are extremely kind and the food is delicious. it's nice to have a diverse food option in this area.

It's a carry out style which is okay grab my food and go. The customer service was amazing the cashier explained everything and the degree of spice they offer for each dish. I ordered the Indian pepper wings and butter chicken both medium spiced and some garlic naan and a mango lassi. The food was flavorful and delicious and was a hit with the family. My husband went back the next day the food was so good. I will come back to try other things on the menu soon. But if your looking for something different come try this place out.

When I tell you this was the best meal I had all month, I mean it. Look, I'm from Dallas and there…read moreare some good soul food restaurants around, but it's been a minute since I've gone to any of them because you just get stuck in a rut when going out to eat sometimes. Coming back to MD for work however means I get to Uber eats on the company dime. No, I don't want McDonalds or Chipotle. Oh, look! Carolina Kitchen! My favorite item to get at any southern/soul food restaurant is always smothered pork chops with greens and mac and cheese. I was a little surprised at how expensive the plate was here but after ONE bite of the mac and cheese, I realized that it was well worth it. Best mac and cheese I've had. First, when my delivery driver dropped off my plate I was thinking to myself, Dang, this is heavy! I only ordered one plate but it felt like 2lbs of food. When I opened the container I was pleasantly surprised that it was packed! Two pork chops (sauce on side, thank you), huge servings of mac and cheese and greens and a cornbread. All fantastic. I can't speak on the other items, but I know what I ordered was straight fire. It was so good that I told a co-worker to check it out when I returned back to my home office so they can experience the awesomeness.

I've ordered from Carolina Kitchen many times, and the food itself is usually very good. This time…read moreI ordered a full rack of BBQ ribs, a pork chop dinner with black-eyed peas and potato salad, a veggie platter, and peach cobbler. This was actually my first time trying the ribs, and they were really good! I get the pork chops regularly, and they were good as always. Unfortunately, there were some major issues with my delivery order today. My peach cobbler was completely missing, along with one of the sides from my pork chop dinner. When you're paying for a full order, everything you paid for should actually make it into the bag. But my biggest issue was the veggie platter. Apparently, the veggie platter comes with only TWO sides. I was charged $21 for it, yet individual sides are $7 each. So I could have ordered those exact same two sides à la carte for $14 instead of paying $21 for a "veggie platter." At first, I assumed that for $21, maybe the veggie platter came with two larger portions. Nope! They were the same small sides that can be ordered individually for $7 each. To make matters worse, the photo for the veggie platter shows THREE sides. Charging customers $21 for two regular sides that cost $14 when purchased separately is not okay. There is literally a $7 upcharge for calling two individual sides a "veggie platter," with nothing additional being provided. There is no reasonable reason why a customer should be charged $21 for $14 worth of food. That isn't just a pricing issue--I find that practice unethical, and ownership really needs to address it. And even if the veggie platter included a THIRD small side, three individual sides at $7 each would still cost exactly $21! So even then, there would be absolutely no benefit to ordering a "veggie platter" instead of simply ordering three sides à la carte. I enjoy Carolina Kitchen's food and will give credit where it's due--the ribs were good, and the pork chops are consistently good. But between missing my peach cobbler, missing a side from my pork chop dinner, and being charged $21 for what amounts to $14 worth of sides, this order was extremely disappointing. Future customers: Do NOT order the veggie platter! Just order the sides individually. Two sides will cost you $14 instead of $21. Ownership: Just remove the "veggie platter" from the menu altogether. Two small sides cost $14 individually. Three small sides cost $21 individually. So even if you added a third side to the platter, it would STILL just equal the regular à la carte price of three sides. There is no value whatsoever in this being a separate $21 menu item. Just remove it!

I got here around 4:45 and it was empty. I was the only person there from the time until I left around 7pm. There was a couple that had came in but they left quickly without ordering anything not sure why but they were out in about 10 minutes. There was only one waiter who informed me the bar tender would be in around 5:30 but she didn't get there until around 5:45. She did make up for it with a on the house lemon drop which was really good! So I ordered honey lemon wings and jollof spaghetti with shrimp. Now the wings and blue cheese were so hot and tasty!! But the jollof rice tasted like spaghetti with some bland sauce on it and shrimp tasted fishy not good at all. So the waiter suggested I order oxtail, plantains, and coconut rice which I ordered which I did. Everything but the rice was good. The rice didn't have any coconut flavor and was like some type of veggie rice concoctions. I would not recommend the rice, jollof spaghetti even the broccoli which was cold when I received my food. The restaurant is set up real cute and artsy but the food options need to be upgraded. And I did not like they charge a 18% gratuity on your bill even if you are by yourself. The restaurant was completely empty when I left so not sure how they are staying in business unless the crowed comes after 8pm. The only saving grace was the lemon drop was really good and the rum punch! Other than that besides the wings, small oxtails, blue cheese, and plantains I would not recommend. Also go during happy hour save a little bit but you still will get the 18% gratuity....smdh

I sat at the bar and was told they were waiting on the bartender but the manager (?) could make margaritas or lemon drops. I really enjoyed the Honey lemon wings (on the happy hour menu) and calamari, and I wish I could have tried the Suya bites but they were not available. Apparently they take an hour to prepare? I'm not sure why but I was sad I couldn't have them. I would possibly visit Bistro 64 again (for the wings), but absolutely at a different day/time. I'd be curious to see what it's like when the space is not empty.
