Yummy Seafood came through for Mother's Day weekend when almost everybody else was low on crabs or sold out. Not only did they still have crabs, they had JUMBO blue crabs that were full of meat. I ended up getting half a bushel and was seriously impressed with the size and quality. They also had sook crabs available too. I also ordered the fried fish and shrimp platter with fries and coleslaw. The fish was perfectly crunchy with great seasoning, and everything tasted fresh and made to order. One thing that really stood out was the customer service. The owner was very friendly, patient, and helpful the entire time. Prices were fair, consistent, and honestly better than some other seafood spots around the area. If you want fresh seafood, quality crabs, and good people running the business, this spot is definitely worth supporting. read more

Went there for lunch today because I wanted some fish. Ordered the seafood platter with potato wedges and hush puppies accompanied with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. The 3 pieces of whiting were big and seasoned well. The shrimp was OK seasoned, and the wedges were OK as well. The hush puppies were not as crispy as I would like, but they were still good. The sauces that came with it were underwhelming. And potato salad was mid. The customer service was on point very nice guy. read more

Literally horrible experience, food took 45 minutes for the seafood pasta that had 2 mussels and 3 shrimp and cut up scallops with dry pasta. The store smells of fish which I understand with seafood but its bad. My pasta was bland and disgusting . I definitely will not be back. For 25$ thats insane. read more

saw a bunch of people out front, wanted to check out what the buzz was about. it's a no frills seafood spot. decided to have the shrimp and the fried croaker. both were really fresh. they give you a generous portion. the shrimp was tender and not overly seasoned and had a good crunch, which i enjoyed. comes with a small cole slaw. the bf opted for the croaker. super crispy as well. we ordered a burger for the road cuz we saw someone eating it and it looked really good. it was a solid cheeseburger. juicy, meaty, cheesy, not dry not overcooked. i appreciated that. just be sure to request ketchup packets. hit the spot even tho this is a seafood place. will return and try the crabs. read more

Came back for another wonderful dinner from This Is Seafood. This time, because I am seriously working on losing my COVID weight I only had a small order of Fresh Fried flounder. It was delicious!! I was a little skeptical about this place, but my girlfriend said they had good crabs and she was right. We had female medium-sized crabs and they were very meaty/heavy. They were pretty good & very well seasoned. They were so good that I went back the next day & got large & medium-sized crabs & they sent disappoint me. I also tried the 1/2 & 1/2 as someone raved about in a previous post and it was on point. Now, the shrimp were ok and had a hint of lemon taste to them (they were deveined too). Overall, I'll be back for another 1/v2, & 1/2 & crabs. I was told the hush puppies were yummy too, so I'll be trying them next go round. read more

After the reviews, we decided to give this place a shot. Big mistake! This place is a hole in the wall, and some of the fish was clearly bought from the grocery store. Either way, we ordered and the food took way longer than they said it would take to be done. We ordered all fried platters and the food was either soggy or over fried. If that wasn't bad enough, I found a dead bug in our food. I called, and they refunded my monies. I gave them 2 stars bc they refunded my monies; I won't be eating here again. read more

Occasionally, I order from here when I'm in the area. I wanted some fried scallops, so I dashed to Yummy's Seafood. I walked in and the employee is on the phone. He saw me approaching, and reaches behind the counter to grab a spray bottle to wipe the table off. Im standing there, as his back is now facing me. He takes his time, while still on the phone. He finishes wiping the table and walks back around the counter, looks at me, while still on the phone. He walks away and I walked out. I typically go here for crabs especially when i don't feel like driving far. Their prices are good and the sizing is accurate. As with any crab spot sometimes you get some that are bad (it's only happened once and I've been going here monthly for over a year now) however Kim had the best customer service. I showed her footage of my crabs and she kindly replaced them. My replacement dozen was bomb.com! Just off the strength of customer service i will be returning. So a order was placed for three Croaker platters. Went to pickup without checking because after being going to yummy seafood for years that order was right. Got home there was one small piece fish in all three with no coleslaw. Normally when you order a platter you get two pieces (LARGE). Took them back and was told by Jay it's been that way. I paid 100.00 for doz of LARGE males and doz of LARGE females. I RECEIVED about 3 LARGE females, the rest medium, Same for the males. If I pay for 45.00 a dozen for large females, that's what I expect. He comes inside with no mask and asked if I needed to pick up or order. His tone was not pleasant and he had no mask. I am always Pleased with the food and the customer service. The employees are always pleasant and helpful. Since having their crabs, I haven't gone anywhere else. Worst crabs in the area since owner change! I used to live close for years & the crabs were great then. Even when I moved I still ordered crabs there for many years after. The owners then would make sure to make it right for the bad ones but I never got short sided by the size or dead cooked crabs like these folks running this scam now. I had stopped buying the crabs over a year ago due to the scam on the sizes. You order extra large & get mixed sizes for extra large price. Only 30% ok. I decided to see if things were any better this week 6/11/19 & ordered extra large again after the lady showed us a few large & extra large. Came to pick up the order, the lady got our order mixed up & put extra seasoning on mine when I asked her not to add it. She got my husband mixed up with another customer when she just spoke to him 5 seconds ago. The bag did not seem full for 18 extra large. The crabs were mostly medium/reg size. Only about 6 were ok, the rest were also either mealy or cooked dead. I will never go there again. These folks do not care about the customer just the $. I could have complained, but the trust is gone. I do not want to waste any more time with these losers. The risk of getting sick is too great when the owners have no regard for food safety or honor the size you ordered. SAVE YOUR MONEY & YOUR LIFE! read more

Do not use to get your fish cleaned. They steal your fish and still charge you for cleaning them. I just got back from a trip from Cape Cod and brought them a large cooler with about 150-160 porgies and two black sea bass. After I got home there was only 90 cleaned porgies fish and 1 black sea bass. Very disappointed! read more

Always fast. Always delicious. My man's spot! Very friendly service and the prices are reasonable. Make sure to call early if you want make crabs on a holiday or weekend day - they usually run out! I usually get the catfish and fries. Ask them to season it well. Either way, it is good!! read more
