We asked for fresh milk tea with black tea and this has never been an issue until today. We put in the order to the bigger staff member and he was very polite and stated that they had whole milk and could make the fresh milk tea and asked what kind of tea my wife wanted. She said black tea and he inputted in her order . When we got the order, it wasn't fresh milk tea, but black tea with milk foam. The skinnier staff member with bob cut hair stated that they didn't have fresh milk, which is just whole milk, to my wife. When I walked over he recanted saying they only have fresh milk for the winter melon tea. I told him the only difference is that they put that in the black tea and he feigned ignorance that he didn't know how to make it. This kid lied to our face since he's made this for us plenty of times. I'm not sure if it's new management and this is how they are training their staff but I'll be sure to let our friends know not to come here anymore. Lastly, he also had the audacity to tell us "You got what you ordered" when this wasn't what we asked for and he was right there when we ordered it. read more

Limit of ten people in the store. INCLUDING EMPLOYEES! So basically four or less customers. Somehow the location always has fifteen people inside. Unfortunate the store doesn't enforce their own signage more. Or customers need to read and count better perhaps? If you use the Clover app you can track your rewards and even order ahead. Nifty if your anxiety prevents you from ordering at the counter and addicting 383,395 drink modifications. They also have a few games or activities to enjoy while you patiently wait for your made to order beverage. No issues at all with parking in this area. This place makes delicious bubble tea! As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a smile and hello. This is a corporate chain but still feels very welcoming. I got the Classic Pearl Milk tea with 80% sugar. I thought it was still a little too sweet so next time I will try 50%. It was so hard to choose because so many of the options look good! If you use the Clover app, you can get rewards! Make sure to tell them at the counter or use the app to order ahead of time. If you don't, you cannot retroactively get the reward (I made this mistake :( ) After I ordered, it didn't take more than a few minutes for my drink to get out. It has that weird old boba smell, and also one of the workers kept staring at us inappropriately. I felt very uncomfortable. Also while we were in line they asked us to see who else in line was ordering drinks since they wanted to identify who should be the last order before they close. I felt like I was on the job, but I dont even work here. The wait is also ridiculously long. Expect to wait much longer than you think. It's not because of a long line, it's because of slow service. Well today my life changed forever. I guess I never really knew how many cals were in my beloved Milk Tea but Sharetea puts that info right there on the menu, a glaring truth I would have preferred to ignore. Lol In a way I'm thankful because it has forced me to reconsider my Milk Tea addiction but part of me wishes I could have continued to live in ignorant bliss. Either way, I got the Classic Oolong Milk Tea with Boba- Regular Ice and 50% sugar. I have to assume (hope really) that as the classic is about 400 cals 50% sugar hopefully cuts that in half. Let's hope anyways! Either way, I really enjoyed the tea. The 50% sugar really allowed me to get the flavor of the Oolong Tea which was really nice. The boba was good too and a nice medium consistency, just how I like it! I wanted to try the Okinawa (brown sugar yum) but that was something like 700 cals and you can only do the lowest of 80% sugar. I think milk tea will be more of a treat for me and when it's an uncommon treat I'm gonna go in there and order what I want and not give a damn. So in other words, I'll be back for you Okinawa! I could not taste the tartness from the kiwi. I do like there are bits of kiwi on the bottom of the drink. The aiyu jelly is good but not much fig taste by itself. I love ShareTea mostly because it's close to my house which makes it amazing. I have my favorites but nothing is within a ten minute drive so 5 stars automatically for location for me. As for my order, I usually get milk tea the tea depends on my mood, some days I get oolong or I get green tea or black tea. It varies with my mood, I don't like my milk tea overly sweet, so I always get 50% sugar. Any more sugar and it's way too sweet for me. I prefer their mini bobas compared to the regular boba at this particular location. Definitely order ahead if it's a weekend so you don't have to wait as long for your drink. Finally, a nearby boba place that's deliciously delicious! I ordered the taro ice blended with pudding and boba. I feel like taro is a hard flavor to get. Some places you'll get it just right (like here) or you'll get a chalky textured taro-ish flavor. Boba. Now the boba tells a lot. You can have a good drink but not great boba. And this place got their boba perfectly! The consistency was spot on! It didn't get hard in my ice blended drink. It was sweet but not too sweet. Gooey but not too mushy. If you know your boba, you know what I'm talking about haha. Even though restaurants and boba shops such as Sharetea have opened up since the quarantine of Covid-19, they were still friendly enough to take my order over the phone. I've been here twice, once on the grand opening day and another two days later. The opening day was hectic as most people have listed, but what could one expect when there's a BOGO special and on a Saturday? Despite my wait of about two hours, I didn't want to let that experience affect my judgement and review overall. I had the Okinawa Milk Tea and was fine as expected. Returning a couple days later, there was significantly less amount of people and so my friend and I got our drinks a lot more quickly. They seemed to have their footing now after a busy opening weekend. Had the Mango Green Milk Tea and it was delicious! The place is nice, spacious, and clean with very modern decor. The perfect environment to either come hang out with a friend, play board games, or even study for your next exam. Also really enjoyed the music selection (2000s pop and R&B) while I was there both times. You could tell that the staff was still learning, but you gotta start somewhere right? They were all very kind still. Overall, I wouldn't let the other reviews deter you from trying this ShareTea or returning again once more to try it after opening weekend. read more

I do like this place. Friendly staff, trendy decor, and delicious options. One major flaw though, the crema add on. It's a $1.25. my wife likes the wintermelon tea with the creama. She likes the sweet and salty flavor, but everytime she comes in to get the drink it comes out half mixed in already. Which, if that were the case, we'd just get the wintermelon with milk option for the cheaper price. The sharetea down on belmar always gets it right, but it's too far for us. The Westminster location (our home base) is hit or miss, which is kind of bitter risk to take for $1.25 (guacamole amirite?). My wife never wants to go here anymore, which is a shame. I go on my own during lunch to see if they ever fix it. More often than not, it comes out wrong. Not sure if it's bad training, poor prep, or something If they could only fix that one thing, I could convince my wife to come back. I've been to this ShareTea multiple times since they opened, I really wanted to try different things before writing this review. So here it goes...... I'm originally from Taiwan where boboa drinks and teas are literally everywhere. If a place even dares to serve bad tea drinks or squishy boboa, they would be out of business in no time. I was stoked when this ShareTea opened, but after a few visits, I'm not so sure about my excitement for this place. The boboa are a hit or miss, sometimes they are perfect, while other times they are undercooked. But more often than not, they are overcooked or been held for too long. Their pudding at one point had a lychee taste, luckily that's no longer the case. My biggest complaint is their teas, it lacks the flavor of tea, literally. And their Taro is a joke too.......hell I can make better taro milk drink at home with my vitamix than they can make it. As stated before, I grew up drinking boboa teas. I learned over the years on how to order them in Taiwan, and how to order them here in the US as the sweetness levels here are much different than in Asia. However, I can order my boboa tea the exact same way at Master Tea up the street on 120th (or 136th) as well as KungFu Tea down on Hampden and they taste exactly how I expected. Yet ShareTea just can't seem to get it right. It seems like half of the menu can't be customized with sugar levels, even the ones that can are sickly sweet at a 30%. I hate to know what the 100% full sugar level would even taste like, or if someone could possibly end up with renal failure just from drinking it. Hell even the 0% sugar milk tea taste like somebody loaded sugar in it. Would I come back? Eh.....maybe on the rare days that I don't want to drive up to Master Tea or down to KungFu Tea, but in all honestly, I'd much rather make the trek than settle with what this place has to offer. read more

I got my usual milk tea drink and it was super watery, but my boyfriends fruity tea was really good so I guess they just specialize the fruity drinks here. I love boba teas and was recommended this place from a friend. The location is perfect and the inside is spacious, bright, and very clean. I ordered a classic Thai tea with regular ice (yes, you can specify how much ice you want), and 30% sweetness. I love the idea that you can really customize your drink. And truthfully, the 30% sweetness was still pretty sweet, so I can't imagine what the 100% is like. I thought the boba was perfectly cooked, and my tea came filled with it. ZERO STAR!!! I tried to place an order of a honey milk tea, with a green tea based. Have ordered this drink numerous times at multiple sharetea locations BUT the staff here would not accommodate. They said "we stick to the recipe from corporate" however, other sharetea locations are sticking to the recipe but allowing their customers to choose their tea base. My stomach cannot tolerate black teas, but I'm a boba lover and have found the combination to soothing. ZERO STAR for not accommodating, even I offered that however the honey green milk tea turn out, I will not complain and appreciate them trying to accommodate...BUT NO THEY WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE YOU. I want to give this place some time to improve and this comes with any new business. Our experience was good given it was a day before their grand opening. I think it would be helpful to not micromanage the employees as far as being over their shoulder when they are clearly in training or have a superior introduce them as in training mode, I think that would have been helpful. The boba seemed a bit undercooked (I can say thins because I used to work at a boba shop myself). The level of sweetness and ice could use a better explanation only because my husband though his milk tea as bland at 30% sweetness but it could have been our fault for not accurately gauging the sweetness we really wanted. Oh and the Caramel Toffee Pearl Milk Tea, hence the PEARL in this drink... but they still asked for topping, therefore, I thought it would be in replacement of the PEARL included but it was an addition too. Which meant, I had both boba and pudding- too much for me but I didn't want to be a hassle. Nonetheless, I know how difficult it can be to train and implement new things, therefore, I think this place has lots of potential and with due time it'll be like a well-oiled machine!
