I haven't been to Sharetea before but I pass by it plenty of times while strolling about in the mall. When they first opened they were highly popular and there was quite a line in order to receive service. So I waited for the newness to wear off. Once that happened I swung by here and got a very fine boba tea. I picked the Taro flavor and liked it very much. The chewy tapioca balls were great...I always love getting those and fishing around for any stragglers once the main drink is finished. I try to get as many as I can when I'm starting out and in the middle but I usually have a fair amount left. They don't take cash. I'm not sure if that's a permanent policy or if it was a issue that they were having at the time so best be prepared with more than one payment option. read more

Whenever I visit a new city, I try out a boba shop there. Out of all the shops I have visited, I rate this at 2nd place! The staff here were patient with my first-timer lack of knowledge of their menu. I got a basic black milk tea with regular boba pearls. There were three groups of customers in front of me, waiting for their order, but I only had to wait in line for five minutes! One of the other customers in line was friends with a staff member and stopped to chat, but it didn't slow them down at all! This shop is fully staffed and the workers are well trained and efficient! I've been to boba shops where I had to wait 30-45 minutes in line just to order, so I was REALLY impressed by their speed here! Plus, the tea itself tasted great! read more

I got the Wintermelon with lychee jelly, and my husband got the Coco lover maybe? His was a very mild/unsweetened chocolate tasting foam thing. My wintermelon drink was bitter, and the lychees rather the jellies were just OK maybe if they were smaller pieces it would've been better. But because it was two drinks and they both weren't that great we will not go back. I tossed out my drink right after buying it while in the FYE. My husband took his in the car and tossed it out at the first opportunity. Super underwhelming. I don't think you can go wrong with Sharetea. I love their fruit teas; great flavor and they put fruit pulp/bits in some of them. My favorite is the Grapefruit Green Tea and Kiwi Fruit Tea, but all the fruit teas are good. I recommended to my cousin that she try the Passionfruit, Orange & Grapefruit Tea, since she had doubts about Sharetea before, and she really liked the flavor. Good tapioca texture, and they're not stingy with it. You can adjust your ice level and sugar level, which I like. All the other Shareteas I have been to are in such small locations, that the line is always out the door and you're waiting outside. At least you have room in the mall to wait around if it ever gets that busy. read more

Just OPENED, and I am so excited because there is a deficiency of bubble tea shops in the area!! I ordered the classic milk tea (black) ($5.50) and I really like it! The boba was super soft and chewy, and I loved that there's a nice seating area right in front of the shop. Finally !!! I've been waiting for so long for a Sharetea in Tacoma, and the location next to Nordstrom in the Tacoma Mall is perfect! Its at the same location that Orange Leaf frozen yogurt used to be. I'm so happy that i dont need to drive to Renton or Federal Way anymore. This location is very tiny with little room to stand in the actual store when waiting for your drinks. Right now they are in the soft opening phase, so everyone is still learning and service is slower but im sure they will get quicker in no time. Nice place to have in the mall when you don't want to drive elsewhere for milk tea. They have real milk option which differs from the powder milk they use which is great. I tried the real milk and I'd say I actually prefer the powder lol. For some weird reason I just liked the lactose free option. Everything comes in one side which is a downside for me. I usually come here for milk tea all of the time up until a couple days ago. I went here to get some milk tea and i experienced racism towards a young african american man. Saying, "you won't like it so there's no need for you to buy it". Me, I am a white woman and i walked up and the man asked if i'm going to like it and the worker said yes she is going to like it. I can't help but to think that it is because i am white and this young man was not. i am no longer giving my services to this place because of racism, it was an awful experience and i have never experienced racism first hand like that. It was absolutely ridiculous that one of the younger worker men had done that, for absolutely no reason either. He was a very nice young man, and seemed very calm and composed. However i was not. This is definitely the best Boba spot in the area! I am always served with smiles and positive attitudes. When I get my fix of a Classic Pearl milk tea, I always get it with less sweetness and it always tastes amazing. While I'm reading some of the other reviews, it seems to me that people don't understand the challenges of being a new business. Even if you don't get you drink within the second that you ask for it, your drink is made with quality service from these workers, and I for one taste the quality in every drink I get... which is probably why I cant help but to purchase a drink whenever I am even remotely in the area. read more

I love that there is a Sharetea now located in Tacoma near where I live. The drinks are good and the boba is well made! Always soft and chewy. I love the green milk tea with boba. The customer service has always been great! However, ever since I heard how the employees are treated and over-worked without lunches or breaks I can't help but not respect the place anymore. The lines are extremely busy and there are usually only two working at a time to help manage the amount of customers. Some are working long shifts without lunches or breaks given by their manager which is not okay (or legal?) and is simply too much to expect from these young workers. read more

I ordered for the tiger milk boba and it is by far the most tasteless tiger milk drink that I have ever tried. My hope was high because the price is more than 4$ in a very small cup. This is the first time I made a review but I felt like I had to! The young man at the cashier was exceptionally nice to me. I heard his coworker call him Elis or Ellis, so I'm thinking that's his name. I came into the store not knowing what to order yet he guided me throughout the menu and helped me decide what I want. I also spotted him making the drink as well and when I tasted it, it tasted very delicious. I don't like sweet drinks yet he helped me tone down the sweetness and made it very enjoyable. I made this account just to write this review. I use to come here often with my boyfriend and loved it so much that it use to be our regular go-to. The previous manager was very polite and well mannered. He use to always thank us and asked how our days went. He would be the one to make our drinks and it would ALWAYS be delicious. I heard that he quit due to personal issues which was sad to hear. Now the drinks are watery and the boba isn't as good as before not sure why? I've came here a few times and been disappointed. Also the employees now are rude and ignore you. I would have to wait additional 5 minutes for my order to be taken when my boyfriend and I are at the front of the cashier. They don't tell us to wait, they ignore you. Please fix your management! read more

I've been to about 10 different Sharetea locations and I never get disappointed with the quality of the drinks they serve. It was the service. There were 3 other customers waiting for their drinks. I was able to order my drink as soon as I got there. From the time I placed the order, I had to wait 27 minutes to get my drinks. There were 3 employees and none of them seemed to have the recipes memorized. The girl that was making the drinks had the recipe in front of her and had to check the recipe for every single steps/ingredients. No wonder it took me 27 minutes to get my drinks. They are simply not ready to work there. Dear management, Please train the employees so they at least have the recipes memorized so it doesn't take forever for them to make the drinks!
