The place has a very campfire feel to it...hence the name. Loved the deco and picks of folks travelling and at various camps from all over. There was also a Mobile ordering station for maybe when it gets busy? I had the Nitro (maple) cold brew, which was super good. My coworker had an espresso shot plus a coffee...I can't remember what he ordered, but he really liked it as well...so 3 for 3 on our choices. Chances are good you'll like what you get here. Parking - Spot is in downtown Tacoma, so I can see parking being an issue, there is street parking but we were there outside of any possible rush time. This review is long overdue as I thought I reviewed them back when I visited them the first or second time! My boyfriend and I have stopped by here for coffee and breakfast sandwiches twice before this recent visit and let me tell you that they always taste amazing! We came here again as BECU is currently hosting an event where they let you enjoy a free drink on them and Campfire Coffee was one of the businesses that is participating! It's been a while since we stopped by so we decided to stop by again. I saw on Yelp that dogs were allowed but they are not, however they do offer a generous pup cup! I was greeted by an female employee and she was very professional, kind and patient as I was trying to decide what to get. She also showed that same positive attitude and mannerism with the customers ahead of me as well. The interior is so cozy and they even have a campfire set up which is great for photo ops or just to hang out at. Additionally, they have a corner with shelves of different things to enjoy while you're there too! I went ahead and got one of their seasonal specials: Grandma's Cabin Energy with light ice and my boyfriend got their Peppermint Mocha. I appreciate that she asked me to make sure I liked it before I left but she nailed it, all the flavors came through and it was the right amount of ice! The drink was so good that I forgot to take a picture! Love that they don't upcharge on flavors especially when a lot of other coffee shops do. We also had a conversation about how they have different seasonal menus and look forward making more creative drinks in the future. On my way back from camping I was so bummed I couldnt have a fire so I stop at campfire coffee for an amazing seasonal latte. There's plenty of parking around the side or front even on a Saturday. Ample seating in room to hang out. The decor was fine as well. This seems like a great coffee place for the community. I'll stop by here again, even though it's two hours from my house. read more

The drip coffee wasn't very freshly made at 9:30 on a Sunday and it was not even fully hot. If they roast their own, it must've been pretty old. I walked out of my way to avoid Starbucks and come here, so I was disappointed that I probably would've been better off there. read more

Campfire Coffee has been on my radar for a while and I finally got the chance to check it out last week. I'm so happy this place is less than 15 minutes from home! It's super close to UW Tacoma, so this definitely seems to be a hangout spot for college students working on homework, studying, etc. The whole time I was here (4 hours or so) it was comfortably full of other people working/studying. This coffee shop has ample table space for laptops and also plenty of outlets which is a bonus. I love how themed this spot is - given the name, you can probably guess that it's a camping/PNW theme and it's so cute. Loved all of the decor and the camping chair setup in the back of the cafe centered around a "campfire." Cute tree stump tables and simple wooden folding chairs. String lights strewn around the cafe. What's not to love?! Since I was here for a good amount of time, I tried a good amount of the menu including the Eggnog Latte, S'mores Latte, and the bacon breakfast sandwich. I forgot to ask for the Eggnog Latte uncut, so it wasn't as "eggnogy" as I usually like. Still good though. The S'Mores Latte was my favorite between the two - not too sweet, had a smoky taste to it, and the coffee was so smooth! The sandwich was good - didn't blow my mind, but it was tasty. I can't remember what brand it is, but it's just a pre-packaged one that they heat for you. I definitely see myself returning here a couple of times a month to work. Yelp told me that I should go to Campfire, so clearly that's what I did! Super easy street parking in the morning, though there were a few near by pay lots for parking. Place was super easy to find and has some outdoor seating areas. Easy walking from UWT for you students! The inside really ties the "campfire" name in! Very clear theme going on, complete with "campfire" heater to kinda get the vibe going. Interestingly enough - they roast their coffee over a campfire -- old school style! Campfire Coffee has been on my list of coffee shops to check out for awhile and I finally made a trip recently. Parking was easy on the day I visited and I was able to park right on the side of their shop. I received great customer service and the employee gladly helped me decided what to order. I went with a 12 oz s'mores latte and it came out quickly. Very delicious - I felt like it was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The entire coffee shop is beautiful and has a lot of different spaces you can sit while also not being super close to other people. The only thing I did not like was there's no prices listed on the menu for anything - please consider adding the prices or at least on your website. read more

A newer and excellent coffee shop that is now present on the Tacoma coffee shop scene! As you walk in, as the name implies you see a camping theme going on with camping chairs in the back to sit at and kind of a picnic idea in other parts. I really love Campfire's coffee and have bought a bag of their beans to make coffee at home. While sitting down in the morning it really feels and has the flavor of camping out. Very unique flavor profile! Campfire is very involved with the community and does beverage projects for example like with Wingman Brewing among other places. I love the coffee drinks here too! Close to UW Tacoma and nearby attractions. I loved the coffee, it was smooth and sweet crafted latte with hints if graham, marshmallow and chocolate. Definitely something different than you will find a the "run of the mill" coffee joints in terms of taste and ambiance. I was surprised by the cool eco bamboo straw! Service was good and they were pleasant and gave good suggestions for their specialty drinks. I came last night for a painting class and then had to come back the next morning with my hubby. The place is great. The coffee is amazing and the fact that they roast their coffee over a fire is so cool. I got the cortado, without any sweetener, and the flavor was amazing. I went twice in the same day on a day trip to see the Kinsey Family exhibit at the Tacoma Art Museum...that says a lot. Food/drinks: The hot chocolate with almond milk was a delight! Sweet but not too sweet, a hint of marshmallow syrup, delicious. First time had a nice foam on it, which added a creaminess. GF, DF cookies were all gone but I found a dietary-friendly protein bar, which wasn't bad. Service: friendly and helpful! I didn't feel rushed when I asked questions as a first timer, even though there was a line. Ambiance: cute. The campfire theme carried throughout, from the wood detail to the tent/campfire seating in the back to the drink flavors. I didn't stay for long but I wouldn't mind sitting for a while. SINCE IT WAS REMOVED IM POSTING AGAIN woke up this morning to TACOMA POLICE DEPARTMENT calling my phone, claiming the coffee shop in my building (campfire coffee) had called the police on me for my car being parked in the same area as the handicap ramp. confused, i told the officer that this must be a mistake & proceeded to tell him how parking patrol isn't on patrol till 8am. he said the coffee shop made the call and he was doing his job. i let him know they were hypocrites, given the owner of campfire coffee parks there as well. i proceed downstairs to ask the shop why they would call the police on me upon entering i made way to the counter & ask the two workers who called the police on me. the black women said she had no idea & that noone called. i emphasized on the fact that the police just told me they did & out of nowhere the white worker (in her twenties) starts spitting out her mouth how i need to move my vehicle. too much nasty attitude for a chick who makes coffee! at that point i start recording and the white girl flees! i explain how I'm confused that this business would call the police on me when i live here! & they work here! i go on to say the owner of the very same business that called the police on me, parks in the same spot as i! eventually i argue with a customer who decided to butt in. after giving my info to the girl to speak to owner i go home (at this point i move my car as patrol is from 8-6pm) while looking out my window i see the owner pull up & guess where he parks?! he parks in my exact spot that they called the police on me for mind you idc where anyone parks but i insist on letting him know about his employees i tell him what happened and point out his car being in the same spot the called the police on me for and he insist that i am lying! he says he doesn't believe his worker called the cops three uw campus officers pull up and as the conversation heats up the owner eventually asks me to exit, which i do. as i go outside in officer company, he comes outside to follow me and proceeds to buck up as if he was going to do something. he had the right plan! wrong guy! i had to let his ass know about himself so fast forward I'm on the phone with 911 to report his car as they did mine. 911 repeats to me in front of two other campus officers that IN FACT CAMPFIRE COFFEE DID CALL THE POLICE dumbfounded the listening officers remain silent. i continue to explain my point of view. as actual police officers pull up, the owner threatens to press charges and more. i major in law & policy so i had no worries. i tell the officer the situation and he sums it up as "IRONIC" given the shop called the cops on me for the same thing they were doing. my point in speaking to the owner was to show him idc about parking but dont call the cops on me. he refused to believe his worker committed such a heinous act. i say all this to say that you can't run a business and hold people to a standard that you can't even meet yourself. the owner should have apologized at the very least. instead he doubled down and supported his employee. all while doing the very same thing as me when they called the police. im DISGUSTED AND TRAUMATIZED i been living here longer than this business has obtained a lease & the fact they called the cops on me when noone has ever called the cops on them is disgusting i have supported this business just off the fact that it is black owned but that is no more.
