We rented an RV for a month long National Park tour last summer and had a wonderful time. The RV was clean, well stocked and ran perfectly. We really didn't have any problems to speak of. We drove almost 4000 miles and the RV made it with no problems. The A/C did go out once, but we called Joe and he walked us how to reset it, which fixed the problem. We are now planning another road trip and we will definitely go back to sharemycoach. read more

Just got back from another great vacation in San Diego (Mission Bay) and Oceanside. Our family has been doing RV vacations with ShareMyCoach.com for the past 4 years and all of us love it - especially the kids. We get to pick from a huge variety of really nice coaches, and the cost is reasonable. This time we had a 38' diesel pusher with bunk beds for the kids and a lot of other great amenities. When we roll into the RV park - everyone looks up and goes "Oohh - that's a nice coach - guy must be rich". I don't have to tell them that I just rented it for a 5 day weekend..... During the 10 years that we owned our trailer ShareMyCoach was the only bright spot for us. We got caught up in the McMahan's RV bankruptcy and paid for repairs that were not done. As soon as we got our trailer to ShareMyCoach they immediately made me feel comfortable. After hearing my story they got they repairs done fast and for a very reasonable price. When the trailer was fixed we put it in the rental program. It wasn't always rented out but it rented enough to cover the cost of storage! When it came time to sell it they were able to get us a GREAT price and made it hassle free. I highly recommend other RV owners take their RV's here and get in on the rental program. ****AWESOME SERVICE**** We rented a coach to travel the Central Coast and had the best experience with a rental in my last 30 years of renting. Joe & Gina are fabulous and could write a book on customer service. When I arrived to pick up my RV Joe had found something wrong with the coach and quickly got his staff involved to correct the situation. Gina was also the only person to promptly call me back when I was originally searching my rental options. I called 3 places and Gina called & emailed right away showing interest in my business. They have the best selection of motor homes I've seen and 8 options for 40ft class A's that I took the time to walk through and decide on the perfect fit ( Of course after reviewing their rental schedule). Met with Joe who disclosed any/all fees and answered all of our questions accordingly. share my coach sucks!! the online interactions were fine but when we stepped foot in the RV we noticed so many things were wrong with it. There was a check engine lite on, screens missing, torn and stained carpet, windows that wouldn't stay open unless we we used a stick to hold it up. So we stuck with it and still drove off with this RV in the belief that the guy who told us the engine is fine was telling the truth. After driving it back to our house plugging in and packing it full of stuff we went to just make sure it would start and it didn't ! We had to use the emergency start button. Ok so long story short it had a bad/old dry battery that needed replacing. So we had to go find a place to get a new battery on the way to our campsite. We Bought a new battery and kept going. At our campsite the RV was ok except the piece that held up the table was missing so we used another stick to hold up the table. The water hose sprayed everywhere so we couldn't hook up without creating a puddle under the Rv so we hoped there was enough water in the tank. So after a few days we headed home hit a ton of traffic and didn't get home til 4 so we decided that we would just empty the rv and then return it the next morning since when we signed paperwork they said if you aren't home by 4 we will charge you$50 and if your not back by 5 then we are closed and we will charge you a full day rental. So after emptying the motorhome I get a message saying we need you to bring back motorhome Asap. So I called back and the guy on the other end seemed in distress and seemed like a good guy so I said sure I will bring it back. I will be there asap(20min) but I hit a ton of traffic again and it took 45 min. So we returned as it as quick as we could but when I went to get the paperwork done he was a jerk. He said since you are late we will charge a full day and since you didn't fill the tank we will charge you an extra $50 just to fill it and since you drove further than expected ( off main road to get the battery) we will charge you more money. So he proceeded to be rude and stuck to the "paperwork" and I will never rent from them again!!!! read more

We rented from ShareMyCoach in Stanton for the 2nd time earlier this month, #1809. It was a slick 2013 double expanding 24 ft. class B+ that was clean, well-equipped and everything functioned well on the coach. Unfortunately, and no one at SMC to blame, on Hwy 1 in Big Sur we lost power--down to about 40% of normal. We had no phone service there (AT&T) so we "limped" into Carmel without stopping. Once we had phone, we contacted SMC and they immediately directed us to find the closest Mercedes dealer and get it diagnosed and fixed ASAP, and that they would cover it. Turns out most Mercedes dealers don't deal with the Sprinters, so the Monterrey dealer sent us over the hill to Salinas to a mechanic that was certified to do so. Turns out these Sprinter diesels are all software-driven. They connected their laptop, found 8 yellow flags and proceeded to diagnosis/correct items. Over an hour later we traveled back to Carmel, only to see it go into what they call "Limp Home Mode" (LHM) again! The next day we traveled back to Salinas, had it corrected, then decided to abort the vacation plans there in Carmel and Monterrey and head home down the 101 where if we broke down we could maybe find help. After a stop in Morro Bay, the next day we headed home, only to go into LHM a 3rd time 2 hours from home. I tell this story so you get an idea of our disappointment that the vacation was pretty much hammered, but so you can see it wasn't ShareMyCoach's "fault" but still their responsibility. After returning the RV the next day I met with Joe Hill a couple days later to discuss the matter. He had reviewed the whole story from staff and from me, and he did what was right--he refunded the majority of the money I had paid SMC on the spot. I want to commend him on his integrity and uprightness to deal with me as a customer that had his family's vacation so sideways due to equipment failure which was no one's "fault", but sideways anyway. He at least owned the responsibility to meet this business's promise posted on his walls "to do the right thing even if uncomfortable" to make his customers happy. The vehicle itself was joy to drive when under full power. All that said we intend to use SMC (ShareMyCoach) again in the future as our kids love RV trips whenever we do them. You can't put a price on memories like that! I give SMC 5 stars as a "Thank You" and to encourage them to continue to "do the right thing" when they have to. --Glenn. C. read more

Joe Hill and Share my Coach.com is definitely ripping people and your insurance company off. Joe was renting our motor home for a period of time and would love to have people do damage. He would charge your insurance over inflated charges and fix it himself or barter with repair people to get it fixed. We had our coach damaged and he never repaired it before we stopped renting though his company. We went to court and won a judgment against Sharemycoach.com but have never been paid. Totally lied to us and is dishonest. read more

We are new to RVing, having rented one coach a few years ago. However, in the last 4 months, we have rented 3 different coaches from Joe at ShareMyCoach.com and each time was a really great experience. The coaches are immaculate when you pick them up, and I am really fussy! They give you a thorough tutorial on each coach, they really do know each one inside and out. The coaches are all privately owned, so they vary widely. And when stuff inevitably happens on the road, they have been helpful and fair. read more

We recently rented an RV from Share My Coach, the sales person, Mark, was so informative and patient with us explaining the pros and cons of each vehicle to help us make the right choice for my family. He also suggested several places to go camping. I figured since these were privately owned coaches they would be well maintained and I was right. We weren't sure if buying an RV would be the right choice for us and we didn't want to spend the money if we weren't sure but after renting one and finding how easy was to do so, I think we will just continue renting from Share My Coach and save the extra money we would spend on buying one. read more

My wife and I rented a coach in 2012 from these folks and it was adequate although going uphill it constantly overheated. In 2013 we returned and much to my chagrin rented again to take our grandkids to Zion and Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. That was our first mistake. The coach was not ready when we arrived. They claimed to have a slide problem as it was being worked on. Then when it was ready they opened the slides and a mouse ran out. The person who checked us out was basically incompetent. Unknown to us at the time, the microwave was not working, the GFI in the bathroom would not reset and half the plugs were not working. We found out why later. We discovered the lack of plugs working and the Microwave on the first stop. Well we worked around all that and ignored it. However in trying to hook up the cable tv my hand was burned when the coaxial cable almost melted on to the RV camp hookup. This alerted me that someone was not grounded properly and I discovered the GFI would not reset. I then went to dump the gray and black water and when attaching the hose was hit with 120 volts and thrown backwards. Had my grandchildren touched this they could have been electrocuted. I reported it immediately to ShareMyCoach and they sent someone out to Jackson, Wyoming from a local RV site. The guy arrived discovered the lack of ground which was obvious as it had found a ground on me and then discovered that the 50 amp plug had been incorrectly wired and hot was on ground and ground was on hot. He said you are lucky your didn't get electrocuted. This problem could have and should have been fixed before we left if a competent person had gone over the electrical system to find out why the GFI would not reset. They didn't have someone properly check out this Coach before renting it. Not only that when we asked for 1 days credit, they refused it and said we could have one day credit on next years rental. Never will I rent from these folks again and they can take their one day and shove it where the sun don't shine. read more

Rented an Allegro Bus Diesel pusher RV for my children's Spring Break. We made a last minute decision to go camping up the coast in vicinity of Pt. Mugu/Santa Barbara. I called Joe on a Sunday (most RV rental companies are closed) to discuss the possibility of renting one of his RVs in which we would be leaving the next morning. He got me the contract and insurance binder paperwork within 2 hrs via email and we successfully contracted the rental with less than a days notice. We had a great experience with our motor home and all of the staff including Joe Hill. My kiddos were fired up and so excited to ride in a big motor home and go camping for the week... My family decided to rent an RV for our first vacation with our 2 yr old. We were referred by a friend to use Share My Coach. I'm glad we did, we had an excellent experience and great memories because we rented from an awesome turn-key operation! The courteous staff gave us all the information we needed regarding what to do with the RV and how to use the amenities before going out on our trip and they were available anytime should we have any questions while we were out on the road or at our camp site. We wanted to keep the RV one more night, but it was already reserved by another family. I had a great experience renting an RV from Share My Coach for my family vacation with my wife and 2 kids ( 9 & 6 years old). This was our first time renting an RV and Mark Lund did a great job helping us select the perfect one for us. He did a very thorough job in explaining all the features on the RV and how they worked. He even gave us his cell phone for 24/7 access if we had any problems. Edgar checked us out and it was speedy and efficient, which was a nice experience after a long drive back home. They made me aware of every dime I was spending with them and I never felt misled. All fees and expenses were full disclosure. I had thought of some questions before we left for our trip and Mark was typically always available to answer those questions or call me right back. Joe, the owner, really runs an efficient business and Mark and Edgar provided me and my family with Ritz Carlton Service with Fed Ex efficiency. read more

BIG DISASTER! Gave Joe at sharemycoach my forest river coach 9 months ago, this coach was brand new, we had only used it four days. Joe the owner sold me on the service and the care that they would take with my coach, so I gave it to him, but when we picked up the coach it was destroyed!!!!! We have over $10,000.00 in damage to our coach! back up cameras broken, stabilizers broken, my batteries exchange for car batteries,front shade ripped and will no go up, passenger chair ripped, sink leaking, awning ripped, outside paint decals ripped off, dash board cracked, shower lock broken, three broken cabinet doors, ripped front step ,screen door ripped, TV scratched, missing stove knobs,missing knob on vent, wood panels in bedroom and hall scratched, pop out weather stripping ripped off, outlets in half the coach not working, scratched scratched stainless steel fridge, gum on the carpet, and was filthy in side, called Joe to complain he would not pick up my calls so I was texting him and he had one of his guys call me to tell me he was busy but they would repair my coach and Joe text me that they would repair the damage, but I saw the work they did and would not trust them after the way I got my coach back, Also Joe gave me a 1099 for $9,837.00 for the use of my coach, but I only received $3,727.98 Joe at sharemycoach kept $6,109.02 for repairs that were not done and other fee so that he keeps all your earnings. please email me if you have had the same experience with this unscrupulous place at sierraloans@aol.com . read more

On July 09,2016 we rented one coach Class A , one rear tire was blowed on the freeway near victor ol after 1 and half hours from start , and then the exhausting pipes under the RV fell down !!! We had to slow down and stopped on the shoulder of the freeway . We called Sharemycoach for help at once , they wasted 2 hours before sending a replacement car as we have 4 little kids in the RV , we were very worry and the kids were panic as the freeway was very busy with too many vehicles passing by .....but Sharemycoach didn't even show any sympathy and when we called, they were very impatient and trethen us to leave us alone on the road when we called for status. The emergency contact person is particularly impatient and we were left stranded for 5 hours. All we ask is to keep us informed so we can comfort the kids, anyway please do not use this service as they don't care customers' safety and well being once you rent the RV. read more

We owned a 32 foot travel trailer and upon moving last year had no place to store it so we decided to use Sharemy coach to rent it/store it for us. Over the last year we had nothing but a positive experience with them. Our trailer rented out, we received monthly invoices, Shane took care of servicing and maintaining our trailer... and not only did we not have to ever pay for storage but also made enough money to cover our registration, insurance and maitenance. Unfortunately, we had to sell it. Delanie helped us put it on consignment while keeping it in the rental program. After a few months we really couldn't wait for it to sell anymore so we were going to take it back to the dealership we bought from to sell it, but Joe, the owner, offered to buy it himself for the same price dealership was going to pay us. It was easy and hassle free to go in and transfer it, plus Joe offered us 2 free weeks rental on it. I was really bummed to have had to sell it but it couldn't have gone any smoother. I will definitely rent from them in the future and an FYI to all those who want to go buy a pretty new one...please rent first and be aboslutely sure, I wish I had. The cost of gas, insurance, registration, maitenance, storage added up even though we had the money to buy the trailer and owned it free and clear. It was less than 2 years old, but just like when you buy a new car, the second you drive off the lot it is worth less than half what you paid for it...I can not say enough about how great Joe, Delanie and Shane (the 3 people we dealt with) are. read more

Next month will be our fourth rental with Sharemyoach and I cannot speak highly enough of EVERYONE that works their. We have had different rentals each time we rented and they have ALL been very clean and have been above our expectations, no lingering smells which we have experienced with other rental places. Joe and Gina are extremely pleasant and the customer service they provide is above and beyond what any other rental place has given. They treat you like you are family and not just a number. They provided a BBQ for all their customers....what kind of businesses do that? We did have a problem on a HOLIDAY with our rental and I cannot thank Joe and his staff enough for the the concern and care they gave us, I thought for sure being a family holiday that I would not get help or if I did that it would be delayed ........ not ONLY did they take care of the situation at hand but they followed up later in the day to make sure we were OK. I cannot speak highly enough of SHAREMYCOACH and the comments from the previous reviewer are really a shocker to me. Joe takes care of the situaion at hand to get the customer taken care of at that moment even if in the long run he will be in the hole. I would also like to comment on the rental insurance that the person is so upset about ...try having to use it and see what happens they are the worst to deal with and the 15.00 a day may seam very reasonable but not worth all the time, stress, trouble and fees involved if used. I would much rather use my own insurance. They know me and know what kind of customer I am and I know the EXACT coverage that I am getting and feel comfortable knowing that MY OWN insurance is what is going to protect me when we step foot in a 100,000.00 plus vehicle. Renting anything in life is a simple concept.... you bring it back in the same shape as you got it (OK ...minus the wash of the vehicle). Yes, you do pay a cleaning fee but that doesn't mean you trash the thing and for heavens sake if you damage it let them know about it. It is issues like these that cause the rental rates to go up in price. The above along with the rental rates keep us coming back. I wish that people who did these reviews where completely honest about their situations and posted everything about that particular situation. Don't let this one reviewer prevent you from renting from SHAREMYCOACH... If anything go down and meet Joe and Gina you will see by the way you are welcomed the kind of people they are.!!!! read more
