    my new bike!

    A couple of weeks ago I was looking for a used motorcycle, something that's in a good shape and as original as possible, and then I ran across an ad on the craigslist posted by what turned out to be RV and a trailer dealer. At first, it was too good (bit weird to be honest) to be true but regardless I decided to give them a call. Sales manager Misha explained to me that the customer traded in the toy-carrier trailer along with the bike. I drove to their location to check it out. The whole paperwork and DMV deal took like an hour to get done. I got an awesome bike, good deal, two keys, owners manual, and few service records that the previous owner left. Thank you Misha!

    Hours are not correct wasted my time coming to check... it says its open 9 am-4 pm even if its holiday hours you should change youre time.

The second article I submitted was very negative; and I still have to hold to my remarks. However, I will confess that I was rather frustrated and disappointed; and by luck of the draw, I ended up with an Airstream vehicle that was not up to the Airstream standard. By default; I realize every now and then there is going to be a bad apple in the bunch; or in automotive vernacular, a lemon! Since that time, I have cooled off quite a bit; and accepted my fate. I now own an Airstream Ridgeline; which I have used daily for the past six months or so. (I live in the Ridgeline full-time with my dog.) Having acclimated to the RV lifestyle; I have come to realize that the use and stress on the equipment is much greater when you live in the vehicle full-time; than someone who takes a trip four or five times a year. Even with the heavy use on the camper; I have only had one repair needed; which was probably more caused by operator malfunction; then by a defect in the workmanship or materials. So I wanted to write this third review and say that I am very happy with the service and effort put forth by the staff at the Orange County dealership. My sales representative is Bobby; and he has become a good friend. On his own time, and at his own insistence; he drove 20 miles after work and spent over two hours with me to get me situated after the malfunction that I mentioned above. Robert in the service department; has been flexible and communicative; and has been very courteous. Also, Candace has helped me a great deal with warranty information and insurance matters; which saved me a lot of hassle and time. It's too bad that I had a difficult experience; but, it wasn't a lack of sincerity or effort of anyone on staff at Airstream Orange County. This review is probably not the place to make the following comment; but I want to give a shout out to Matt and pray that he is doing well in his present challenges. Thank you, Bobby, Robert, Candace and all the staff at Airstream Orange County for your professional and courteous service.

    I hired this company to diagnose an issue with my RV slide and paid $200 for the service call…read more Their conclusion was that the motors needed to be replaced, and I was told they would follow up with a quote for parts and labor. Instead, I contacted BAL, the manufacturer of the slide system, directly. BAL recommended a retrofit repair kit as the proper fix, which I purchased myself for $160. That kit includes two new motors. Once I had the OEM-recommended parts, I asked this company for a labor-only quote. After multiple follow-ups, they declined to even provide one, stating their technician "has not had good luck" with these retrofit kits and that they were not comfortable performing the repair. That's the part I find most frustrating. The retrofit kit still involves replacing the same motors they originally diagnosed as failed. If they were not comfortable performing the manufacturer-recommended repair, that should have been disclosed upfront -- before I paid for a diagnosis and spent time sourcing the solution myself. I appreciate their honesty in ultimately admitting their limitations, but that honesty came after the fact, not before. In the end, I paid $200, got no repair, no quote, and no clear path forward until I handled it myself. Future customers should ask upfront whether the technician is experienced with their specific slide system and whether they are willing to quote labor separately before paying for a diagnosis.

My biggest things with dealers are getting straight answers and not keeping me there all day. There was no run around and my sales was handled in 2 visits totaling roughly 3 hours. Of course the financing department was typical in trying to upsell add ons but that's just standard practice. If you easily cave to pressure, i suggest booking a therapy sessions before entering a financing office. Their overall rating on yelp is a 3.2 and that's probably about the highest you can rank in this type of industry. Customers need to realize things will break, the parts these things are built with tend to be lightweight and flimsy and that goes for pretty much all makes. RV life is hands on, if you plan to bring your coach in for service at every hiccup, plan for things to take a while and possibly interrupt your travel plans. We reached out around the country to inquire about other units and honestly felt most comfortable working with Mike Thompson's. Thanks for everything!

    Like everyone else I am here to warn you about the service department at Mike Thompson's RV store…read morein the Fountain Valley location we purchased our RV used from them in December of 2025. A few days later when we picked it up and brought it home we noticed a bunch of hydraulic fluid almost all of it had leaked out all over our street. Our sales guy was amazing as was our purchase experience and he came immediately to our house on Sunday and took it back to their shop which was pretty impressive. Now for the service department they were upset with the salesperson for doing things unconventionally and actually complained about his immediate action to take care of the customer. It took about 2 weeks for the service department to correct this and upon pickup we were told that the issue was fixed and we were also asked to pay $150 warranty deductible even though we hadn't had the coach for even an hour off their lot which we refused. There were three other items that we also reported which were the door lock getting stuck and having to jump out of the window to get out and jump in the window to get in was one the other two I cannot remember at this time we'll update review Once I get the details. Now we were on a trip in Cathedral City which is about 3 hours away from Mike Thompson's RV in Fountain Valley and our slide won't come out the same slide that they fixed the hydraulic one and our levelers won't come down as well as our generator will not kick on. We try and call for a mobile service tech to come out and after six different people refused to work on our coach due to the lengthy and unreasonable process of getting paid by the warranty taking up to 30 days. So after realizing that the $6,000 warranty has been useless and gotten us nothing because we live in our RV now full time and had to go rent a room and pay $1,100 out of pocket while our RV went back to Mike Thompson's in Fountain Valley. We made an appointment for May 18th to have our coach inspected and repaired. We arrived to drop it off and are told they are seriously backed up and they would not be able to look at it today or maybe even tomorrow they would call us once they did have time. I called the service department to check on our RV a few days later and I was told that our RV was due for some regular maintenance items that would be about $2,000 out of pocket. At this time we had only been in possession of our RV for Less Than 3 months and it already needed service with less than a thousand miles on it. As for the things that we needed fixed they were still working on that part but just wanted to let us know about all the other things. A couple more weeks go by and we called about five more times with no return calls back as promised and decided to go down there in person since nothing was happening over the phone. On June 8th we went down to Mike Thompson's RV to demand and update. We talked to the service manager Jim and also the sales manager Adam on this day both were very apologetic and said that previous management issues were in process of getting worked on and resolved and that I could rest assured that this would be handled immediately. Later that day I received a call from Jim stating they had ordered the part and it would be overnighted and we would hopefully have it by Wednesday which is the 10th of June. Adam who I spoke with on the 8th guaranteed me that he himself personally would call me that same day and give me an update to what I had requested which was for us to be able to pick up our RV by the 9th and the 150 deductible to be waived and reimbursement for the housing cost that we incurred due to their negligence and delays and dishonest Behavior. Now I really did believe that Adam was a man of his word as he seemed to understand and want to help however he never called me as of yet and it's been another day. I will be filing a complaint with the automobile board where they have a license and with the Better Business Bureau as well for this companies negligence and inability to process claims for warranty items submitted. I will be demanding a refund of my $6,000 for a warranty that I've been unable to use to get repairs. I feel really bad for the sales people who work so hard to create a customer experience that you Rave about only for the service department to greatly harm that experience by not providing the service that matches the sales. If you have had a similar experience with this company at this location please message me as I will join together with all the one-star reviews that had the same experience as mine in bringing this company to the table to stop taking consumers money and doing nothing in return.     We purchased a used RV, first time owners, and came here for service on our 2022 Forester 2401 MBS…read more We did a lot at this first visit: 6 new tires, adjusted Slideout, reinforced the ladder, added another solar panel and new controller, resealed the roof, and a lot of miscellaneous items. We also spent a lot on this initial service, but we felt very satisfied with the quality of work done and overall value. Jeff and his team know what they are doing, and they do a very professional job. He gives good advice on what is and is not a good idea to fix/alter, and he is very customer oriented, making sure things are clean and working as they should, and even threw in complimentary items during the service like a replacement cover for our awning arm he happened to have, moving my fridge to gain a storage space for my long pans, adjusting my shaky rear view mirror, etc. The quality of the work here is great, everything works well and I like that he did some more service items that were really needed (!) like flush my hot water tank- it was so full of white scale! He also works with the insurance companies to fix things that are under warranty and makes it happen in a reasonable amount of time, as much as he can control. We were looking for a good RV service provider for our "new" RV since we plan to keep it for a long time. We definitely have found that service partner here in Jeff's group. They are so knowledgeable and experienced, and he is so reasonable and easy to work with. We highly recommend this business and will definitely use it in the future. Note: If you have to wait for an appointment, it's worth it. The business is popular for a reason, and it's not like other places you hear about where they keep your rig for months and leave you hanging. If they are waiting for a part, they call you when it comes in and take care of you when you bring your RV back in.

The quality of the build, smart and thoughtful design and the corresponding retention of value resulted in our scheduling a trip to the nearest Lance dealer, Galaxy Campers in Ontario. We had heard great things about David, the owner and Miguel, the sales manager. From an initial phone call to David and two subsequent visits where we met David and Miguel we experienced friendly, professional assistance without any pushiness. We ended up placing an offer to buy a new 2024 1875 model at an outstanding price. We negotiated some upgrades, an extra solar panel, two 300 amp hr lithium batteries and an E2 weight distribution anti sway hitch. They were able to complete the upgrades and we closed the sale today. Miguel went over every aspect of the trailer's design, controls having us interact to see firsthand how the controls and options worked. Thorough not rushed and addressing all our rookie questions. David dialed in the rear view camera and corresponding monitor so we had a perfect rear view as well as explaining all the steps in hitching and unhitching the trailer. Again I participated instead of just watching the steps involved. It's the little things replacing a tiny cotter pin with a larger one for ease of use, Paper work was efficient, both David and Miguel made sure I had their cell numbers for any later questions. Great product, great service and value and supporting a second generation family business just puts the icing on the cake. Our first trip, back to Oceanside, went flawlessly. David answered a call from us when we questioned the battery disconnect off setting after arriving home. Great people to work with!

    This shop could not have made buying and selling a camper any easier. I bought a used Lance…read moreslide-in a from Galaxy a few years ago. They were willing to negotiate, patient when I picked it up and took time to explain all the systems to me. In addition, they gave me the peace of mind knowing they'd help if I had any troubles (which I did not). When I was ready to move on to another camper, they took my used camper on consignment and sold it in weeks. This is a locally owned, zero hassle shop. I highly recommend this team.
