I love casual cheese bars like this especially when you just want a nice snack before dinner to start the night and catch up with friends. However, this wasn't one of my favorite cheese bars in town. The cheeses were good but nothing special and the food pairings on the cheese board didn't seem to go that well with what was given. We paid $20 for a 4 cheese board which came with a few marcona almonds, green olives, Sweety Drop peppers, and bread with a mustard spread and fig Jam. We aren't allowed to pick the cheeses but rather they pick for you. I felt for the hard cheeses we had, we needed better food pairings and I was expecting more spreadable cheeses for the bread. They do have a crumbly cheese that has mustard seeds in it which was unique and delicious. I wish they had made some cheeses in house that could taste more fresh and would be unique to that place. They were also understaffed for a Saturday evening as there was a long line to place your order and the cheese board took really long to finally come out. We didn't have anyone check back in with us anytime after our board came out to see if we needed anything more like water, bread, had questions, etc... it could have been just that night, but we just didn't get the same attention we do in some other places like this. I've gone to Urban Stead and felt the quality of the cheeses were better and their boards are cheaper for what you get in terms of amount of cheese. We had enough from the one board with 5 cheeses to fill us up. They also interacted a ton more while we were there and the cheeses are so fresh since they make them all in-house. I'm glad I tried this place out as I've always passed by and wanted to try it out. It's located in Pleasant Ridge which is central for the Cincinnati area and it is around the corner from Nine Giants brewing. This has been on our bucket list for awhile. Finally got to visit this hidden gem. Located in Pleasant Ridge across the street from Everybody's Records. Walked in and loved the laid back feel. Simple decor and open. Easy to order! We looked over the menu and decided to get the 4 cheese and 4 meats for $35.00. Picked a bottle of red for $23.00 (Portuguese). We felt that it was versatile and would go with any cheese. You are able to get it by the glass or if you don't feel like wine, they do sell craft beers in the fridge. You can pick your cheese if you like. There were two that caught our eye that we had to request the four alarm cheddar cheese (jalapeño, chipotle, habanero and ghost peppers) and Dragon's breath but it's soft blue cheese with spices and hints of mustard. They do not make the cheese in house. Their cheese are imported from all over the world. Very great selection in my opinion. With your cheese tray, you do get bread, olives and nuts and preserves. When we receive our tray, we were truly impressed! Cheese, bread, meats were fresh and presentable. They went well with our wine. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Besides our great experience, they do offer specials. Happy hour on Friday's, Wednesday's are flight and bites, Thursday's are sandwich nights. They also cater! Pleasant Ridge is an excellent, laid back destination for good times, and Share Cheesebar fits in with this description. Located just off of Montgomery on Ridge Road, it's certainly right at home in this great area, while bringing its own unique flare and flavor. Fine wine, delicious cheese, tasty charcuterie, good craft beer, and much more. My lady and I had been wanting to check this spot out for a while and we were definitely glad when we did. The place itself is very cozy and relaxed in its atmosphere. Grab a spot anywhere you like. You place your order at the counter and they'll bring it right to you once its ready. I'd recommend checking out their array of fine cheeses from all around the world. The staff are always happy to give samples, or if you're ordering a cheese and charcuterie plate, you can ask for certain cheeses to be added to it. Try the four alarm if you like it spicy! For our first trip here, we went with the four cheese and four meat plate (they offer many different size plates to enjoy) along with a bottle of Portuguese red blend wine. When the plate came out, everything looked so fantastic, and tasted even better. Everything about the whole experience almost instantly made it one of our favorite wine and cheese spots. This place has been open for about two years and puts together lovely cheese boards with a view options available for only cheese or cheese and meat boards that come with olives, fig spread, spicy mustard, little peppers and pickles. While you can choose the cheeses you want, we asked that they surprise us and choose for us. My favorite was the cheese with a rind covered in Herbs de Provence. The board is also accompanied by a basket of sliced baguette bread. It wasn't toasted which is my preference vs coldish bread. The board with three cheeses and meats was great for two hungry people. The chairs are metal and while the decor is pleasant, the place lacked that warm, cozy feeling that makes you want to come back over and over. What I really appreciated however was one of the staff offering us a platter that had been ordered and not picked up. Rather than let it go to waste, they offered it to the remaining customers free of charge! Happy Valentine's Day, indeed. That was a kind gesture and made a very good impression. If I were still in the market for dating, this would be my ideal first date spot! It is well lit, in a decently busy neighborhood, small, and has phenomenal meats, cheeses, beer, and wine. Those all come with the perk of knowledgeable and friendly staff. I'm not a fan of spicy, so I have even made simple requests when I order a board, and they always follow through. There isn't a designated parking lot or street parking available right out front, but there is a small street a couple doors down that has free parking. There is also a church (St. Peter's UCC) across the street on Ridge that has parking available. read more

I've wanted to stop here for awhile as cheese is just about my favorite food, right up there with chocolate. Share's Wednesday fondue night was the perfect reason for a visit. For $24, two can dine on the carnivore fondue platter; $20 for the vegetarian. They include bread, apples, broccoli, potatoes, (and sausage in the carnivore platter). Bottles of wine were also half off. What a deal! The pots of cheese, a mix of Swiss, Gruyere and Emmental, were more than enough for the dippers. The cheese had a bit more wine mixed in than I cared for, but other than that, everything was delicious and filling. The weekly fondue nights are suspended until fall, unfortunately. Share is my favorite cheesebar in Cincinnati, hands down! The great selection of cheese combined with amazing service is what keeps me going back every time. You can choose from different board options that come with a chef curated selection. If you don't like a certain cheese then let them know so they don't include it. I usually always get the 8 piece combo. It comes with 4 meats, 4 cheeses, and the standard jams, olives and pickled vegetables. The one great thing about having a chef curate your board is to get a variety and try new things. I have never had the same thing and I have also found cheeses that I have never tried and now like. Share also has other items available like their amazing whipped feta crostini and pimento cheese and pretzels. They even have a dessert option if you are craving something sweet. The one thing I wish they did have is a broader wine selection or a rotating wine selection if they were trying to keep a smaller quantity on hand. Other then that, I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Bonus tip: make sure to follow them on social media or look on their website. I jumped at the opportunity for a girls night and grabbed two of my fellow cheese lovers. The owner, Emily, was super welcoming and helpful. I thought I was going to be overwhelmed by all the cheese options, but turns out, their staff of cheese experts select the different varieties to make up your charcuterie board selection. Between the three of us, we split one meat/cheese board, one cheese board and a burrata - which was plenty. They also sell wine which are very affordable and can be purchased by the bottle or by the glass. Really fun wine/beer and cheese bar in Pleasant Ridge! The chef's choice cheese and charcuterie plate takes all of the guesswork out of pairing, so all you have to do is enjoy. My husband and I came in on a Saturday afternoon and had the place to ourselves. We picked our wine first, and we chose a Cabarnet Sauvignon bottle for $28. Then since we were pretty hungry we went with the 6 piece meat/cheese plate ($25). The plate was delicious, and I think reasonably priced for what you got. It came with three different meats and three cheeses, plus fig jam, marcona almonds, a spicy brown mustard, little peppers, olives, and as much bread as we wanted. We spent over an hour in Share just munching and having fun. The people working here were knowledgeable of their products and very friendly. Ask them for wine recommendations if you don't know where to start, and trust their instincts when it comes to cheese pairings. Wednesday they do a fondue night from 5-8pm (with half price wine bottles!) and Friday night is happy hour, so I'll be coming back for that. Stopped in after work on a Friday, I was at first the only one in. I assume many people still aren't sure this place exists! I only pass it everyday or I would have never known. I like that the "chef's choice" is an option, so you can get a surprise. I was there for happy hour so instead of a bottle I just got a glass and the glasses are hefty. They use 16 Bricks bread which is a local fave of mine. It's a typical charcuterie board and wine place. You can get your own small board or split some with friends. I got two meats and two cheeses, both chef's choice and I was not disappointed. I had plenty of bread and it definitely filled me up and essentially was my dinner. By the time I was leaving the place was packed, it is small but people were even coming in to just buy wine to go! This place has a lot going for it, with a fun atmosphere and great cheese selection. Also the introduction of fondue night (Wednesday only)is a cool idea and a pretty reasonable price considering the amount of food you get. A few drawbacks that are annoying and make the place much less desirable: 1. Seating and parking- Not really the fault of the business but still makes it pretty difficult to patron the place. PR hasn't added enough parking to overcome their growth spurt and that part of Ridge is especially annoying for parking. The seating inside could be reconfigured. It seats like 20-25? Standing room for 80? No idea the exact numbers but seems like there should be more seating. Shared tables are totally fine but that only works when a party of 2 isn't lording over a table that seats 6. Luckily I've only gone in small groups, otherwise probably wouldn't go at all. There is not good space to wait for a table without crowding the dining area and making others kind of squished. People arrive early and claim their table for their party arriving later. So it looks like their is open space but just kidding, someone is saving that table. Frustrating for sure. 2. The price is kind of high for what you get. I'm mostly talking about the wine. I think the cheapest bottle is in the mid $20s, maybe more. Most other places in the city that do charcuterie and wine, give more price variety. At least it's half price for fondue night. The 3 cheese/meat plate is decent in price but kind of small in portion . Also for what you pay, there really isn't table service- no one is coming to the table to check on you or get you more stuff. That would be cool if the bill for a board and bottle wasn't $60. 3. This one probably doesn't apply to most patrons, but it's a notable difference from Share's competition... no free gluten free options. They don't offer any cracker alternatives and instead suggest you buy a TEN DOLLAR box at the register. I get a small up-charge for the crackers, like $1-2 but most places just have that as an option. I think the prices are inflated enough that maybe gluten free crackers can be subsidized in some way. As a side note, I brought my own crackers last time and got some serious side eye from the person delivering our fondue. Anyway, place is cute, clean and great for the neighborhood but it has some price and space issues that hopefully can be worked out. read more

Man the cheese board spread and selection here is awesome!! However, it's definitely designed as your neighbor spot with maybe seating for only 20 at their busiest. The place is casual, and has a 'bring your family, sister, mom' feel like warm and casual. Metal chairs and seats I feel are designed to accentuate the casual nature of the place. Came here with a friend and we for a 3 cheese board and a glass of wine. Now sadly the disappointing part for me is the wine selection. I didn't much like or care for the wine selection so it didn't tempt me to stay longer. But everything is great priced and makes it a place visiting once. We stood in line, ordered our cheese board and wine, was seated and served in under 10 minutes. The only mishap we encountered was my wine was incidentally overlooked, which was immediately corrected! The European cheese board was scrumptious with beautiful pairings of cheese, nuts and jam. This is a great little cheese shop in Pleasant Ridge (Cincinnati, OH). I met a colleague here on a Friday afternoon for a quick lunch meeting. The shop opens at noon and I was a little early...they unlocked the door and let me in early. We had a lovely 6 piece cheese and meat board (with an extra cheese). The chef's choices where spot on. I'm a cheese lover but the best part of the board was actually the fried nuts, sweet peppers and fig spread....heaven!! Our quick lunch meeting lasted 2 hours while we enjoyed our treasures sitting at the front window. The only reason I didn't give five stars is simply that they didn't serve Diet Coke. Actually, they have awesomely cold water, wine, beer and regular Coke in the old fashion bottle. And it is a cheese shop after all...not a full on restaurant. My daughter had come here with a group of friends and loved it, so my husband and I decided to try it out. We came on Wednesday for dinner, since I wanted to try and fondue and the bottles of wine are half-price! We arrived about 6 PM and there was just one table for two left. So we got lucky :o) since they don't take reservations. We ordered and paid up front at the counter (though we did have an option to leave the tab open), and we were seated. The options are fondue with veggies and meat ($24) or veggie ($20), and we went with the meat option, which is sliced sausage. The veggies were a mix of broccoli, apple, and potato, plus chunks of bread. The fondue cheese was a delicious blend, and you can also buy this cheese blend in a container to have fondue at home. We sat near the open fridge with those fondue cheese containers, along with a delicious-looking variety of cheeses. I need to find my fondue pot at home, shop at Share Cheesebar for the meal, and replicate this at home! Though the fondue was yummy, I want to try a charcuterie board next time. I went to Share Cheesebar on a Wednesday which is their cheese fondue night! I went with the meat and vegetable option and a bottle of wine (which was discounted because wine Wednesday!). The fondue came out much quicker than expected. The sausage was amazing as it and even better with the melted delicious cheese fondue mix! Seating is scarce so it may be smart to get there early or only go with one other person. I would call this a small meal for 2 if you only order 1. Will definitely return! This place so cute! Very unassuming - blink and you'll miss it. We had the burrata - you must get it it was delicious. Make sure to get extra bread though. You'll need it. We had a bottle of wine with it - very reasonably priced. It was maybe $18 bucks or so. There's also beer - a variety of local cans. They also have a few shelves with carefully curated items to buy. Perfect for a housewarming or hostess gift. The cheese selection is great along with the accompanying meats. I wasn't really sure what to do and the owner was so sweet in helping us. Hint: You go in and order at the counter, take a number, sit down, and they bring it out to you. Pleasant Ridge has been popping lately with new businesses. This is a great addition. The owner (Emily) is super knowledgeable and makes you feel like you are walking into her home when you walk through her door. The staff is helpful and courteous, and the cheeses are fantastic. I went for a cheese plate based completely on Emily's recommendations, and nothing disappointed! She even recommended a beer to pair with the cheese... Yes, a beer, not a wine, and it was perfect! I do not live in Cincinnati, but I plan to be there in a couple of months, and I am already trying to find ways to make Share Cheesebar a stop on my journey. So so happy I live within half a mile. The BEST cheese at a decent price. Sure, you could go to the grocery and make your own, but the cheeses Share gets are FANTASTIC, way above and beyond something you can find for yourself. Such a fan of the 3-4 cheese board depending on whether quarantine or not, but one time she said she had extra from a catering order and added a 4th cheese to my board for nothing! That's small business service! The best quality cheeses--I've never had one I don't like. And I love the almonds and olives and different sweet peppers--no other cheese board in town has the same high quality and desirable accoutrements.
