The parkway can be busy and a bit treacherous getting into the parking lot. Yet, if you do make it inside you'll find a surprisingly nice place. The tacos and beer are by far my favorite thing. Went to dinner here for the first time and it did not disappoint! There was plenty of seating and a long bar full of various beers on tap, wine options and liquor and they make their own fresh margaritas. The food special for today (Wednesday) were the chicken wings at 75 cents a piece. My main meal was the tacos and they were full of flavor and generously large in size. Interesting little place off River Road, kind of a "townie" bar feel to it. Even though it's name sounds vaguely German, and they have some German-influenced food on the menu, it seems to be a predominantly Mexican-themed menu. Not much in the way of space, with a bunch of high top tables in the main room and small dining room off to the side. Service and food were just ok - nothing noteworthy in either a good or a bad sense, except for the fish taco which was pretty awesome. Maybe this is just a bar that is putting on airs and trying to break into the food scene too, but didn't try any beers so can't comment on them. During these crazy and unusual times, they have continued to offer high quality, excellent ingredients and flavorful food and beverages. My book club has been meeting here on Thursday nights for a few years now and we finally found ourselves reunited last Thursday night. It was a much needed socially distant outside gathering. The food here is outstanding and authentic. No Tex Mex here. The ceviche is fresh and flavorful and served in a martini glass. Their guac is a perfect accompaniment to your meal. The tacos (especially the spicy pork taco) are simply outstanding and plentiful. Some of the street taco places in town serve up tiny tacos. At Biermarkt, you will not be complaining about portion sizes. The owner is very friendly and will do whatever is needed to ensure you have a great experience. Oh, and the beers? They not only have a full bar, but also a balanced, selection of about 20 beers on tap as well as other offerings for those less adventurous beer drinkers. Want to sit outside? They have added a ton of picnic tables with umbrellas outside (easy to clean plastic too) outside so you can enjoy fresh air and fabulous food and time with friends. read more

Mauro & Brenda have the best freshly made food, craft cocktails, top notch bourbon & tequila selections and 20 taps of craft beers. I've been on a hunt for a new spot to try tacos and taco adjacent foods and this was close to a destination I was already at. I ordered online from the parking lot and to kill time while I waited to pick up grabbed a Mad Elf from the bar and drank outside in the snow because PANDEMIC. Anywho, the outdoors even with closed patio was super dope, beer selection was chefs kiss and even though it took me 30 mins to get home with my food it held pretty well and the brisket was good on a quesidilla. I will say the salsa was pretty mediocre, I wish I ordered the bean and corn to add more sauce based flavor but the quesadilla was shockingly fine without sauce. My first impression was it was just "ok". There are not a lot of chairs at the bar and usually when my husband and I go out we like to sit at the bar. So we sat at a table which was odd to me because they only have large tables for groups, no small more quaint tables for couples. Fortunately someone left the bar and we moved there. I couldn't have anything on the menu because I am Celiac but my hubby had the pretzel which looked delicious and the presentation was pretty cool. Now I know its a beer place but since I cannot have beer I had a bourbon on the rocks which came in a tiny beer tasting glass. Kinda strange. The outside is just awful. The tables do not match and the pavement is all uneven. Not good for older folks. I will give the staff 5 stars though. They were very friendly! read more

If it's been a while since visiting Biermarkt, you HAVE to check out the food menu with the new owner . My husband and I were in complete shock and now obsessed with this new menu! The margaritas were strong (made with agave) & the chorizo goetta appetizer on a crunchy tostada was a perfect size to split. When our meals came out, I couldn't even snag a pic of my husbands brisket bowl before he started inhaling it! Lol. I had the brisket taco (in flour tortilla) & the tempura coated mahi mahi taco. Wowwwwwwww-it was amazing! Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. Their patio was perfect for social distancing, too . This just became one of our new favorite restaurants in Cincinnati (on the same level as Sotto, Buddha Barn, Incline PH & Nada). Thank you (new owners) for creating this wonderful experience on the west side - we will definitely be back a LOT this summer. West sider here and wanted to see why the parking lot is overflowing on the weekends! Went on a a Thursday to get a table inside as it was raining. The food was amazing. The pork was very tender. Loved the guacamole! The cauliflower with Queso was piping hot and roasted. The burrito bowl was super fresh and good size.They even have Mich Ultra on tap for those of us who are watching our waistlines or don't care for IPA. My husband liked the full bar. Mauro--I usually get a goetta burrito. On the night we went you were out of goetta so I tried chicken. It looked nothing like the burritos I received in the past. First, it came to me wrapped in foil. I felt like I was at Chipotle. Second, there wasn't any sauce or toppings on it at all. It was extremely dry!! Cool little spot on the westside - down on Rt. 50 - watch out for it though or you'll pass right by it! Pretty solid selection of craft beers, both packaged and a cooler full of singles to mix & match your own. They also have a variety of wines, although I didn't look much at the selection this stop. With a few beers and wines on tap to taste while perusing, Bier Markt has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The street corn reminds me of vacations in Rocky Point Mexico and the tacos are full of flavor and almost too big to call street tacos. The margaritas are now my go to drink while there. We stopped in to check out the place after we went to Cabana's. We were drinking wine so did a small tasting as we like dry and they only had a couple of those available at the time. Staff was very friendly and had moderate knowledge of wine. We did have a good decision about beer though. Place was quaint. People popped in and out have a drink and get growlers to go. So let me give you the positive, good local beer selection, great prices for flights. Here is the important thing they only sell 1/2 growlers or full growler. They have a pint night check website. The have a great selection or wine. I am not a wine fan so I will not comment . Now the bad, kid behind the bar was young and horrible. Not sure he knew anything about beer. Not really sure he wanted to be there. While I was there he messed up four people's orders and charged them and ended up giving away beer away for free because he did not tell people what the policy in buying beer. To be honest it ticked a few people off. I brought back the flight went to the little sitting area kind of like a coffee shop .I did not ask for it but he kept a tab open for me? Not sure what was going on there. I wish someone was working the floor helping me or pointing me to beers that would like. Needs a little work on service. This is the old Rohr Tavern on US 50. I'm pretty sure the it's the same people that own it. Anyway, tonight was the first time I'd been here since it changed over. Seems like just another place trying to cash in on the whole "craft beer craze". The selection was ok and had some good tasting beers, although I'm not much of a craft beer drinker. You can pick 5 different kinds of beers in 5 oz. Glasses for $9 or get a couple different sized glasses if you already know what you like. Apparently they just started serving a very limited food menu. I had the haddock fish sandwich and my wife had a half sized chicken salad. The wait for the food was quite long, pretty sure there was only one person cooking. The fish was good and the basket of fries was huge but I think the cook dropped the salt shaker in my basket, they were way too salty. Maybe a ploy to get me to drink more beer? My wife's salad was a joke. It arrived in the smallest "to go" plastic container they could find. Seriously, my fish sandwich came with more lettuce than her salad, and the salad cost $5.25. We like to try different places, especially small businesses, but I don't see us making g a return trip to Bier Markt anytime soon. read more

Back for the 3rd time. Love the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly. Patio out back is a definite plus. Oh yea, we came for the beers & wine. So many outstanding selections on tap, need to keep going back to try more. Best part is you can get a take home package of 6 different beers if u want. Love that u can bring your own pizza and I plan to schedule my next girls night out in their party room so I don't have to worry about coming home from work and cleaning the house. read more
