Really bummed to leave this review. I feel like Party Source is just out to make as much as they can off of allocated bourbon. I bought a Citybeat/Partysource gift box with an allocated bourbon purchase option attached. None of the items that were promised in the box were actually there. No local beer, no restaurant gift card, no branded bourbon glasses, and the "other surprises" consisted of a single $1 coupon off a brand of bacon I have never heard of. What a shame for a place I used to love. read more

We stopped in late last night - around 9 p.m. - after dinner nearby. My husband's friend is in from NYC and they were wanting a bottle of liquor to continue their birthday celebrations. The NYC friend was amazed about the size of this place - as there is nothing like this in NYC. They got a couple of samples to make sure that the whiskey being suggested by the staff member was a suitable substitute for what they were looking for but not carried at Party Source. That staff member was very helpful in helping them find that whiskey and my husband's friend bought 4 bottles. They also found a lot of beer and I grabbed a few bottles of bitters for cocktail making. Most anything you need for drinking/cocktails can be found at this store. read more

It's been 14 years since my last review. I liked it then and love it even more now! Actually the last time I shopped here was with my Mr. 7 years ago. We did a tour at the New Riff Distillery and shopped at the Party Source afterwards. I'm not kidding when I say this is supersize grocery store for liquor. Anything you need, they have. Party decor, food (chips, salsa cheese, crackers, snacks, mixes, etc), beer, wine, hard liquor, cigars, lotto section, and now they just opened Pompilios (Italian dine in- indoor and outdoor seating). I feel like a kid in a candy store. If you need help, there is always an associate ready for recommendations. Everthing is categorized, very clean and easy to find. I am especially impressed with their wine. It has grown a bigger selection. My Mr and I were there for the tequila and was able to get an aged Anejo for a good price with some other goodies as well. Why have I not reviewed this greater Cincinnati staple yet? If you love tasty libations, good cigars, or just love to throw parties, THIS is your festival for preparation. I actually worked here for ten years when I was younger and it has evolved GREATLY since then. The overall libation selection is much bigger than it was before especially after their expansion years ago. Looking for a good bottle of anything? You'll definitely find it here. Plus their staff are knowledgeable and can make great recommendations. Need a keg of good brew? They got you covered and they rent taps too. There's also a Mama Pompilio's Kitchen inside. The Party Source has so much to offer that it's almost overwhelming. No wonder it's been around for so long. read more

If you're on a quest for some great bourbon, rye and whiskies from Kentucky this is your spot. Amazing service, the experience reminded me of Total Wine in Delaware/NJ. My friend and I hooked up with their whiskey whiz and he made perfect recommendations. I had a wish list of some bourbons I was hoping to find and he patiently went over each one. Nodded at most and suggested alternatives/additions for a few. 15 Stars, Redwood Empire (some hard to find releases), Old Maysville just to name a few. I can't say enough about the knowledge laid out by the staff member. His name and picture were on many of the shelf talker labels in the aisles. He had a few bottles even available for a tasting. If you're looking for Sazerac products (Stagg, Col Taylor, Blanton's, higher end Weller, etc.) good luck, they are allocated just as rarely as everyone else, but you will find variants of the Benchmark Brand which are a Sazerac product. They are well priced and taken from similar areas of the rickhouse as some of those hard to find bourbons. Clean and nicely lit store, welcoming entrance, clean parking lot and located right next to New Riff Distillery. We didn't have time to explore their entire selection, but I'm pretty sure you'll find what you're looking for! Thanks guys!! read more

I have been here a few times when I am downtown or in Kentucky. This place truly has everything that you could ever need. Whatever drinks you want it's there, decor and other things for any kind of party or celebration too. I like the variety that they have, and they usually offer some fun and unique stuff that I would never think of getting. It's also just fun walking around and seeing all that they have cause this place is huge!! The service is always friendly and kind, and they are always on hand to help find whatever you are looking for, especially because it can be tricky cause it is so big inside. (UPDATE at the bottom) Party Source is not what they used to be. When in the area to visit family, Party Source was one of our required visits. This year, we bought two bottles of Amarone, discounted for $39 each. We took the bottles from the walk in cooler expecting them to be properly preserved. Unfortunately, both were spoiled and extremely sour. The corks were broken and it seems something must have gone wrong in the storage and transport of this wine. We were extremely disappointed as we know this wine and had it on a trip to northern Italy. Party Source offered us a store credit of we bring the bottles back but since we don't live in the area, we are not able to bring the bottles back. Watch out for this wine if you are shopping for something special. Update: A big thank you to Micah for his quick and thorough response. We are changing to 5 stars for the 5 star customer service. I don't drink much but wanted to stop by and check out this spot as I was told this place has everything and is a huge liquor store. It sure is huge and has very wide selections of everything containing alcohol. I recently have been to Barcelona and the local beer in Barcelona "Estrella" was good so wanted to check if they had it. They did! It was nice to see the same beer that I had in Barcelona! Many times a visitor and I was in the area so I did a stop. They are celebrating their 30th anniversary and there is construction going on inside; new flooring I'm told. We cane for bourbon and the selections are massive. Exotic Bourbon hunters may be disappointed but thats the only person that will. Come by when you are passing thru. read more

There is one thing that is always true... If we are driving through Cincinnati, we are stopping at The Party Source. Great selection of bourbon and whiskey is obvious, but being able to snag beer, snacks and other items makes this a perfect one-stop-shop. We've luckily been able to grab some rare bottles here over the years and while I always hope for a slightly larger tequila selection, they do carry several options I can't get in PA. read more

I just love that the largest independently owned liquor store in the country is right here in NKY. I can't believe it's taken me this long to review Party Source, but I'm here now, and that's what matters. This was one of the first places I was told to visit after moving to Cincy in 2020. In the words of the friend that recommended I stop by ... "It's like a candy store for adults." If you're looking for pretty much any kind of alcohol, they have it at Party Source. From domestic beers and local craft brews, to wine from just about every country you can imagine ... it's all here. Not to mention, they carry kegs, which really makes it a party. I will say, if you've never been here before, don't try to just bop in and out. You're going to want to spend some time browsing, because you don't know what they have until you're here. All of the employees I've encountered on my multiple visits have been friendly and helpful - and I've even had some semi-bizarre requests. They also carry actual party supplies ... plates, cups, decorations ... not to mention, nearly any snack you could want for a proper shindig. The only thing they don't have that I have been desperately searching for since I moved here from Texas, is Karbach's "Love Street." Maybe that's too niche of a brew for the Midwest, but if anyone from Party Source is reading this, pretty please, could you order me a case? Holy cow this place is huge! I'm from Columbus and honestly don't know of a place that even comes close to comparing in Central Ohio. A friend and I showed up on a Saturday afternoon to grab a couple bottles of wine for a paint and sip experience with a few friends. I was a little confused at first when I couldn't find all the cabernets in one spot. After realizing all the wine is separated by region, I got busy googling where my favorites are from so I could track them down. This would take me a minute to get used to, but I appreciate the effort towards keeping the place organized! I eventually found what I was looking for in the wine section and headed to check out the whiskey. While they didn't have the specific one I was looking for, they did have an extensive collection. If I lived nearby I would definitely be visiting often to explore and find new things. All the staff had masks and everyone was trying to social distance as best as they could. Okay, this place is really neat. I am from Pittsburgh, so there is nowhere in PA where I can grab every party supply needed (including alcohol). We checked out The Party Source yesterday morning. It is the largest alcohol store in the country and it is employee owned. There is ALOT to look at, so make sure you carve out a good chunk of time so you can really browse and look around. The Party Shoppe has party supplies, alcohol of course (wine, beer, liquor, mixers, etc), snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and cigars! In addition, they seem to have wine tastings. It's just a really fun experience to walk around and check everything out here. We ended up purchasing a few things that we can't get at home. The staff were all very helpful. I would suggest going earlier in day. We got there around 10 and when we left, the parking lot was definitely a lot busier! If you're in the Cincy/Kentucky area, you should definitely check this place out! Ps- the airplane bottle section is incredible. So coming here I really didn't expect to be overwhelmed but like wow this is the party store of all party stores as what more could you ask for other than a bunch of booze because that's pretty much what they have here a ton of alcohol and some party decorations but more booze than anything! I've been to numerous party stores over the years but none are as cool as this one as it's got just about everything you could want to drink it's like insane how much they carry here but that's what's good because they have a tasting room in the back now that's a first for me as why take the party home when you could easily have it in the store as everything you need is right here! They also have 19 Crimes, "The Walking Dead" wine bottles that are "talking wine bottles," through the "Living Wines"' app on the phone. To see the guy and the zombie pop out of two separate wine bottles and start fighting in the app is neat, along with talking warden and criminals from the 19 crimes bottles are neat to see here too. The Party Source is a spirits wonderland. I've always loved exploring it and usually come away with items I hadn't intended on buying when I entered. But I'm writing this review mostly for what it did without me having to enter the store today. Today is my stepdad's birthday. He lives in Taylor Mill. I live in Louisville, and I wanted to have something delivered as an extra special surprise. Enter: the Party Source app. I had looked at the other popular alcohol delivery apps, but they didn't have Chimay Blue (his favorite beer) to deliver. Party Source did. I was able to easily download and put my order together. I had to list a phone number for the order, so I put my mom's, along with their address. She was tickled when she got a call out of the blue telling her that they received an order and wanted to confirm they would be home. (OK, she wasn't completely in the dark -- I made sure as well that they would be home. But still, she and my stepdad were excited.) And about an hour later, the beer plus a bottle of wine for my mom were delivered. The minimum order on the app is $35, and the delivery fee is $5. Everything you could ever need for a party, and heavy on the alcohol! The party source had from my understanding an endless supply of tastings pre-covid times. I stopped in a few months ago and they were still doing socially distanced tastings but not as many as before. They have an outstanding selection of liquor, beer, and wine so we loaded up with quite a few bottles. They also had a surprisingly good snack selection for both pantry items and refrigerated food such as cheese and snack meats. I loved coming here and though I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to stop I would come by again if I were in the area. read more
