The Liquor Lover's Wonderland - Party Source, Bellevue, KY…read moreBy Brian You ever walk into a place and think, "Well, I probably don't need a cart..." -- and then five minutes later you're pushing around what looks like a mobile bar? That was me at Party Source in Bellevue, Kentucky--a short hop from Cincinnati and definitely worth the ride. Let me set the scene: Imagine if Walmart and your favorite liquor store had a baby, and that baby grew up to be a well-organized, fully stocked party animal. That's Party Source. If it pours, pops, or parties--they've got it. If you can't find it here, it probably doesn't exist... or it's banned in three states . Mini Bottles, Maximum Curiosity One of my favorite features? The mini bottle section. A whole wall of airplane‑sized bottles so you can test-drive a new liquor without committing to the full bottle (or the full price tag). It's like a liquor buffet--without the hangover. Want to know what jalapeño peanut butter whiskey tastes like? Grab a tiny bottle and find out... preferably not before work. Aisles of Joy and Wonder I strolled through the bourbon aisle like a kid in a candy store with a $20 allowance and zero adult supervision. Then over to the gin and vodka aisles, where my eyes glazed over from the sheer variety. Lavender gin? Pineapple vodka? Was that bottle shaped like a grenade? Yes. Yes, it was. The wine section is equally impressive--ranging from casual sippers to "special celebration" bottles. And the beer zone deserves its own zip code; they carry everything from well-known staples to wild, small-batch brews that taste like a fruit salad with a buzz. On this trip we grabbed: * Jim Beam Pineapple - because why not give summer a Kentucky kick? * Santo's Tequila - smooth, sassy, perfect for margarita missions. * From one of my favorite fruit-forward breweries, Austin Eastciders: Blackberry, Pineapple, and Blood Orange ciders. Refreshing, crisp, and exactly what you want on a hot summer day. More Than Just Booze (Barely) Beyond the bottles, Party Source is a true one-stop party shop. Paper plates with flamingos? Tablecloths in 17 colors? Tiki torches, confetti cannons, and maybe even an Elvis piñata? Probably--but I didn't check. If you're throwing an adult gathering, Party Source has your bar cart and beyond covered. Where to Find It You can visit in person at: The Party Source 95 Riviera Drive, Bellevue, KY 41073 Or check out their full stock of spirits, wines, beer, and party goods on their website: thepartysource.com () Final Thoughts: Stocked Up & Smiling So next time you're on the hunt for something unique in the liquor world--or just need a one-stop solution for your next party--make the trip to Party Source in Bellevue. Your taste buds will thank you, your wallet may whimper a bit, but your gathering? Absolutely epic. Until next time, I'm Brian... reminding you to stock up, sip responsibly, and most importantly-- Take the Trip. Your Next Adventure (and your next drink) is waiting.

Apparently she thought I was done with my order. If she said something, it was under her breath and I didn't hear it. I had other items to purchase. I wait until everyone else is taken care of, about 10 to 15 minutes. Then asked if I can be helped by the same person that waited on me the first time. I told her that she was working in my order and then was told she was finished. Unfortunately I said a curse word when I said it would have been nice to have been told that. A Karen came over and without trying to see what the issue was immediately told me that if I'm going to curse, "you can get out of my store and we won't sell you anything else". Paid for my other order and was given attitude the entire time. She had this smart ass attitude and grin. I then told her I wouldn't be back and she said "good I have plenty of other customers". I was offered no help with my over $300 order to get it in my car, as has always been the case at this location. So I graded my items one at a time and left with a purposeful curse this time. "Adios MFers" ...followed by Karen again telling me to never shop there again, like she did something there. Not to worry. I followed DEP to this location and had been a regular customer for years. Never again. Should I have cursed ? Absolutely not. Should I have been confronted that way without any concern for the underlying issue? Also absolutely not. Karen needs to find a job not in a liquor store, maybe a day care so she does hear any curse words. Go somewhere else, Northern KY is full of great stores.

I would recommend any other liquor store in the area before I recommended here. I was just there…read moretonight (5/31/24 - 6/1/24). This place left me feeling uncomfortable and I wasn't even the one patronizing the store. (Another party was and I happened to be the driver) I'm sharing a photo with an x marking the spot in where I parked. I'm an Uber driver, 27, and drove a grown woman to this shop. I picked her up at her home & her plan was to grab a drink and head back home since other stores were already closed near her in Ohio. We pulled in at 1:45 am. I parked in the corner away from the other cars so she could get in and out easier because parking is tight. She went in. I could hear some man yelling something when we pulled in but I didn't really pay attention to him. He's posted up by the door on a barstool drinking something out of a plastic cup. He starts staggering towards my car yelling something, my windows are up and I'm minding my business on my phone. I figured he was peddling something, I didn't want to get into a conversation. He gives up trying to get my attention and stumbled back to his barstool. apparently he's "security" or the lot attendant but I didn't know, nor was I trying to figure out who's around at this hour. Well, my rider came back to my car and walked up to my window and said can you move up to the front of the lot, he was trying to get your attention to move your car and they won't sell me anything until you do. Excuse me, what?! You won't sell anything to the woman because I'm parked where you don't want me to be? That doesn't make any sense. So I move up so she can go back inside and make her purchase. She was held up just for that... I don't know if it's a late night practice or what but it definitely showed how their business is ran and I will not shop there. I don't know why it matters. I could finally understand him being parked near him. I Just sat and watched him. He was slumped over on his stool, probably drunk, yelling at other drivers to park to the left of the door if they wanted service at the liquor store. Be weary of going here, especially at night.

One of my qualms with them is their craft beer selection isn't spectacular by any stretch of the imagination. If your looking for anything out of the ordinary don't expect to find it here. The wine selection is fine. Again, it is mostly your basics plus a few surprises here and there. Liquor selection, well you know where I am going with this. Your basics plus a few random ones. I am not saying that this is a bad thing. In fact, if you are looking for a specific, well-known bottle of something you will find it here. Just don't expect to find niche items. The prices are fair and they sometimes offer blowout prices when they are trying to get rid of stuff. I've gotten $20 bottles of wine for $7.99 before so be on the lookout for those deals. The reason that I continually go here is the location. It is right off of the highway and located in a completely different building than the Kroger Marketplace. This means no crowd, no traffic, and no aggravation when you just want to run in and pick something up. I like this which is why I will keep coming back. The employees are always helpful. They know a lot about what they have in stock. If you ask for something they usually know exactly where you can find it which is nice. Overall, not terribly great selection-wise but their location, prices and friendly staff are more than worthy of three stars from me.
