The only place I've ever found that comes close are the largest of Chicago's Binny's, and even then, Party Source was bigger. It's huge. It's (literally) right over the Cincinnati/Kentucky river and is legally Kentucky, so it has a wider selection than Ohio's controlled liquor laws, BUT the price can occasionally be higher here as well. They're employee-owned, though, so if it comes between buying something at Wal-mart or here....I know what I'm doing. They have a wide selection (though they don't always have everything we're looking for), and there are very rarely any stock holes. I can always check online to see if they have something - though the prices in-store are usually lower than the prices they list online. Whether they have an item (or not) has always matched up with their online listings, though. Their big claim to fame are their events. Their "free tastings!" events were some of the largest I've ever been to. They also have a small section full of party supplies (tableclothes, etc.). I'd guess they must sell enough of it, or they'd have swapped it out to more alcohol selections instead. They have a gigantic wine selection. Their beer selection is solid and even has a full aisle of single cans for tasting things. They tend to get huge seasonal offerings, too, if you're someone who likes limited releases. They have a few entire aisles of THC beverages and a whole rotunda of mini bottles. Their liquor selection is good (though I'd say the liquor-to-liquor selection comparison is on-par with some of the larger Binny's). An impressive selection of cocktail supplies, too, like bitters. This is, by far, my favorite place to shop during the holidays for all of those bottle gift sets. They carry a HUGE selection.

Every time I've been there I have been treated well by staff, until today…read more I was on the middle of a transaction, or so I thought when the person waiting on me left to take care of others without a word. Apparently she thought I was done with my order. If she said something, it was under her breath and I didn't hear it. I had other items to purchase. I wait until everyone else is taken care of, about 10 to 15 minutes. Then asked if I can be helped by the same person that waited on me the first time. I told her that she was working in my order and then was told she was finished. Unfortunately I said a curse word when I said it would have been nice to have been told that. A Karen came over and without trying to see what the issue was immediately told me that if I'm going to curse, "you can get out of my store and we won't sell you anything else". Paid for my other order and was given attitude the entire time. She had this smart ass attitude and grin. I then told her I wouldn't be back and she said "good I have plenty of other customers". I was offered no help with my over $300 order to get it in my car, as has always been the case at this location. So I graded my items one at a time and left with a purposeful curse this time. "Adios MFers" ...followed by Karen again telling me to never shop there again, like she did something there. Not to worry. I followed DEP to this location and had been a regular customer for years. Never again. Should I have cursed ? Absolutely not. Should I have been confronted that way without any concern for the underlying issue? Also absolutely not. Karen needs to find a job not in a liquor store, maybe a day care so she does hear any curse words. Go somewhere else, Northern KY is full of great stores.

Everything is laid out by type: Whiskey, Bourbon, Tequila, Vodka, Domestics, Craft, Red Wine, Sparkling. I love that everything is right there in that section and there is no hunting anything down or cross pollination in there. A++ for the discount 2 for $10 section of wine! Yes, meaning each bottle is $5. These rotate in and out and I just had to know how they sell these for so cheap because I have seen some of these brands at other stores for full price. I asked and they simply said, the seller wants to get rid of it, sell through it for a new season etc. If that's the case not sure why this doesn't happen everywhere - but I LOVE it. Especially for parties it's nice to grab a huge variety of affordable wine for everyone. Another thing, I drink champagne, cava, sparkling most of the time and a brand I love and usually bring to parties is around $12.99. I have never seen this brand fluctuate a CENT anywhere else. I came here the other day and it was $8.73 or something odd. WHAT!!! Huge win for me. I picked her up at her home & her plan was to grab a drink and head back home since other stores were already closed near her in Ohio. We pulled in at 1:45 am. I parked in the corner away from the other cars so she could get in and out easier because parking is tight. She went in. I could hear some man yelling something when we pulled in but I didn't really pay attention to him. He's posted up by the door on a barstool drinking something out of a plastic cup. He starts staggering towards my car yelling something, my windows are up and I'm minding my business on my phone. I figured he was peddling something, I didn't want to get into a conversation. He gives up trying to get my attention and stumbled back to his barstool. apparently he's "security" or the lot attendant but I didn't know, nor was I trying to figure out who's around at this hour. Well, my rider came back to my car and walked up to my window and said can you move up to the front of the lot, he was trying to get your attention to move your car and they won't sell me anything until you do. Excuse me, what?! You won't sell anything to the woman because I'm parked where you don't want me to be? That doesn't make any sense. So I move up so she can go back inside and make her purchase. She was held up just for that... I don't know if it's a late night practice or what but it definitely showed how their business is ran and I will not shop there. I don't know why it matters. I could finally understand him being parked near him. I Just sat and watched him. He was slumped over on his stool, probably drunk, yelling at other drivers to park to the left of the door if they wanted service at the liquor store. Be weary of going here, especially at night.

I am not saying that this is a bad thing. In fact, if you are looking for a specific, well-known bottle of something you will find it here. Just don't expect to find niche items. The prices are fair and they sometimes offer blowout prices when they are trying to get rid of stuff. I've gotten $20 bottles of wine for $7.99 before so be on the lookout for those deals. The reason that I continually go here is the location. It is right off of the highway and located in a completely different building than the Kroger Marketplace. This means no crowd, no traffic, and no aggravation when you just want to run in and pick something up. I like this which is why I will keep coming back. The employees are always helpful. They know a lot about what they have in stock. If you ask for something they usually know exactly where you can find it which is nice. Overall, not terribly great selection-wise but their location, prices and friendly staff are more than worthy of three stars from me.
