My friends and I actually call Antone's "Coldest Beer Ever" instead of Antone's. It's a great spot to pick up a 6 pack or 3 quickly, especially in the summertime when you're getting ready to watch a baseball game or have a grillout. The bonus is that they often have hard to find bourbon when it is not available in other stores. Their prices are higher for limited selection bourbon and they are honest about that. It's a small store and this is what they need to do to make it in a tough market. Just try to find Eagle Rare or even Weller at other places then you'll realize what Antone's can provide. This has become a store I visit when I need a special selection.

Drive thru their convenient location on the split where Reading road becomes 2 one way streets in Sharonville. They've got an extensive selection of beer, wine, liquor, sodas, munchies; your normal gas station type fair. I didn't see much in the way of a kitchen for food, and they sell select cigarettes. So if you're on the way to party, or just need a pop during lunch, this is a quick and easy way to buzz through. Cincinnati seriously has a lack of drive-thru's but this is a good start.

At the very least you should stop in for a tasting if you're in the area. Our server was friendly, talkative and well versed in their product. He told me they distill in-house and most of their barrel aging takes place in a nearby family barn. (Could be wrong about this, but it sounds about right). Our tasting was of five different spirits for around $12. I sampled bottle pours of their Limited Release Braille Bourbon, Bourbon, Single Barrel Bourbon, 3 month old Oak Barrel aged Gin and a two year Añejo Tequila straight from a barrel in the back. He also poured a splash of their Vodka and included a taste of their American Agave Tequila. I thought the winner taste wise was the Añejo Tequila. I'm not much of a Tequila person, but I thought the flavors were outstanding. Their bourbons were smooth, simple (don't quote me but I think he said aged seven years) and around $65 a bottle. The gin was light and smooth. I would say most of what I tried would be good for cocktails, but they weren't bad at all served neat. We were the only ones in there for awhile on a Friday afternoon, but once work let out some thirsty folks came in. Check these guys out and support them if you can.
