Can't believe I've been coming here since my first day in Seattle which was like four years ago and I still haven't posted a review! Shame on me lol! If you wanna get your eyebrows/waxing done this is the place I recommend. I come here every week - let's say I'm blessed in that department. They have a wonderful three months unlimited sessions package which makes it super affordable to get my eyebrows, upper lip and chin done all the time. They also have another package which is 6 sessions anytime within three months. My husband prefers that one. I've been the the university, cap hill and Ballard location. The owner Suzann is super nice as well. Continue the good work! read more

I always go to shanti for eyebrow threading; all the girls who work at the Uvillage location are skilled - I don't like my eyebrows too thin and they do a good job at keeping it natural looking! I'm a regular read more

So I'll start off by saying that I'm from DC, where $10 is standard, so I'm not too excited about the price. I guess that may just be a factor of the location I'll have to get used to. I rate eyebrow salons based on their attentiveness, efficiency and price. Basically the more you listen to what I ask for (and don't hack off my whole brow), the more likely I am to forgive you for being slow and/or pricey. I stumbled across this salon while I was running errands in the area, and quickly checked Yelp before heading on in. I had to wait for a few minutes but all in all I was out after 10 minutes or so. Before doing anything, she asked me what I wanted and I explained that I just wanted my brows cleaned up and not to change the shape. She did just that. Awesome. I also liked the extra little eyebrow-area massage they did afterwards -- it was a nice touch. Then she asked me "Just eyebrows, no upper lip?" *blank stare* "Um...no thanks." I've been to enough salons that I've decided to write this off as upselling rather than be offended. I'm comfortable with my lip. I also used the $10 for $15 Yelp deal, which was really straightforward, she just clicked the "redeemed"button & took my information. Overall I'd definitely come back, but because of the price, I'm still on the hunt for a regular spot. read more

Funnily enough, the lady that does my sugaring actually recommended Shanti over where she worked to get eyebrows done. It was way cheaper than the sugaring place, and I was very happy with the end result! I get an allergic reaction to waxing, so threading was a great alternative. I'll definitely be back! read more

This is the place I find a lot of my friends and I go to. It's one of the few places to go if you live around UW. Fast, easy, and gets the job done right. Unfortunately, the prices seem to go up every time I visit, but I do like the package where you get 3 months of unlimited service. read more

This was my threading place for 6 months. The customer service was not pleasing from the beginning (you'll always feel rushed even if nobody's waiting and you're the only customer), but I kept going there because the lady who used to do the thread had been doing a decent job, and was polite and nice. Today I went there again. The person doing threading had been changed and the new one was really rude. The only thing she cared about was if I HAD A MEMBERSHIP OR NOT. I think she asked me 5 or 6 times and I told her I know the deal but not interested. In the end she acted like it's my loss. Couldn't make a customer more uncomfortable! I came home with multiple sores on my face (above lips and on my chin), and eyebrows which I had to clean and trim again myself!!! The price here is high, and customers expect more... I definitely not going back. Never again. This is my face after 3 days! Never experienced such threading before... read more

Shanti Threading Salon - Makeup Artists Near Me - Seattle, Washington

This place was 100% GREAT! The staff was professional, quick, & above all my eyebrows look amazing. This is the first time I've had my eyebrows threaded because I had a bad experience before in a salon with some waxing my eyebrows so was turned off to the idea of anyone but me styling my browns. I did my research & found a lot of reviews (mostly good) and decided to go to this location. The lady that did them was very nice (Didn't catch her name) and am going to be going back because of the results, Im more than impressed. If you want a good location to get your eyebrows done I recommend this location because of the results & wonderful staff! :] read more

They did an amazing job! Quick and quality work. Kept the thickness of my brows and my natural shape. Use the Yelp deal! The membership is not worth it unless you get your brows done very often because it will run out in 3-6 months depending on the package you buy. They're really pushy about the memberships... That is the only downfall about their customer service. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place for someone who is trying threading for their first time or looking for quality near UW! read more

Went ti the Ballard location to do my eyebrows and I've become a regular ever since. They take walk ins, you'll get your turn pretty quick and they're very precise regardless of how grown out your brows are! read more

Was in need of a good eye brow threading I have been walking by this place for a long time and finally decided to go in and I will definitely be back. They got me right in and my eyebrows look great. So happy with the service. Would highly recommend. Thank you read more

For some reason, YELP had decided to remove my review. Perhaps, it was too convenient for them to keep something honest on the web. Here is second time around: Susanna has been taking care of my wife's beauty needs for the past year. I am glad she finally opened up her place. My wife and I are really happy with her professionalism and her attention to detail. I certainly recommend her to any ladies out there!!! (One thing I should add is that try to find parking at the bank parking across the street. Not recommended and I am not responsible if you get a ticket!) read more

Always quick in and out. Great customer service. If you are someone who get threading regularly. I recommend getting the package deal. It breaks down to 10 per threading which is cheaper than the 15 one time deal. read more

My experience wasn't exactly the same as Peyro L.'s below - I bought the Yelp deal, went in and got threaded, asked about the membership, and bought it... but they used the day's services as a punch on my six-session card. The eyebrow/lip/chin package was $110, they took $10 off from the Yelp deal (which was advertised as "pay $10 for $15 in services" but doesn't apply to packages), so I paid $10 online and $100 in the salon. Not including tip, $110 for six sessions comes out to $18.33/session. This is slightly more than what I pay in NYC, and it's slightly annoying to have to be tied via a membership package to achieve similar pricing, but I have to say - GREAT threading. Really thorough and gentle (relatively - it is threading, after all!). And they do offer discounts for waxing and facials to members who buy packages - it's nice that they can offer this as a reward to regular customers. I am indeed a fan of this place! read more

If you're looking for a place to get you eyebrows done. I would highly recommend this salon! The ladies that work here are always so kind and go above and beyond with their threading skills. I know I can trust them because I have never had a bad experience with my brows while coming to this salon. They also give a nice head massage towards the end! read more

I am completely new to eyebrow threading. I have very sensitive skin. I have had some pretty bad experiences with waxing in the past that have left me with at least one nasty rash and a burn. So I have been only tweezing for many years. And admittedly, I am prone to being a bit lazy about it. But, I can't deny that nicely, naturally groomed brows is one of the best ways to frame one's face, to accentuate one's eyes, and to generally appear more polished. I find that if I do nothing but polish up my eyebrows and throw on a bit of lip gloss, I still feel pretty good walking out the door. All that said, I had heard from a girlfriend about eyebrow threading and thought I might give it a try. I checked out some of the other places on Yelp. Shanti had good reviews, and happens to be close to where I live, so I decided to call and see if they could work me in. The owner (whose name I have forgotten unfortunately -- I am so sorry!) answered and said I could come right in. The shop is very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was polite and accommodating. I explained what I wanted, and what's tricky about my eyebrows since they are fairly thin to begin with. I was definitely fearful that I might leave with just tiny strips of eyebrows left. But my technician listened to me and offered some suggestions. Then she began. I was thrilled with the results! She was thorough and quick and very professional. When she finished threading, she sponged my face with pure rose water. Very soothing! Before I knew it, she was finished and I had very well groomed, beautifully arched eyebrows. And I even smelled better! I couldn't have been happier with the results. The owner then asked me if I knew about brow tinting. I said I did not. She offered me a deep discount if I wanted to try it out. I asked some questions about it, particularly about wanting natural looking results, and then decided to try it for myself. Once again, I was thrilled with the results. My brows look natural, a good match with my hair color, beautifully groomed, and now just a bit fuller -- which is exactly what I was looking for to begin with! The prices for their services are very very reasonable, especially compared to some of the other threading salons I checked out online. They also have some package deals which I may look into for the future. The service was exemplary. The facilities are clean and nicely appointed. I can strongly recommend Shanti without any hesitation. Thank you so much for a great experience! I will definitely be back! read more

The girls are very helpful and they do a great job cleaning up & finishing my look. Thank you Shanti

Shanti Threading Salon is the first place I tried when first moving to Seattle & it has continued to be my favorite place to get my eyebrows threaded! The ladies that work here are wonderful & very detailed with the way they do their work! They always make sure you are satisfied & I truly do recommend this place to anyone! read more

I scheduled my first appointment at Shanti yesterday for today. The location is easy to find off of I5 and there is parking all along University Way. The staff was so friendly and we talked the entire time. I had come in for Henna and I sent the owner a picture of the design I wanted ahead of time. She qouted me via text and confirmed she could re create my design off Google. She has the best prices as well and she did an awesome job. I will definitely return and have already shared her info with friends. Definitely go here! read more

Shanti is THE best place to get your eyebrows done. Hands down. Usually every time I go, I have my eyebrows done by the same woman and she's amazing! I don't even have to say how I want them as she already knows what looks best on me by now. (I've been going here for almost a year) Although it can be somewhat painful (feels like little pinches), it is far better and more precise than waxing and Shanti does it best. I hiiiighly recommend for those who are considering the switch. read more

Last winter, with tons of stress due to busy schedule & skin dryness, I looked totally worn out! Since I was planning on a vacation with my hubby, looking like a walnut was not an option for me. I, like many other women, am cautious about my skin & I don't like experimenting with it. After some research, I decided to go to Shanti Threading Salon for a much needed Facial & my experience has been the best ever!!! Suzana's miracle worked on me & I looked like I just got back from a relaxed beautiful vacation :) Suzana is highly skilled & her facial techniques are just amazing!! If you are someone who believes that facial requires massage from skilled fingers than that of a machine or hard chemicals, than this is the place to go!! I've been their regular customer & I intend to continue being one till I enjoy the compliment from my friends ;) read more

I normally get mine threaded at the north gate mall, but it's closing and I was looking for something closer to my apartment. I'm always nervous going to a new place for my eyebrows, however I walked in and both the girls working had great brows so I knew I'd be fine. It's pretty cheap as far as threading or waxing services go. It's pretty fast as well. I walked in and was 6th in line. I only waited for 10-15 minutes. Not a whole lot of talking, and they don't trim the longer hairs for you, rather they give you a mirror and scissors if you'd like to do it yourself. I was happy with my brows and for such a cheap price I will definitely be coming back! read more

While the services for threading is fine, waxing is another story. Lady burned me and didn't even know that you have to pull away from the direction opposite hair growth. Go to another waxing place...this place does not train their employees well. read more

I have been here for couple times. The staff is ver nice and kind. Will come back for the next appointment.

I always walked past Shanti on the Ave but never got the guts to go in, idk hair removal = cringe. But I felt compelled to get my eyebrows done for the first time ever and found that Shanti's reviews were excellent! My total in and out time at Shanti was about 15 minutes. I walked in without an appointment, and was seated immediately and the lady got down to business. I didn't know my eyebrows could be so shapely!!! I bought the $10 for $15 deal from Yelp and it was a pretty good deal. I didn't go for a membership this time but I'd definitely consider it next time. Would definitely recommend and go back. read more

I found a wax deal online for Shanti so I figured I'd give them a try. I made a reservation for 2 days before a big trip to the Caribbean. I got a call about a week before my trip from them saying I had missed by appointment but could reschedule - an error on their end. So, I called them back to see if the original date was still available, it was! That morning I get a call from them saying that the person who waxes has called in sick so I have to reschedule. A bit frustrated, I let them know that I didn't have much time to reschedule as we were leaving in 2 days. This is why they get a 4-star review: they brought in the wax lady from their other location to the U District location just so I could keep my appointment. Customer service always wins. I told them I appreciated the efforts they went through. Once I arrived for my appointment, I was continuously pleased with their service. They're super friendly and do a great job with their waxing and threading. I also learned that if you become a member for $20, you get 50% off all their services! read more

I used to love this place, I have been a loyal customer for 6 years, but after what happened today, I'm afraid they have lost my business for good. I went in for my usual eyebrow threading, when I arrived there were 2 other people waiting, and 2 who came in after me. A majority of this business is via walk-ins. I have always walked in, and never had an issue with the wait- until today. A woman walked in, and the threader asked if she had just called. She said yes. The threader then proceeded to take her back immediately, leaving all of us patiently waiting, and waiting, and waiting...you get the idea. This woman was having her entire face threaded! Eyebrows, lips, cheeks, chin, and more. Finally, after 20 minutes of her STILL working on this woman who walked in past all of us, I left, along with 2 others. The 3 of us could have all had our eyebrows threaded in less time than it was taking to thread this entitled woman. Shanti lost 3 customers in the 25 minutes that I spent there. I used to love it there, but after this experience I will not be returning. read more

shanti threading salon is the new threading salon in U- District.I was there for the first time to shape my eyebrows and they did the best job ever. so, if you want to shape your eyebrows via thread this is the place you have to be. I recently moved to Seattle from NYC and was looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded. I got a pass that is good for 6 months, 6 visits, for $50 (plus $5 off because I liked their Facebook page). Eyebrows turned out great, I'd recommend to anyone. read more

How nice it is that the best threading place in King County is within the Seattle City Limits? This was the first time in years of threading that I got to discuss exactly how I wanted my eyebrows and the stylist delivered in spades! This is a great place. Clean, efficient, and well-lit. And right above a comic book shop, so you can pick up your book and get your brows done at one fowl swoop. I was moved to get a 3 month unlimited membership, and I am happy to report that my eyebrows are now carefully tended every two weeks for a fixed price. Threading is by far the least painful way to manage your brows, and it's perfect for thick hair like mine. You'll never pluck at home again. (Which is good, you're probably overdoing it!) And 400 extra points for the application of disinfectant and lotion after services, as well as a little smoothing massage--better than Botox! read more

I have recently moved to Seattle and was looking for eyebrow threading and Waxing salon no wonder shanti threading came on top and I decided to try their services. I am completely satisfied with my eyebrows and my body waxing. I like that they have multiple locations around Seattle and they take walk in. The lady here was very professional and my brows were done in less than 7 min. I would highly recommend shanti threading salon for any threading services and waxing services. The Brazilian waxing price here is unbeatable and I love how they care about you and value you as your client. read more

Took advantage of their free threading. It was actually pretty good. Do not expect a high end salon. It's a pretty simple place. I don't about their other services so I can't comment on those. But the threading I got was great! The girl was fast so even if it hurt a little bit, it was tolerable. read more

The math works for me. If Value = Outcome/Cost, the numerator was high (nicely shaped brows and a cleaner result for upper lip than waxing) and the denominator was relatively low (especially with the membership packages + Yelp deal). Let's explore the cost. I'd bought the Yelp deal $10 for $15 with the original intent of doing eyebrow + lip which costs $15 + $10, respectively. I would've paid in reality $20 for that in total by using Yelp deal. Not that cheap. At the recommendation of other Yelpers I asked about the memberships and went for the 6 "eyebrow+lip in 1 year" membership which would normally cost $95 (it also confers 50% off their waxing services). And yes, they only honor $10 off of membership cost instead of $15 off for using the yelp deal BUT THEN THE THREADING SERVICES I CAME IN FOR THAT DAY WERE FREE. That's a $25 value absolutely free! So essentially I paid $95 ($85 in-salon + $10 already from Yelp) for 7 "eyebrow+lip in 1 year" which means I will average ~$13.6/session. I'm used to paying $10 just for brow in LA and thinking that was cheap. So yes, it's not exactly clear in their Yelp Deal terms that you can't apply that $15 toward memberships. But get this, IF they'd straight up honored it and taken $15 off the $95 (WITHOUT the free session) I would be paying in reality $90 ($80 in-salon + $10 already paid for Yelp deal) for 6 sessions which comes out to $15/session. In sum, that $10 yelp deal buys you a free threading session if you buy their membership. That can be better than 5 free dollars. May the math be forever in your favor. Parking is meh (U district: where a quarter gets you 6 minutes) but they're so efficient you shouldn't spend more than 75 cents for street parking if all you're doing is threading. Parking is way easier on Brooklyn Ave rather than University Ave. The aestheticians are professional, fast, and no-frills. Some people find this cold; I found it great-- no upselling, no pushing random skin products, no time wasted. And apparently 3 locations to choose from (Edmonds, Udistrict, and Capitol Hill). read more

Loved loved this experience! I needed to get a quick threading job on my cheeks so I thought I'd try my luck with this place. I had a hard time finding the salon itself. Its located above some other shop/store so you need to take the stairs up to find the salon. The salon is small but definitely clean. The lady there (I believe it was Sujana) was nice and patient. I watched her thread two other ladies before she got to me. She was polite and listened to exactly what I wanted. I've been threaded before and it was incredibly painful, but this didn't hurt at all. Sujana finished by putting some aloe vera on my face -my face wasn't red and puffy at all! THe best part of this experience is the price $$. I got 6 sessions for $40!!! That's less than $7 for me to get threaded. I loved that Sujana was so sweet about discounting the price - the deal they had was for both cheeks and eyebrows but I only wanted the cheeks so she gave me a good price. The membership card is the best thing there is! I highly recommend this place - go go go! Also a plus, I was afraid parking on the Ave was going to be difficult but I found a spot on Brooklyn and it only cost me $1 for about 45 minutes. The only thing that confused me is when I called the place the phone was answered with a simple "Hello" (not "hello this is Shanti Threading Salon") so I thought I had the wrong number. Great experience, great price - wins all around! read more
