I went twice with their 'Combo 3' option which consists of either noodles or rice with 3 selections of your choice (with about 20 options) to go with your meal. Thus far I tried the mango chicken, the bang bang chicken, the grilled chicken and the pepper beef. My ratings go as follows : Grilled Chicken : 5/5 Yummy! They do grilled chicken right with a sweet sauce that make my taste-buds happy after some serious shopping. Will get this every time I come here!! Bang Bang Chicken : 4/5 Tangy and flavorful this chicken is a nice compliment to the sweet grilled chicken sauce. Will choose this often on consequent re-visits. Rice : 4/5 Big portion (probably to give you less main food) but it's fresh and tasty. I'd like to try the noodles next time. Mango Chicken : 3/5 Tastes like... mild mango and chicken? It's OK but I will try something else next time. Pepper Beef : 2/5 I thought the taste was a bit light on the pepper and there was too much "cream". Wouldn't have it again. All in all, solid food court grub. Service is quick and friendly.

Taking some traditional dishes but mixing it up with one or two other types of cuisines. The standouts were: + Cauliflower Bang Bang - crisp and flavorful + Won ton soup - a surprise as the soup was more pho-like but the wonton was more fish ball in texture. I liked the flavor of the soup. + Hong Kong Curry - spicy but fun Service was pretty good. Though I wish if you ordered a tea (since you get an individual tea bag), you would get more hot water as you can potentiall resteep the green tea. The place was a mood and probably a good spot to go for a date or just the night out. It was a bit dark in there but I get it. It was a stylistic choice. I think it's a fun spot with some interesting takes on some classic dishes. Definitely a place to try out.

There are, I am assuming, fake plants at the top of the ceiling with lanterns hanging down. Which is really nice and it really gives the room a calming atmosphere. The food was pretty good, my boyfriend's family and I had the restaurants fried chicken wings, which was super tasty not overcooked or undercooked. We also had some calamari, which was really good as well. And then when our main dish came out which I had the chow fun, it was super tasty and flavorful. Although the service was a little bit slow, in the fact that there were only two waiters as I saw. The rest of the service was pretty decent. Everyone was super nice. would recommend this restaurant if anyone is in the area of Laval.

I would definitely go back again.

A different version that u might expect with the all you can eat format. However they do offer extra free noodles! But the portions are more than generous. One thing I do recommend is their homemade kimchi, which is one of the best ones I've tasted so far in the surrounding area . A must have! This would be on my top 10 yunnan rice spots in montreal. Price point is excellent. I like that it's family owned and the chef makes the broth and noodles in house. They are offering coupons till Jan 31,2024 2$ off Excellent spot for students and family. Lots of space to enjoy a meal with good company. I can't recommend one broth over another since I've tried 4 of them and liked them all. So just point and order ... Oh and if you are not a soup person (who are you !! lol) there are other items on the menu like general Tao, and beef teriyaki..

The Long Version: I love mochi. Like it's one of my favourite desserts. So when I saw that Fondue Haidilao had an UberEats deal for BOGO (buy one get one free) mochi, I had to check it out. Especially since our hotel was just around the corner. My husband does not enjoy hotpot and I'm uncertain how I feel about takeout hotpot anyway, so I just got the mochi, lol. It was $3.95 for 2 orders (since it was BOGO). Each order contains 3 pieces, so I got 6 pieces. They are small but still very reasonable for the price, especially BOGO. I ordered on the app and picked up. Pick-up was quick and smooth. Staff were courteous. The mochi were soft and chewy. They had finely grated coconut on the outside and custard on the inside. The custard was unfortunately not creamy but rather it had a more starchy consistency, a bit different from what I was expecting, but it was still ok. Note that since Haidilao is a Chinese chain, the mochi is Chinese-style not Japanese-style. I would love to try the hotpot at Haidilao one day. Maybe when my mom and I return for another mother-daughter trip to Montreal since the hubster does not like hotpot. Street parking only. Review #69 (2025)
