We've had Shamrock do a seasonal deep clean of our 2 bedroom apartment for nearly 2 years now and every time, it's incredible - and beyond the obvious cleaning of major things, it's the little touches - like wrapping our robes up just like a hotel would, or placing our blanket stylishly on the end of the couch with other items carefully organized to look great. It's part-cleaning, part decorating! We recently became regular monthly clients, getting a cleaning every 3 weeks and while at first I thought "this is too indulgent for a little apartment" the amount of STRESS and TIME it's saved us is so worth the cost - which by the way, is very reasonable for the amount of care we receive. Antonio runs a great ship and his crew is always kind, courteous and our space is left dazzling. I can't speak highly enough of Antonio and his crew. We've had them coming by every 2 weeks for the past 6 months and it we've never been disappointed. Antonio and his team are professional, thorough, quick, and exceptionally polite. They clean all the dishes by hand (only if you ask them not to put them in the dishwasher), clean grease off appliances near the stove, move the furniture to sweep and mop under it, clean the couches, make all the beds, take out all the trash they find, organize everything that looks cluttered, empty out the closets and clean the floors, and even fold the toilet paper after so I feel like I'm living in a hotel. Antonio always texts a confirmation of the cleaning the night before and always responds to text messages quickly. Finally, his team charges by the visit, not by the hour. I used HomeJoy before and they said "I spent all the time you had me booked for, so I'm not going to finish, goodbye." You'll never hear that from Antonio. They also use Square to charge my credit card, which is slick because you can just swipe your card and get an emailed receipt. We've referred Shamrock Cleaning to my a few of our friends and family. They have kept using Shamrock and are always very happy with the service they receive. We plan on using Shamrock for as long as we live somewhere that Antonio will travel to. read more

An hour late and no one spoke English. Not as thorough as listed, cabinets and closets were not cleaned inside and out. Apartment was empty so it should have been easy to clean everything Owner offered to redo the cabinets after I complained but my son had already moved in and I had cleaned them myself I understand that sometimes workers are learning English but at least 1 team member should be able to speak and understand English if the client only speaks English. Late is never ok. Very expensive and services not as described UPDATE After posting my very honest review this is what the owner - Antonio - messaged me. We're all struggling btw and I gave you your very high price but did not get the service I was promised I still paid you and my son generously tipped the workers And my race (which is incorrect) is part of the problem ?????? Antonio and the rest of his team are fantastic. They've been coming by every two weeks since September and have left our apartment squeaky clean ever since. Antonio confirms appointments by text message and even lets you know if something unexpected happens; we've had people stop by for maintenance that we weren't aware of while on vacation and he's sent us a quick message to let us know. He's super friendly and really takes an interest in all of our endeavors. Additionally, we have a young cat, and haven't had any issues; he's an animal enthusiast himself. He charges a flat rate per visit, which is great as other places will charge by the hour. He even left us a christmas card around the holidays which was super sweet. We're planning on continuing to have Antonio clean our apartment, including when we move if it's in an area he'll service (and will be super sad if it isn't!). Antonio is cool, very personable. His crew are very nice and respectful people too. The service is Cost effective. Initial deep cleaning was spotless, we couldn't believe our apartment could be that clean. However, recent appointments have not been that great. Dusty spots, mold affected surfaces on the plain sight aren't cleaned well. I'm not losing hope, will see how it goes in the future appointments. read more

Had been doing business with them for the past few years. Did a good job cleaning. However, I never felt comfortable that two or three people would show up each time, and rarely were they the same people. The last time they came was at the beginning of the pandemic. Since then, I have found that a number of valuable items have gone missing. An antique mantel clock, an antique brass kaleidoscope, a valuable piece of scrimshaw, a valuable lapis lazuli ring, and I don't know what else. Disgusting. I trusted these people and they robbed me. I've been using Shamrock for 2 years, wouldn't go anywhere else. Live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment with all guys, and they always do a great job, cleaning the apartment spotless and do the little things that guys don't think of (i.e. windowsills and wall boards). Will do things like inside of the oven or pulling out the drawers in the fridge and cleaning upon request. Always respectful and have no issues leaving valuable items around...they even unexpectedly cleaned my "water pipe". Very easy and timely working with Antonio in setting up appointments, and willing to give a discount for referrals. Very reasonable prices, I always pay cash when the job is done (not sure if there is a credit card option or not). I seem to get a new crew every time so they must have a lot of workers. Brazilian run operation, they speak Portuguese but at least one of them speaks enough English to communicate as needed during the clean. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

Was the worse cleaning company I have ever had. they didn't clean one thing they went around every thing didnt pick things up and move them to clean just mopped around shoes trash barrel cleaned around medicine on counter snd loaf of bread didn't clean behind toilet the dust and clumps of dirt was left on floor after they mopped it was horrible. Shamrock Cleaning did a wonderfully thorough job. I wanted a deep clean of my empty apartment before I moved in. I got a quote in fewer than 24 hours and when I called Antonio was able to book an appointment just a few days out (super awesome as I waited until the end of August). Antonio arrived with a crew of 3 (4 total) and my apartment was deep cleaned in under 1 hour. The deep cleaning involved cabinets (inside and out), the fridge, the stove, floors were vacuumed and washed, and the bathroom (tub, toilet, sink, and floors) were spotless. They even cleaned around the window sills. Antonio and his team also wiped down the closets, which were a huge worry of mine as two hockey players were living in the apartment prior and had their damp towels and uniforms hanging on the closet doors. His crew also used environmentally friendly cleaning solution were possible! The added benefit was my apartment smelt clean but not overpowering; making it easy to move in on the same day without being annoyed by the smell. I will definitely be using Shamrock Cleaning in the future. Plus, they had the very best price in the Cambridge area. Note: Cleanings last about 1.5 to 2 hours. Do keep the entire window open. Antonio arrived a little late, but still finished well with-in that window. read more

Solid cleaning service - they did a great job cleaning the empty apartment prior to move in on a tight Sept 1 schedule - there was a couple of slight spots in the showers that we would have loved a bit more clean but really only put in our apartment condition statement for our landlord so we wouldn't be blamed on move-out if they were permanent. Apparently the cleaners got the picture and they quickly scheduled time to come back and clean. The two women who showed up were very thorough and professional. It bums me out to be writing this, seeing as how so many people have had great experiences with this company. I, on the other hand, only had frustration from the very beginning. I first contacted Shamrock for a quote after receiving an email coupon for 10% off. I never heard back from them, but received a request to review their services! Seeing as how I had not used their services because I never heard from them, Antonio offered me $20 off. I decided to give it a second chance and booked them. They were over 45 minutes late. I asked and showed them specific things I'd like cleaned (which I had previously discussed and confirmed with Antonio). Things like cleaning the interior of the microwave, the baseboards, dusting the blinds, cleaning the oven and hood... Before they left, I walked around the house to confirm this was complete. Many of these were CLEARLY not done, even though they said they did. Tomato sauce in the microwave? Come on. They recleaned a handful of things (one woman making faces and rolling her eyes at me). They were also not careful with my valuables. I saw one woman stack my expensive crystal wine glasses and walk across the room with them in a tower in order to dust the bar. I tried to stop her and explain how important they are to me but she wouldn't stop (clearly didn't understand). It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Thankfully, she let me put them back... After they left, I walked through again and realized it was NOT clean at all. Dust on the blinds and banister, dirty baseboards, etc...The kitchen counter tops were DIRTIER than they had been before!!! There were dead bugs and debri on the counter, as if they threw their dirty rags on them when they were finished???! I called Antonio and asked them to come back and finish. He rightfully did not charge me for the "cleaning" service. When they returned, 2 of the women were apologetic and sincerely tried to remedy the situation, while 1 stood there and blatantly gave me DIRTY LOOKS. She occasionally bickered with her coworkers (I'm think about not wanting to clean for nothing, but my Spanish isn't great). She would then go back to standing in front of me, doing nothing but giving me dirty looks. On 1 occasion, she dragged a rag around the floor, and then used the DIRTY RAG to wipe the now-clean COUNTERS. Then she went back to the nothing and dirty looks. At that point, I was very uncomfortable. I just wanted them out of my house. I appreciate Antonio's willingness to have them come back and not charge me, but was astonished that I received no follow-up call or apology after all of this! I clearly don't recommend this cleaning service. read more

AVOID!!!! AVOID!! GOOD REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!!Unfortunately, I am left to believe that the 5 star reviews are from either friends or family members of this companies or just fake ones made by the owner. Let me begin by saying that just a few minutes before they were supposed to arrive they notified me they could not come until an hour later than the initial time we had set. Once 15 minutes had passed since the new time they were expected to arrive I reached out to call them and find out where they were. Upon making contact they let me know they were running behind but were on the way. It was at that point that I should have known better when I didn't receive a courtesy call at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to the time they should have arrived. When they arrived they walked right in the house with their shoes on (there was just a snow storm and their feet were soaked.) Once they reach the kitchen I asked them if they had slip covers for their shoes which they did not so then they proceeded to take their shoes off right where they were standing and leave them there for the remainder of the time they spent "cleaning "the house. We have a security system in our home with live cameras that are visible to all that enter our home. As they begin to clean I truthfully was watching them on the cameras as they just wet a rag to clean the oven the microwave and other surfaces in the kitchen with the same wet rag with no cleaning solution applied to it whatsoever at any point in time. They cleaned inside of the microwave and then used that same rag to clean on top of the countertops and they never moved any of the things on the counters to clean under them and then replace them as they should. When confronted about this their response was that they don't do a standard "American clean"and that they only use soap and water. This is some thing that should have been mentioned over the phone before their arrival and also seems quite frankly like a means of saving an exponential amount of money on cleaning supplies. When they were done with the bathroom both sides of the toilet were still dirty and I didn't see any noticeable difference to the tub as the walls had not been scrubbed. When in my bedroom they never replaced the sheets on the bed with clean linens that were easily available for them. They never cleaned any of the windows in the house or the window sills. The owner ended up coming to see the concerns that I was talking about and he stayed for all of five minutes in which he cleaned on top of the refrigerator and dusted one lamp. Disappointingly, his excuse was that it was the end of the day. I'm not a housecleaning expert but I have a pretty good feeling that all clients that call a company regardless of what time of the day they establish for the service to be supplied should receive the same amount of effort and should live up to the same standard. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said that my six-year-old son could clean better with some direction. read more

They were on their way to getting 3.5 stars from me because my first cleaning with them was good. They did knock a picture off the wall and broke the glass, but they alerted me immediately, cleaned up very well, and apologized profusely. I was happy enough to schedule a second cleaning. I was told they would confirm the night before via text, and never received a text. I then sent a text to them the morning of our scheduled appointment, and they said they would be there by 1pm (original appointment was 11am). At 2:30pm they had not called or showed, so I reached out to them again, and they never responded. It is now 4 days later, and I still have not received a response. I was hiring a cleaning service due to having a major time crunch in my life right now, and waiting around for an entire day for them to show up - or at least call and cancel -defeats the purpose. read more

A three person crew showed up, and cleaned the entire apartment top to bottom, including our oven and each window! I've used Shamrock twice and have not been dissapointed. The first time was a move-in clean of a single family we bought. Antonio and his crew were the only company willing to venture into the basement and de-cobweb and vacuum, in addition to all the other usual move-in cleaning services (oven, fridge, cabinets). Not only were they willing, but there was no extra charge for the basement! We had a great experience so we had them come back a month later. They did an amazing job, cleaned everything top to bottom, even offering to change the bedsheets on all the beds if we wanted. I asked them to focus on the shower (there was some mildew in the tile grout) and one of the cleaners spent the majority of her time there scrubbing. It looks much better now! They do excellent work in a very efficient manner, and they are extremely friendly and work around you if you have to be at home working. I would say the best, and most impressive, part for me is that Antonio (the owner) himself is the one who answers the phone, schedules appointments and leads the cleaning team. He himself does an equal share of the cleaning, something I hadn't seen with other Boston cleaning companies when I was doing research. It makes me trust their company more knowing that he is the one coming and leading the crew; he makes sure the job is done well. All in all, would 110% recommend their services. read more

I called Shamrock on a Saturday morning desperately looking for cleaners to come clean an apartment that's been long overdue and Antonio promised right away a crew would come on Sunday morning at 8:30am, $160 for 3 cleaners for a 2 bedroom 1 bath in Brighton. I was like waoh but would they really show up on Sunday given that most cleaners don't work on the weekends... hmm When Sunday morning came, I heard the door bell around 8:40am so they were pretty much right on time. The 3 ladies, Daniella, Patricia and Nubia were polite, pleasant, efficient and hard working. With the exception of cabinets, closets, fridge and windows which were not essential areas to be cleaned, they cleaned the rest of the apartment thoroughly, from making the beds, scrubbing the bathtub to cleaning the inside of the oven. They also made the effort to move furnitures around, such as sofa and tables before vacuuming and wiping. The bathroom and the kitchen looked SO CLEAN after they were done! I was impressed. Thank you Daniella, Patricia and Nubia for doing such a great job! Thank you Antonio for being such an awesome coordinator sending quality cleaners to the customers. This is an updated review after I have been a loyal customer for almost 4 years. Have ignored a few things earlier like higher price, broken soap dish in bathroom and showing up couple of hours later than scheduled, however today was a very disappointing service. Two ladies showed up one hour early without notice and did not even apologize for causing inconvenience as I was trying to get some important things done before their scheduled arrival. Nevertheless they started and soon enough I saw them dropping my valuables carelessly and moving around. I pinged Antonio and he was responsive, also spoke to the cleaner asking them to be careful. Unfortunately after they left I still see dust and gunk around and it is so not definitely worth the money.
