I've always loved eating shakeys and the chicken and mojos was on point but the pizza was horrible. No no undercarriage and it felt undercooked. I was disappointed to be honest. Especially if you're paying almost $60. The buffet might be worth it for only $20 dollars. read more

Shakey's in Pico Rivera has re-open after it was closed for months due to fire. Everything has been upgraded. $15.99 for lunch a bunch. Everything was fresh and still as tasty. Enough employees to have the buffet full to accommodate the crowd. Manager was having customers line up outside. It helps to keep everything running smoothly. I had a really disappointing experience at this Shakey's location. I noticed behavior from staff that felt unfair and discriminatory, which is especially concerning in a workplace that hires and serves young people. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, no matter their background. Seeing this kind of behavior in a diverse environment made me uncomfortable and honestly shouldn't be overlooked. Customer service is on point now that the are open again! Super friendly dude at the counter when I went in Friday. Staff was also attentive when dropping food asking if we needed more items . Coming back for the reopening the staff are more attentive and just super awesome. The selection for bunch of lunch is great. Maria Mejia helped us find a table and cleaned it for us and if we wanted to request a pizza she let us know who to ask. The space is a lot nicer now that there are more windows. My family and I love Shakey's. When we found out that the Pico Rivera location was opening we were very happy. I called to place an order, they said it would be ready in 20 min. and when I arrived my order eas not ready and I found put that my pizza order was made incorrectly. I had asked when I called if they had a pizza and chicken comb and they said no only pizza, chicken and mojos. When I arrived I see that they had a special for a med. Pizza with chicken wings. I was not offered that, which would have been perfect for me. When I questioned the manager she just said she would mention it to the staff, and I still did not get offered the special. I also asked the manager what was the senior citizen discount and she responded I don't know. I feel that as a manager she should have known that. So I didn't get my discount, she didn't even offer it. Very disappointing service. read more

We were excited to return to the Pico location, as it used to be one of our favorite spots. Going back that Saturday night brought a lot of nostalgia for us. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect the memories we had. We received a pizza that was clearly burnt. Although we acknowledge that we should have brought it to their attention immediately, the way the situation was handled was very disappointing. When we did bring it to the staff's attention, several employees including the manager were laughing. The pizza we sent back for them to review was thrown away without any communication or follow-up. No one returned to our table to provide an update, apologize, or offer a solution. Instead, we felt avoided, and there were continued smirks and laughter when my husband and I approached the manager to discuss the issue. While we understand we could have spoken up sooner, there was no accountability taken on their end. If a pizza comes out of the oven noticeably more burnt than others, it should be caught by the staff before being served. As an establishment, quality control and customer service should be a priority. lack of professionalism and respect left us very disappointed. Don't get me wrong the place looks amazing. I went the for the buffet. It was very good for a buffet. My wife wanted dominos for dinner. Shakey's pizza is better. And most people do not know. You can request a specific pizza if you want. I do not eat pork. So they make me a pineapple and mushroom. The place is so clean. They have a pretty good basic salad bar. I will come back to the buffet. read more

We decided to dine in, got 2 salad bars and a personal meal with the mojos and 2 pieces of chicken (both were bomb) that included a slice of cheeseless pizza. The only topping was suppose to cheese... anyhow small but fixable mistake right? Yeah sure... so I asked the waitress if they could take it back to add cheese and she said there's cheese on the table. O_o... Excuse me but did you LOOK at the slice of pizza? Clearly that's a no. And if someone isn't happy shouldn't you just fix it? It's an easy request. Guess not... see picture. The other annoying fact... those small salad bar plates that take forever to be given to you. Instead of waiting around, I grabbed a black plate from a nearby station and one of the servers came with 2 little clear plates as I was almost done and said use these next time. Yeah, sure. We had no plans to stop here and eat. I really needed to use a restroom while we were on our way elsewhere. We stopped and the guy at the counter was so nice. We asked where the bathroom was and he directed us. He did not yell, "for customers only!!" at me like some have done. The bathroom was well maintained. We decided, they are so nice, let's try this place. We are so happy we did. We ordered 2 small pizzas, one with pepperoni and one with shrimp. We also ordered some of their mojo potatoes. It did not take long and our food was as ordered and hot. It was great. Now, this is not fancy artisan pizza, if you want that, go elsewhere and pay the price for it. This is old fashioned, family style pizza that is just yummy and those mojos were the bomb. The service was just so nice, the place was clean, parking was easy and we will be back. My son won a certificate at school so I brought my family the only thing ok was the Chicken the macaroni and cheese was bland as the mashed potato not even with the gravy tasted good. I hope this place opens soon. They have by far the best salad bar compared to the Whittier location this Pico location is 100 times better! Also they have a wide variety of pizza and fresh hot chicken. The service is exceptional there workers are always walking around handing you plates.
