Best thing for galstones! I have been eating here ever since I got diagnosed and I have to say I tried a lot of things and it doesn't make me sick. The other day I got a grilled chicken burrito. I had it with the chicken, cabbage, cheese and guacamole. It was delicious! Flamed grilled chicken so juicy and guacamole on point with no spice. If you sign up for rewards account (its for free) you get discounts on food. I have to say the staff here is super! I always get greeted so nicely and the manager went out of his way to greet you. I want to update my review. It is only fair to do so as I was contacted by the Manager of El Pollo Loco. Which was unexpected. I find that very professional and excellent as a customer service quality. The manager and I talked about the dispute I had with his Assistant Manager. He re-assured me that they do not serve recooked chicken. Which was one of my concerns. He also stated that he will make sure that the quality of the chicken is excellent. I did failed to mention that the assistant manager did offer to replace my meal when we had the dispute. The Manager was very understanding and helpful. He did offer a meal replacement or to give me my money back. He was very pleasant to talk to and he apologized for my several bad experiences in the past. The customer service he provided today was excellent. As for the Assistant Manager Maria when we had the dispute she was professional about it as well. So far I am very pleased with the customer service I have received after my review was taken into consideration. For their customer service they do receive a 5 stars from me. As for the chicken I do not know when I will buy chicken from here again. It was nice of the Manager to tell me to call him if I want to buy chicken from there again. read more

Can't ever go wrong with the chicken tostada, especially at this location the service is always amazing and fast. I used to be an El Pollo Loco fantatic and thought it was the best chicken available in restaurant form. Then I want to this one in Rosemead and found the chicken pieces had gotten even smaller. It took way to long to get my dine-in order and the clerk who was friendly enough could barely make change for my $20 bill and had to give me a bunch of coins not having any one's and five's in the register. Horrible customer service at this location. We come here very often and love the food but the workers can be very rude. And for some reason they think it's okay to stare at you and make little comments while they make your food. They also get very stingy about their dressing and will add extra charges to your order without telling you. They've done that to us about 3 times now. The Manager Jose at this location is a liar, we went through the Drive through on 9/5 everyone was nice it was around 8pm just got off work, when we got home took about an hour with traffic we realized the order was wrong and missing items yes we should have checked but when I asked the lady at the window she said everything was in there. so when I called I spoke to Jose and he said to go back I explained that I only go to Pico certain times during the month only and the drive was about 45 min to go back he said no worries when will you be back in the area I told him around the end of the month he said ok he got my name and check number down and told me to save the receipt he said he would replace the whole order I was like are you sure ? He said yes and apologized for the inconvenience, so today I'm in pico I go in with my receipt and the lady manager said that Jose isn't there that's she's gonna call him, he called him in the back and said that he didn't say that that I'm lying I was furious! Disappointed. I won't go to this location again. I'm an Athlete and I eat up to 6 meals a day. I usually eat El Pollo 3-6 times a week. 1. El Pollo officially launched commercials for the $5 combos. On yelp for this location, it literally says order from here $5 combos. They charge $6.29 here. Out of 4 locations I go to, it's the only spot that does this. Ok fine, not all places honor promotions right and I just wanna eat. 2. Now I ordered the nacho combo. The combos say it comes with chips and drink. Well, out of 4 locations, this is the only spot that doesn't give chips. I ask the cashier, and she says the chips is already in the nacho. Ok fine... then don't advertise it incorrectly. 3. The vitamin water is flat as heck. I drink it pretty often, it just tastes a bit weird here, maybe very watered down here. Strike 3 for me, all this just left me really unhappy with this location. It's literally been years since I've eaten at a El Pollo and I was pleasantly surprised with the food and changes they have implemented. I had my pug Iz with me so I opted to drive thru after driving around searching to grab dinner. I opted for the ultimate combo bowl which had cabbage, beans, rice chicken and avocado. I opted out on the sour cream and asked for the salsa on the side which I actually didn't utilize at all. The bowl was really satisfying and filling. The chicken was tender, flavorful and can now understand why it was so filling. Online I discovered this bad boy was over 1000 calories! Dam I could have ate a greasy cheeseburger! The bowl at least gave me the impression I was eating healthier mentally. For a quick inexpensive bite I was a happy camper and will return to El Pollo Loco. read more

I love the food here it's just fresh and satisfying. This location in particular has exceptional customer service. The gentleman taking my order greeted me, was patient when I took a few moments to decide my order, and made friendly and quick conversation. He offered me a cup of water during my wait (which was only less than two minutes). Drive though is efficient as well but going inside is much faster. Update on Dec 2018: Second review. I was having a really bad morning and when the cashier took my order she greeted me with a big smile and said hi how are you? It made me actually feel happier about my day. Thank you. As far as quick service restaurants go, El Pollo Loco gets high marks. They have fresh food, reasonably healthy, and this location has a great staff. I stop by once in a while for a late night $1 taco al carbon craving, and they are always tasty! Add to that, the good manners exhibited at their drive-up window and I'm sold! It's rare nowadays not to run into super apathetic service, but the management here is training the staff right. Always friendly, courteous, and a smile.
