Jalapeño and pepperoni

Come hungry! We came in hungry after a day of swimming and ordered the family meal. 2 pizza, 8 pieces of chicken, and mojos! The mojos are perfectly seasoned and crisp. You cannot match this taste anywhere else only Shakey's can make a perfect mojo! The pizza is the best quality of ingredients with perfect consistency with topping and sauce! The service was impeccable and friendly! Just an all around best place to enjoy PIZZA! Vibes are popping! Bring your dollars for the arcade

This the best shakeys around. The chicken is always fresh and flavorful. The buffet is always clean and fresh. Always so good. They do special request for pizza for the buffet. The owner is so nice and staff is always helpful.

Service was great! Food was as expected. The fried chicken and fries were good! The unlimited salad bar was good as well. It wasn't crowded when we went which was nice. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because out of the 6 high chairs only 1 had a working seat belt and none of them were really clean.

Clean salad bar, at least at dinner time. Fried chicken is surprisingly good. Wings are not sauced, and you have to dress them yourself with tapatio or red hot from the to-go station. Beer was cold, and glasses chilled, although $8 for a regular draft glass. Food is consistent and staff is fairly nice, if not exhausted. It's just getting expensive to eat out here. This is not my usual Shakey's, but we were in the area and wanted to do the bunch of lunch so decided to give this location a try. The parking lot is a decent size. There are other business in the same shopping complex but it was still easy to find parking right in front. We got there maybe 15 minutes before they opened and there were a few people in line and some people who have already started eating. The cashier in the front, I wish I would have got his name, was super friendly and since we had already seen that there was no pan pepperoni or cheese pizza, for my son, we asked him if we could place an order for those and he happily let the cooks in the back know. Now one issue I had was there was no pizza that was just plain peperoni and cheese it had other items added. You would think at a buffet they would have the most popular items. Yes, we placed an order for what we wanted but still there was really no other options for us or especially my son who is a picky eater. It took about 20 minutes for the pizza we wanted to come out but took about an additonal 10 minutes for my sons cheese to come out. When we asked another worker he told us the cheese pizza was just placed and there were tons of other request in front of us. This was obviously not true as we placed them both at the same time. The first worker who we initial placed the request with saw what was happening and insured us it would be coming up next. He was right as within a few minutes it was out. So again, I wish I would have got the young man's name, but he is what honestly made me change this review from being a 3 star to a 4-star review. As far as seating this location is pretty decently sized. The location I normally go to is a bit bigger, but I did not see anyone struggling to find a seat. There is also a small arcade for the kids. Each game seems to be about $1. This location is a little out of my way, so I don't see myself coming back anytime soon but for a Shakey's bunch of lunch it served its purpose.

Nostalgic--my first plate (several plates)

They use third party delivery service. The delivery was a disappointment. Online ordering was easy.

The Minestrone soup made by the owner's mother is best in class...one of the greatest dishes served at any restaurant in Orange County (I very highly recommend!!). The cuisine from the kitchen is consistently delicious. What is equally as delighting is the friendly service staff. I just left there for my third time and have had three different servers and they have all been absolutely fantastic. Each time I leave this restaurant, I immediately think about when I'm going back. I suggest this place to anyone who wants to eat tasty food served by amazing people.

Date of visit: Sep 8, 2026…read more What a disappointing birthday dinner. I came here with high hopes of finding one of those hidden-gem, hole-in-the-wall Italian places, but unfortunately, it all ended up blowing up in my face. The biggest problem was simple: everything--from the soup to the main dishes--was way too salty. We were a party of six, and three of us ordered pasta with the garlic cream sauce: the Pescatore, Shrimp & Scallop, and Clam. The sauce wasn't thickened enough, so it was much too soupy for a pasta dish, and the taste of white wine was very prominent. The garlic cream sauce was salty too, although nowhere near as crazy salty as the Chicken Piccata, Tortellini Giovanni, and Minestrone. Chicken Piccata: Like everything else we tried, this dish was just way too salty. The lemon-butter sauce was completely overwhelmed by the capers, and eating it honestly felt like shoveling forkfuls of salt into my mouth. The only saving grace was the chicken itself, which was cooked well and had a nice golden-brown exterior. Tortellini Giovanni: Just okay. I've definitely had better. The cheese filling inside the tortellini wasn't particularly good, although the Italian sausage was pretty tasty. The more I ate, though, the saltier, heavier, and oilier the dish seemed to get. Overall, there was really nothing special about it. Minestrone: SO salty that I couldn't even finish it. I'm not sure if this is simply their recipe or if the soup had been refrigerated and reheated to the point where some of the water had evaporated, leaving the salt increasingly concentrated. It's too bad because the underlying flavor was actually there--it was just completely ruined by the amount of salt. Pizza: Just okay. The dough wasn't bad, and I actually liked that it had some chewiness to it. But for the price, I'd rather go somewhere else. I really wanted to love this place, especially since this was my birthday dinner. I wasn't expecting fancy or perfect--I was hoping for a charming little hole-in-the-wall with really good, comforting Italian food. Unfortunately, we left super disappointed.

Tomato sauce, mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, and Italian sausage. Everything was balanced and flavorful, the mushrooms and sausage worked so well together. Easily my favorite of the two. But this time alot of the bottom of the pizza was burnt on the bottom and owner said it's normal. Burnt bread doesnt taste good imo. Good thing it was just half of both pizzas and good thing our initial 1st pcs were ok, except for my mom who i saw later was tearing the bottom off bc she can taste the bitter burnt part. Then ofc she got another slice and it was just too much for her to tear off. So I'm not the type to just not say anything bc I come from restaurant/food and I would ofc let them know. But I think the owner doesn't take feedback positively. Burnt is burnt... it didn't look sooooo terrible but it tasted very bitter. But that's ok... sometimes Ego gets us. Then I told my sis and she said "didn't that happen last time"... so then I must make this review so I remind myself not to go back and waste my time, meal and money. Took the leftovers to pick the toppings off and have with crostini at home. Also didn't get any refills on our soda and my mom was annoyed about that. Guess she wanted another sip and she's bitter after all the bitterness she had for dinner. Haha

We came here after the Whitney Houston Candlelight concert at the Nixon Library, and what a find!…read moreApparently we weren't the only ones with the same idea -- some other people from the concert were at Terra too and recognized us: "Hey, weren't you just at the Candlelight concert?" My sister originally chose Terra because she saw a picture of one of their salads with salmon and knew immediately that was what she wanted. We had no idea we were about to discover a new favorite restaurant. 10/10 -- I've already bookmarked Terra because I will absolutely be back. When we arrived, we told our server we had never been there before and asked what she recommended. Her descriptions of the food were fantastic, and she steered us toward the wood-grilled peaches with burrata and arugula. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely delicious! The grilled peaches, creamy burrata and arugula were such a wonderful combination. Then the salad came out, with salmon added. I took my first bite and was literally speechless. It was an explosion of flavor -- the avocado, salmon, sesame dressing and everything else going on in that salad just worked. The salmon costs extra, but it was absolutely worth it. The peach dish and the salad were completely different flavor experiences, and honestly I would happily order both of them again. We were talking about how we were gonna come back and try to resist ordering the same thing over again, but that will be a challenge. Of course, we were at a wood-fired pizza restaurant, so we HAD to try the pizza. We ordered half-and-half. One side was the fingerling potato pizza, especially after our server told us the story about the owner's daughter wanting fingerling potatoes on her pizza and how that helped inspire the restaurant. Obviously, after hearing that story, we had to try the pizza that started it all! And it did not disappoint. I can definitely see myself ordering that again. The other half was the salami pizza with the honey drizzle. It was supposed to have some heat -- my sister could taste it, although I couldn't -- and the honey made it a really interesting combination. Not something I would normally think to order, but definitely worth trying. I also ordered the citrus agave, thinking it was basically a fancy name for lemonade. It wasn't! Lemon, orange and lime made it much more interesting, with just a slight bitterness from the citrus that balanced the sweetness. Delicious and different. We sat upstairs, where there was a wonderful breeze coming through on a summer evening. The whole atmosphere was charming and relaxed, the service was excellent, and the food was memorable. The biggest surprise? Terra is right near my office, and I never knew it was there. Definitely a 10/10. I came because of a recommendation, and now I'm recommending it to everyone else. I will absolutely be back.

I got a special that they had which was a noodle dish with white sauce and a cut of beef on top. It was very good, 30ish dollars. It was a disappointingly small cut of meat, but it was a delicious dish. The other dish we tried was the beets appetizer, which was fantastic. It sounds kinda weird, but I would highly recommend it. The fish tacos with ono fish were also very yummy. Everything on the menu looks exciting and it keeps you wanting to come back. We wanted to try the pizza, which is one of their specialties, but we will have to come back for that. The interior is nice and it gives the possibility to make it feel like a date night place while still offering a bit of a casual vibe. I would recommend this place for sure. We walked out the door having had 2 entrees and an appetizer for about 95$ after tip, so not too bad if you know coming in.
