Came here for a weekday lunch and was surprised to see the all you can eat buffet was only $15 (…read moreI'm sure the price is different for weekends / dinner). At that price, I was a little skeptical about the food. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, so no issues with parking. Since you pre pay before being seated, the line was long and slow with only one cashier available. The dining room is spacious with a variety of options, including sushi, American, Asian, fruit, salad, dessert and a large Mongolian stir-fry station where you choose your own ingredients and have them cooked to order. The sushi station was the most popular with nigiri and rolls. The salmon nigiri disappeared within a minute of being restocked, so timing is everything if that's what you're after. Considering the price, I wasn't expecting high quality, but I was surprised of the options available. The staff did great clearing plates promptly throughout the meal. For an AYCE buffet that costs less than fast food meals, it's a great deal for families.

Yes, the price has gone up as a result, but they have way more options on par with more expensive places. On the weekend/dinner, they now have a chilled seafood section with items that aren't covered in any type of sauce including, but not limited to; raw oysters, crab legs, abalone, crawfish. They still have their steamed dungeness crab, fried crab, and craw fish boils. I don't think these updates have caught on yet because those premium items aren't attacked like donuts at a police department. At most buffets, you see people walking away with stacked plates with none left for you when you're third in line. This place usually keeps a steady supply. The only thing that sucks is the single serve ice cream. I know it's more sanitary, but soft serve and scooped ice cream would really put that place in the next tier up for Asian buffets.

The food is all okay at best with the fresh fruit actually being tasty and refreshing, although it could be chilled a little more. The meats are actually not bad either, a little chewy but if you don't mind that then you'll be fine. The servers are all very friendly and don't seem to forget about clearing plates or taking drink orders which I did really appreciate so I hope they never change that and thank you for providing great service. The ambiance is decent as well. Clean with a nice mural of the Great Wall in the back where larger parties are sat. Since this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I initially expected someone to seat me, but I was simply told to find any available table and start eating. That was perfectly fine with me. The food selection included several salads, meats, and other dishes, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out. Overall, I found the food fairly average. The main reason for my two-star rating, however, was what happened when I paid. My bill was around $36.50. I paid cash with one $20 bill and four $5 bills, for a total of $40, and told the cashier to keep the change. What made me uncomfortable was that almost immediately after I handed her the money--while she was still saying "Have a good day"--she pulled out a counterfeit-detection pen and started checking my bills right in front of me. I understand that businesses may have policies for checking cash, and I have no problem with a restaurant protecting itself against counterfeit money. However, the way this was handled felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and somewhat insulting. She could easily have waited until I had stepped away before checking the bills instead of immediately testing them in front of me as soon as I handed them over. I was not rushing out of the restaurant or behaving suspiciously in any way. Of course, I have never knowingly used counterfeit money. The whole interaction simply left me feeling as though I was being treated with suspicion for no apparent reason. If checking cash is standard procedure, I can understand that. But customer service also matters, and there are more discreet ways to handle it without making a paying customer feel accused or embarrassed. Between the average food and this unpleasant experience at checkout, I can only give this restaurant two stars.

If you're familiar with the meme, "XYZ is the game of all time", then yes, this place is the Asian buffet of all OC, and not in a bad way. It's the classic affordable buffet experience standing tall amidst an otherwise declining Buena Park mall, and honestly these classic buffets are starting to get rare these days, as more stores lean towards trendy or premium themes like AYCE wagyu or AYCE premium seafood that will run you $50+ a head. And despite this place for intents and purposes checking off everything standard you can expect from an Asian buffet, there are still a couple of standouts that separate this from others around its price/quality level: - Mostly-fresh and easy to peel rock crab (especially if you get lucky with a new batch). I could do 3 plates of these by themselves - Other seafood offerings decently fresh as well (big fan of the white fish and cajun shrimp) - Multiple sashimi offerings - Plentiful AND fresh fruit options - Strangely specific but they had marinated pig ear here, yummy! - Actual ice cream as opposed to the watery soft serve machines you typically see Sure there may be some misses, but the food that's good is pretty dang good. If you're looking for the highest quality buffet food ever, you won't find it here, but if you crave the classic affordable Asian buffet experience near Knotts or Disney, this place is it.

Many types of shrimp to choose from. No steamed crab legs but they have the fried salt & pepper crab, which was good. However, they only refilled it once every 30 mins and there was always a long line already waiting in front of the crab station. The kitchen only put out one tray each time so good luck in getting some because the first four (4) people in line pretty much took them all. LoL I was the fourth one in line and just took whatever was left on the tray, which wasn't much! But there were plenty of other choices and there's something for everyone. Restaurant was super crowded but service was good since there were many employees. Someone's review here on Yelp says it's $12.5 for lunch & couple dollars more for dinner. That's incorrect.
