I want to start this off by saying that we love Shake Shack in general and usually really enjoy the food and experience. Unfortunately, this location seems to have mostly very young employees working without enough visible management or supervision, and it really impacts the customer experience. This is the second time we've waited an unreasonable amount of time for something simple that we already ordered and paid for, this time being a side of Shake Sauce. We stood at the front waiting because there was no employee anywhere to be seen, and the few employees who were around completely ignored us. There was also a pregnant woman standing there waiting 5 to 10 minutes just to be acknowledged because items from her order were missing as well. If no one is going to consistently stay at the front, the restaurant should at least have a bell, buzzer, or some system so customers are not left standing there wondering what to do. What's most frustrating is that these were issues that should have been handled correctly from the beginning, and when employees finally did help, the attitude and facial expressions were unprofessional and unwelcoming. The food is still good, which is why this is disappointing. This location seems like it would really benefit from stronger management presence, better customer service training, and experienced managers who can properly guide and support newer or younger employees. read more

Firstly could not get out of the vehicle due to humiliation at matching outfits (UNPLANNED). Secondly all the better because this is very embarrassing ordering the Dubai Labubu shack (2). Limited edition shack. Very excited. Ok wait this might be one of my favorite shakes of all time. I LOVE chocolate and pistoachio combo. Everything that has ever gone wrong at a Shack location is on me, not faulting the establishment. Making the drive thru awkward? On me. Ordering Oreo funnel cake shake even though I don't like funnel cake? On me. That one dance squad (?) wearing all matching white tshirt black leggings combo around the Garden City location at 9pm on a Thursday? Ok that one wasn't me. Anyways I was feeling nervous looking at this limited edition shack because there appears to be some sort of hay and shaved grass (?) on top. Not really a horse so not too into that on first glance (see image). But as mentioned this is phenomenal. Love it! My last visit to this location featured a man I'll never forget. He drove into the parking lot going 45mph all the way up until he parked right next to my vehicle. The parking lot was mostly empty. Love it! Pretty much what you would expect from a Shake Shack. We went through the drive through. Two double cheese and two fries. Prepare yourself for the total. Burgers come in a half wrap and are placed in a paper bag with the fries. They are not fully wrapped just because they are take-away. The burgers are tasty. The fries are frozen crinkle cut so they are what you'd expect. We went between lunch and dinner and service was quick. The young man who assisted us was very nice and has a great voice. Kind of like talking to Darth Vader over the intercom. Deep base. Getting to the drive thru can be a bit tricky. The entrance to the Shake Shack drive thru is right next to the exit for the chicken place next door. It comes up on you quick. There are two order lanes and one pick-up lane (i.e. they merge after you order) There is a good sized customer parking lot on the opposite side of the building from where you enter the drive-thru. As a big fan of In N Out burger, given that I spend half of my time in Los Angeles, I needed an East Coast alternative. Shake Shack is addictive ... a salty crust on a smashburger, which manages to be juicy and flavorful. The ingredients seem fresh and the ratio of bun to burger to sauce is perfect on the double burger. The only complaint I would have is that I am a sucker for crisp, fresh iceberg lettuce on a burger vs. the thin, leafy stuff you get here. The tomato could also be a bit fresher. The staff here is on the rowdy side ... so was I as a teenager, I guess. It seems to do mostly drive through business, as the interior was practically empty vs. online order pickups. The interior smells a bit like burning burgers, which worried me. However, the actual burger was done perfectly ... moist, salty and perfectly cooked. The burger was put together well and easy to eat. The shakes I have had at various Shake Shacks are not the greatest. I invested another 10 minutes to get a burger at Shake Shack and a milkshake, directly next door, at Chic Filet, which has much better milkshakes. My wait time from order to burger coming out at Shake Shack was around 10 minutes. It's not fast food ... but it's better than anything you could ever dream of getting at Wendy's or McDonalds. I was surprised to find Shake Shack. I heard that it was a recent addition to the town. I ordered fries and black & white shake. And my family members ordered the holiday shake, Oreos shake, and burgers and fries. The food was the same as I remembered from what I had in LA. I waited to eat my fries so the cheese on the fries were not that great. So if you're not planning to eat the cheese fries right away, I recommend getting the regular fries. The shakes were good. Nothing extraordinary. My family member also got the truffle Parmesan fries and they didn't have any truffle taste. The price was same as other locations. But I do think they are on the pricier side. I never bother to write reviews but... I had never tried Shake Shack so I stopped for a couple of burgers. Went in to see what it was like. Industrial feel, bare walls and tablets to order. That was fine. It's a burger place. Placed my order along with my name and an order number. I sat and waited for 25 minutes. Finally, an employee asked what I was waiting for. I told him I placed an order and told him the order number. He went in the back. After about ten more minutes, I started pacing around near the register. After a bit, a different employee asked, "You didn't get your food yet?" I said no and the first employee came out front and looked at some bags that had been sitting on the counter. He slid one of them in my general direction and went back. No "Here it is, I'm sorry about that", not a word. The other employee just laughed. I grabbed the bag and she actually said "Have a nice day", while she was still laughing. I don't expect much when it comes to service in a fast food place. I really don't. Mostly young people getting crappy pay. I get it. But this was damn near disrespectful. Common courtesy would dictate a simple, "Sorry about that." Oh, the food? Average, run of the mill burgers. Nothing special. The fries were terrible. Perhaps they would have been edible if they didn't sit on the counter for 15 minutes. Nothing good to say. Don't waste your time. read more

I was ignored. Took several minutes before someone asked if I needed help. Took another five minutes to identify where my order was. She indicated it would be brought out to me once ready. Revived food at 6:49. Burger not cooked, went back to the counter to try to get a replacement burger. Took several minutes for them to verify my order though I had the burger in my hands. Needed to leave by seven. So I asked them to prioritize cooking my burger. And the managers instead asked to give me a refund. Terribly food, terrible service. Good quality fast food at restaurant prices. We got a chicken sandwich, a burger, one order of fries and two shakes and it came to $40. The shakes are obviously the draw. I found them small, somewhat thin and expensive. Not at all better than Chick-fil-A or Five Guys, which would be the obvious competition. The chicken sandwich was crispy, tasty and tiny for the price. Same could be said for the burgers. Fries were crinkle cut, frozen type, but very well prepared, crispy and perfectly seasoned. There wasn't an employee at the register, but he didn't seem to greet us. So, we utilized the self-serve kiosk. Ordering was simple, but it was a little confusing, considering it was our first time. The food was a bit pricey for the portion size. I gotta cheeseburger and my daughter god a chicken sandwich, we split fries. My daughter got a mango drink, and I got a root beer float. I've been to this location twice now in the past month, and I live in north kingstown! So it's not really a right around the corner situation. Shake shack is great. Their biggest downfall will be their prices. Who will regularly pay that much for fast food? Especially with chick fil a right next door. You can buy a combo there for the same price as one cheeseburger at shake shack. That being said, the food is yummy. The shakes are great. I wish the burgers came with fries I got their newest truffle cheeseburger, delicious. Fries are excellent. I got the cherry blossom shake, which just as I was hoping, didn't taste like cough syrup. A lighter more vanilla cherry flavor. I went inside both times for food. The place is brand new, so clean. There's just not much going on there. Service was good since the wait time was reasonable. My biggest shock was the price. It's a drive through. I got a single basic cheeseburger and a small chocolate shake. $14! The burger was small with maybe 1/4th beef. I skipped the crinkle fries because last time I got them they were still frozen - they reminded me of those frozen fries your mom used to take out of the freezer and heat up in the oven. Service is fine for drive thu. But the presentation of the burger is in an open wrapper inside a big brown bag. For $14 go to a chain restaurant and grab a burger/fries & coke. I asked for 2 bacon cheese fries and I only got 1 with bacon on it. Not to mention the pallid cheese they slathered on the fries haphazardly. The lemonade is pretty standard fare. As far as service is concerned, waiting 10 minutes is hardly fast food but the employees were nice. The burgers are not worth the price.
