    Single bacon cheeseburger

This is actually an update I decided to give Shake Shack another shot and went inside this time instead of using the drive-thru. Turns out, the last time I came they gave me a plain cheeseburger--no lettuce or tomato--so that explains why it felt a little basic. This time, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with added pickles, lettuce (no tomato), and crispy onions--and man, this thing is good. Everything worked together perfectly, and the crispy onions added an awesome crunch. I also got fries with a side of Shake Shack sauce and wow--that sauce is legit. Definitely worth getting on the side. I should have gotten two sides of it. Glad I gave it another try. This might become a regular spot for me now.

Shake Shack is never a miss for me! The staff were super kind and friendly and my food was made hot, fresh, and fast! I've been to this location a couple times and I've had a great experience every time. The burger is perfect in every way and the cheese fries are probably my favorite thing in the menu. I always get them. SS had amazing milkshakes, but I opted to get a drink this go round! As always, Shake Shack will most definitely see me again!

The food was oh so good and tasty. Wasn't sure if spending $21 on lunch was a financially sound decision though

I believe their burners run hot. It's the only reason I can guess why each burger I've bought here gets charred.

I came back and bought the shack burger but it's still too burnt on the outer edges. The other aspects, such as the cheese inside the mushroom patty was still fine and gooey. I did order this online through their app, and it was ready promptly.

I've had Shake Shack a few times before in two different states, when I saw there was one by where my daughter would be competing I was excited. Despite the past reviews I still like giving these establishments a chance. I decided to use the kiosk to order, It was quite easy. It was almost lunch time, they weren't busy so my food was ready fairly quickly. A nice young man brought me my food and made sure I didn't need anything else. I had the Shroom Burger, fries and a water. This burger was as delicious as I had remembered it was the last time I had it in Seattle. The outside of the mushroom was crispy as it should be. I was in shroom heaven. My daughter had a Shake burger and of course I had to steal a bite. This burger was tasty, the meat was seasoned well and warm. She really enjoyed her meal. We both enjoyed the crispy fries and the refreshing water. I'd say we would definitely stop by again.

Fries, over done in grease...burger, poorly made with very little slaw. Service and environment are always nice but at this location, the food is not...

I've never had shake shack before, even though they're in my part of the US. After an extremely long day of road tripping and very little eating, my friend suggested SS for a late dinner. The drive thru was busy, but not extremely bad. I ordered a normal double patty shack burger with meat, cheese, and shack sauce. It was incredibly fresh, hot, and better than I anticipated! I'll definitely be trying other Shack Shakes around me and hopefully, they'll be as good as the one in Lee's Summit.

Quality of the shakes was ok, but charging $10 for a shake is ridiculous. I hope they are paying their employees well.

More than just Frozen Custard!…read more For perspective, it has been said people should be more than a "pretty face.'' I do like their frozen custard as much as I do Ted Drew's in St. Louis! But it might be a disservice to some of the other things available. In the "Covid Lockdown Era", we're open to safe drive throughs and curbside delivery as an alternative to actually cooking meals in our kitchen. So on a whim we decided to check out their non-frozen offerings for dinner. Pulling up at the dive through a friendly voice came out of the speaker. As we had never had anything but frozen custard their we did quick looks at their menu. I settled on a "Rockin Burger" (¼ lb Angus patty served on a butter toasted bun with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles and King sauce), my order without the tomatoes and pickles as that's my taste. My wife latched onto the "KC Jazz Burger" (¼ lb Angus patty served on a butter toasted bun with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, sizzling bacon and BBQ sauce). Both were ordered as "meals," adding fries and a medium Pepsi product. On first glance we were both impressed with quantity served. Not following the herd, the burgers were actually bigger than the buns (not a "Where's the Beef" moment). Red onions rather than chopped onions was another case of walking on the wild side. The buns were another high point. Not anemic or overpowering the sandwiches, they had great flavor without some hard crust or mushy afterthought - easily enhancing the sandwiches. The fries were very good for fast food. The BBQ sauce was light and also flavor enhancing (acceptable in Kansas City). The tab for both meals was around $16.00 including tax. Adding to the enjoyment, the packaging allowed for the meals to still be hot when we finished to 3 mile drive home (kind of rare in fast food). For now they only offer drive through and delivery during the lockdowns. Safety first. Looking past the "Pretty Face" of their frozen custard, there is real substance within their menu. That initial "whim" paid off, and I am sure we will be returning.

It's not god-awful, but our entire experience was just...subpar. To start off, the service is not great. The entire place seems to be staffed by teenagers (not a bad thing!) who have not been trained to run the place well (a bad thing) and who don't know what's on offer (a very bad thing). We asked if we could substitute the cheddar cheese that comes on the burger for American cheese. She didn't know and went to ask her manager, then returned to inform us that they don't have American cheese. What kind of Americana-themed diner doesn't have American cheese?! The food was also just fine. The burger patties look like they came straight out of the freezer in a school cafeteria, but they tasted surprisingly good! Well-seasoned and not rubbery. The buns were fine. The fries were good, beer-battered and flaky but quite undercooked. The soda tasted like nothing - barely even carbonated water. To add to the (non-literal) sour taste left by the food, the ice cream was just so-so. The custard was bland and the ice cream is quite expensive, especially for not being made in-house. Boo! The ambience is cute but it seems like someone just googled "50s Americana" and added the first 15 Amazon listings to their cart to decorate the place. As another reviewer said, I am EXTREMELY disappointed to see what seems like a local institution advertising with hideous AI-generated posters. Is it really that hard to take a picture of a burger or an ice cream cone? I wouldn't recommend this place. Take a trip north to Danny's Burger Shack for a good meal instead!

I got a call 30 minutes later saying that the cake could not be made because my order did not come in in time. After finally tracking down and speaking to the manager, she told me there was a "glitch in the system" and that my order actually never came in. None of this could possibly be true, being as my receipt was in the shop when I arrived. They all acknowledged that my order had arrived at the store, but no one bothered making it. Avoid this place at all cost. While I was waiting around a woman arrived asking for a dairy free option, the girl behind the counter said she did not know if they had one, and offered "sugar free". I walked over and pointed out the dairy free option to the woman who came in. I don't work there, but standing there for 10 minutes I was more versed in the produce than their paid employees. Absolute train wreck of a business. I ended up driving frantically to Hyvee to grab last minute cakes as opposed to having nothing. This was supposed to be a too tier dessert treat for a special occasion. What a profound disappointment.

Up until now, I've always had a good experience at this location. Unfortunately, my visit on 5/6/26 around 8 PM was disappointing. I ordered a quart of the Apple Pie A La Cold Stone, which is supposed to include French vanilla ice cream, apple pie filling, pie crust, cinnamon, and caramel. The young man preparing it barely added any mix-ins at all. There were only a few tiny pieces of apple in the entire container, and when I politely asked if he could add a little more, he only added what looked like one extra piece. The quart container also didn't seem properly filled for the price. I understand the employees were young and likely still learning, and I didn't want to make a scene because there was a line of customers waiting. Still, when customers are paying premium prices, they expect the portions and ingredients to match what's advertised. I'm hoping this was just an off night because I really do enjoy Cold Stone, but consistency and portion quality definitely matter.
