First time here and I had the plant base buffalo chicken sandwich which was paired with the jalapeno poppers and I had a small Cola. Mohamed was working pretty hard back there not sure if he was by his self but he sure was moving like he was.. shout out to Muhammad for the tasty plant-based chicken sandwich which was my first and something that I probably will revisit Shake and buns for, cuz I'm trying to change up my meat-eating ways, the texture was really close to what I would call chicken even though it was a plant-based sandwich the bun was soft and they came together for a really good chicken sandwich the jalapeno poppers were very fresh and hot and a little spicy but they are jalapeno poppers, fries were really good even after reheating them they tasted the same ,no complaints here. This is a drive thru restaurant located in the Walgreens shopping center. It was a rough start with the ordering. We told the man over the speaker we had never been here and he seemed annoyed and promptly cut us off by saying "just order when you're ready". Leaving us feeling rushed we looked over the menu quickly and ordered a California chicken sandwich by itself and a western burger combo. The total was a little over $28. We waited maybe 8 mins for the food to be made and the woman who helped at the window was very nice and polite. We drove home about 2 miles away and immediately took photos of the food that smelled so good. The fries are amazing, crunchy and crinkle with yummy seasoning salt. The ranch was good, and was not extra charge. The California chicken sandwich was good, however the bun was soggy due to the washed lettuce. The taste was great with fresh avocado and real bacon. I could only eat half because of the very soggy bun. The western burger was very well made and the only could be he wished it was bigger lol. The ambiance was drive thru home town feel. Overall we want to try it again and maybe know what we want before we pull up to the ordering speaker. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

Ya'll!!!! I have been craving a burger so fiercely, that if I wasn't fixed, I'd swear I was pregnant! After going to Frosty King (40 minute wait!), In n Out (usually love but must of been an off day), and Freddy's (Delicious!) over the last couple of weeks chasing the perfect burger, I had yet to find one that satisfied the craving. I was so tempted to go back to Freddy's since it was the best burger I've had in the last couple of weeks, but I've been wanting to try Shake N Buns since they opened. I was so skeptical after reading the reviews, most of them were complaining about wait times, which I can deal with, especially since there is a walk-up window, but I decided to give it a try anyway. When I rolled up there were about 8 cars in the drive thru so I decided to park and walk up. There was one guy sitting at the tables waiting for his order and another one walked up behind me. I waited about 3-4 minutes before being helped so I decided to ask the guy behind me if he'd tried their food before. He said the burgers were "ok" but the fries were amazing. When the lady opened the window to take my order she also answered the phone and was informed by a previous customer that her order had gotten messed up. The employee told her she could come back and they would fix it for her and the customer agreed...handled perfectly! Both customer and employee were happy. I got the double burger with fries and upgraded my drink to the banana dip crunch, got the hubby a peanut butter/ banana shake, one daughter the strawberry cheesecake swirl and the other daughter a cone. Everyone enjoyed everything, especially me! The burger was pretty damn good! I really liked the cheese. It seemed like real cheese and not a Kraft single, the pickles were great and it had a perfect amount of sauce (ketchup? Mustard?) and the guy behind me was correct...the fries were amazing! I didn't even use ketchup! All in all I ended up waiting about 20 minutes and it seemed like all 7-8 cars that were there while I was, were just about gone by the time my food was ready. So wow!! Haven't been here for a couple of years and live right down the street from it. They've really got burger making down. Super enjoyable bacon monster burger with zucchini fries I added the grilled onions and avocado and holy hell was it amazeballs. Definitely will make this a monthly habit now lol. First time here. We waited in a pretty slow drive thru line, hoping it was slow because food was fresh and well prepared. I ordered spicy chicken sandwich and zucchini sticks, wife ordered classic burger and fries and drink/ I also ordered a milk shake and a kids burger. Total was $40 which we both thought was high but let's wait and see about portion size and quality. What a bummer!!! This place operates quite the racket! Every thing is an extra. I asked for pickles on my chicken sandwich $.65 wow! To make it even worse they didn't even add the pickles but I'm not driving back for pickles. They charged us $.65 to remove pickles from our kids burger- wish they told us I would have took them off the kids burger and put them in my chicken sandwich. They also charged $.50 to make the milk shake 2 flavors instead of 1. Just really excessive add on fees when food is already over priced. Here's the bad part- the food was just ok at best! My chicken sandwich was just a supermarket frozen chicken patty with lettuce and tomato for $7.65 my wife's burger was about the size of a McDonald hamburger and my zucchini sticks were pretty small as well. Not a lot of flavor to any of the food! Way too many good places to eat in town to think about returning- hopefully there isn't an up charge for not coming back! Oh yeah they also up charge to use a credit or debit card! Check out the receipt and pics before you head over. The food is very very yummy. The fries taste exactly what they look like. The classic cheeseburger is so incredibly delicious. My boyfriend got the western combo and said the burger was good, tasted like what you'd expect a western burger to taste like (but in a good way). The strawberry milkshake was so good I finished it in the car on the way home. The service was a bit slow, but the workers very nice and attentive. Good ambiance I'd say idk. read more

Expected to have sushi when I drove up to this location. Why did I expect that? Well, this place used to be a sushi joint. Now they are Shake N'Buns. When did this happen? Did not feel like going somewhere else so I drove up to give my order. Decided to try a cheeseburger and their fried zucchini. One vehicle was ahead of me in the drive-thru, and it did not take too long before I was at the window receiving my order. Service was pleasant as well. Arrived home to try my meal. Order was correct. Cheeseburger and fried zucchini were both hot and fresh. Nothing special about the meal. Burger was good as well as the fried zucchini. Overall, though, the experience was not as good as other Mom and Pop burger joints in town. Prices were a bit high compared to the competition especially if you compare portion size. Next time, I'll have to try their shakes. They have happy hour specials for them. read more

Woke up after a night filled with too many drinks. A cheeseburger was in order, straight away. I had never tried this place, but heard good things so I pulled my car into the queue. I drooled as I eyed the menu and decided upon a loaded cheeseburger meal with a peanut butter shake and some fried pickles. Everything I ordered was better than I imagined it would be. The burger tasted fresh - every component was as it should be. It honestly looked as perfect as a picture when I took it out of the bag. I had to cut the burger in half since I am not a lumberjack and could only eat half. (Who am I kidding..I could have probably eaten the whole thing if my stomach wasn't still serving up slight waves of queasiness from the mild hangover) The fried pickles were THEE best fried pickles to ever grace these lips. I am a big fan of pickles and have tried them almost everywhere they are offered. These dudes weren't those over-breaded mushy logs other places serve up with liquid pickle inside. Perfectly battered with a cool pickle inside like it had only been placed there 3 seconds ago. This makes me really happy. About as happy as that peanut butter milkshake. I could have handled more peanut butter but this is no fault of theirs- I am a pb monster. Anyway - the place is small but it churns out some really delicious burgers and sides. Saw this place had just recently opened and wanted to stop in and give it a try. First impressions of the place are kinda eh. The first downside was that their ice cream machine was down (I know this isn't their fault but it was a bummer) Second downside was the cold fries, after waiting about 15 minutes for my food the fries were cold which was also a bit of a bummer ( side note I did eat my food onsite so travel didn't make the fries cold) Will definitely try them again once they've adjusted more. read more

I was super excited that a new burger spot was opening near me. I haven't been to in-n-out since they screwed up my order and I swear Habit has changed their patties to some kind of cheap meat. Rolled on in for lunch before heading out to run some errands. I went with the pastrami burger and my wife got the lunch combo with a pumpkin pie shake. We also got fried pickles to share. It was just shy of 40$. One weird thing to note is that all prices that are listed are for cash, credit is an additional cost. This is the first place I have ever seen do that. Service was friendly, food came out quick. We decided to park and have lunch in the car. Thank goodness, because my burger was already slightly soggy and I had literally just gotten it 60 seconds before. Everything was a tad on the salty side. I added ketchup to the pastrami to tone it down. Flavor was good but nothing to rave about. The combo does come with a generous serving of fries. Fried pickles were good. My favorite item from the entire meal was definitely the pumpkin shake. This is one of those places I will never jump at the chance of coming to but if I was in the parking lot, craving a burger and did not want to drive anywhere else this would do. read more

I recently visited hoping they had worked out the kinks of opening a new location. Over all it ended up being a disappointment but hopefully they just need some more time to work a few things out. I got the western burger combo, a Reese's swirl, and a lettuce wrapped double bacon burger. The combo; the burger was solid. An above average western style burger. Bbq sauce, crispy onion rings, and a decent amount of bacon. The seasoning on the fries was too sweet for me. They we crisp but not very hot. Also the soda was flat and did have enough syrup. The Reese's swirl had a weird chemical flavor. I ended up throwing it out. The bacon double lettuce wrapped was again an above average burger. It's hard to recommend a place with these types of issues when it was as pricey as the meal ended up being. If you go I'd say stick to the burgers. Again hopefully they can work their issues out. read more

Victim of shrinkflation I ordered a large size friy - got home an I could swear it is the same sizwe as what they used to sell as a regular sized fry and the packaging for the regular fry on the other order was much smaller than what they used to sell. Reducing food quantity and raising prices means they just lost a regular customer. Otherwise food is good - no complaints there - the complaint is deceptive practice of shrinkflation. read more

I've been going here for the happy hour milkshakes and everything has been great. Today our milkshakes tasted like chemicals. Like maybe the cleaning solution wasn't rinsed properly off the equipment? I'm not sure but it was horrifying to take a sip and have it taste like poison. We were scared to go back since when I said thank you the girl said uh huh. Then we drove away and tried our shakes and just threw them out. As new as this place is, it's sad that I have to leave a low one star review. Went through the drive thru, literally three cars in front of me when I pulled up. You figure it would be quick with only 3 cars but how I was wrong. 47 minutes in the drive thru to get food and it's not like you can get out of line once your in. A simple pastrami and fries with a lemonade ended up being a full Andrew Jackson bill. So much for a lunch combo when it's literally costing you $20 is outrageous and you would think it better be the best pastrami. Nope wrong again just average, bread was soggy and the fries were under cooked and way over salted. Would I come here again....absolutely not. Would I recommend it??? Heck no especially when you can go directly across the street over to New Vintage grill and order a pastrami fries and a beer for less than this place and would be out quicker than sitting in this drive thru.
