So People's Choice came over. "That noise is terrible. It should be a lot quieter. I can make quiet," he lied. He took it away for a couple of days charged me a small fortune and it made a lot more noise when he brought back. "Those ACs are always that noisy," he said. Wasted time and money. Another example: He said he could repair a 25-year-old discontinued AC. He wanted to charge $900. I called several dealers and the repair center for the company that now owns the brand. I described the problem. They all said People's Choice was just ripping me off. It needed parts, and none had been available for more than 10 years. The repair center for the brand said it would even be impossible for them to repair. He said I was very lucky it still worked because almost all ACs of that model had been dead for 10 years. He said there was no way People's Choice could repair it, and the only solution was buying another AC. Do not even consider using People's Choice.
