After requesting bids and talking to a number of contractors, we hired Mike and his team to remove our old Fujitsu mini split system and replace it with the 2022 models. It was a great business experience start to finish. Beforehand, Mike promptly provided the necessary insurance paperwork for our property. Mike and his team showed up when they said they would, prepared the spaces and protected our surfaces and property without even being asked, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Cleanup and haul-away of the old units and pipes was done thoroughly; we didn't have any cleanup to do after they left. How refreshing! Mike and his team were also unfailingly friendly and respectful. Mike even checked in a couple of times over the next couple of weeks to see how the units were performing. They are working great; much better than our old setup. We plan to have Mike back in the Spring for a system checkup, and we couldn't recommend Mike and his team more strongly. I can't say enough good things about Airmax. Mike did the most custom professional job I could have ever imagined. We did a central air system for a 3 bedroom, 2000 square foot apartment on the lower east side of manhattan. I had 7 different HVAC companies come to the apartment before I hired Airmax and every single one of them acted like my job was impossible. When Mike came he assured me he could do the job and he absolutely delivered and more. He did custom ducts throughout the entire apartment, Mike (the owner) was on the job site EVERY single day with his workers. He is a true perfectionist and I couldn't be more thankful for that. My air conditioner in my bedroom had stopped working. Mike responded immediately. He told me he would have to come out to give me an accurate assessment. This on the hottest day of the heatwave that we just had in New York. It was 100 degrees or more. He and his helper were here in less than an hour. He showed me the broken fan in the unit and said when this happens it is best to replace the unit. He said when I heard your voice I could tell you were elderly and there was no way I would let you remain without an air conditioner in this heat. I asked him if he could replace it TODAY! He said he would try. In about 1 hour he and his assistant were back at my house with a BRAND NEW AIR CONDITIONER AND INSTALLED IT IMMEDIATELY AND THE PRICE FOR THE WHOLE JOB ABSOLUTELY AMAZED ME.
