I've seen this place for many years but they are only open in the evenings. Well, today we were worn out from the heat and decided to give them a try since they are so close to home. Ordered on line (easy), waited, and then drove the 5 mins for takeout. Got home and, WOW, their pizza is great!!! We had their special with pepperoni, sausage, and veggies. I have driven by this place 100's of times and never had the desire to give them a go. This day was different, normally I would go to the competition across the street but today was the day to try something new. I can say that going forward this will be my go to pizza place. What a fool for not trying them sooner. I did speak with the owner and he is correct, there is a difference between his pizza and the one across the street. But taste wise, this pizza at Sgt. pepperonis is far superior. We picked up an order of meatballs, cheese bread, and an everything pizza. I was amazed that everything was piping hot as soon as it hit our table. No sitting there waiting to be brought out. So hot we had to suffer through the smells while waiting for it all to cool so we could handle it. The meatballs were juicy and flavorful with a nice marinara sauce, and not buried in cheese which is good. The cheese bread was hands down one of the best, garlicky and savory with the perfect amount cheese on a soft yet crunchy delicious dough. For me, sausage on a pizza is the tell tail for good pizza, juicy, savory, packed full of flavor. They know how to sauce a pizza, not overly sauced, but the sauce was delicious too. I called after an hour and 30minutes at 5:10pm for an update due to me and my two toddlers starving. They told me it would be another 30 minutes. What a joke. Don't recommend delivery whatsoever and for the business I'd hope they'd work on it or not offer it. read more

This is a great mid priced pizza for the quality you get. The crust is not to thin and not to thick. The cheese and the pepperoni are just right too. Goldilocks would like this Pizza! My family and I will eat Sgt Pepperonis a couple times a month easy! It does annoy me that they always say their credit card reader is having problems and ask for cash. I get it. They have to pay the credit card company for every transaction. Be honest, if you want cash payments, then offer some sort of cash discount. Ok... so I am an in-patient at a hospice facility here in Northern Tucson. Since I am not mobile, I'll order pizza once or twice a month to keep myself in tune w the outside world and to break the cycle of eating the same thing for dinner ever night! The pizza here is outstanding. It's mostly a carry-out/delivery place but it's worth it to get the pizza and take it home. The crust as the perfect balance between thin and hand tossed style and the toppings have always been fresh. It tastes a lot more "homemeade" than the chain pizza places. I also really like their Toasted Salami Sandwich. Sometimes I can't decide which one to order so I just get pizza AND a sandwich. Sometimes their estimated cook times are too short and I've arrived only to have to wait longer, but it's still worth it. read more

We did end up waiting about 5 minutes longer than they said for pickup but that was no problem! I definitely don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for great pizza. Some pizza places are so skimpy on the toppings, but I'm happy to report that's not the case here! The crust was just the right amount of crispy (we got thin crust). My husband and I both decided it was one of our favorite Tucson pizzas. The price was under $30 for a large 5 topping pizza. I like the location because it's near our home and some of our family's regular activities. 3. The staff is friendly when we've gone in to wait for a pizza! The inside of the shop is small, and not set up to eat inside. But like I said, friendly! 4. The cheesy bread stuff is super tasty and they have a solid pepperoni pizza. The salads are a decent size for the price! My salad was a good temperature and none of it was soggy. I really appreciate a good salad with my pizza :) 5. They deliver! Within a certain distance. DEFINITELY call to order your pizza. I paid a $2.00 delivery fee on top of a $7.00 tip only to be notified my pizza would take just about an hour to deliver. Great news is that I called and they said I could pick it up in 30 min. No refund though. Just a 2 liter soda. Pizza was good. Center of the pizza was a little soggy, but it tasted good. Meatballs as an appetizer was salty. My antipasto salad was good, ranch a little sweet. Not sure how the workers are working in that location. We ordered takeout from here last night, and I enjoyed it. The Benni cheese bread was pretty much perfect, and the garden salad was ideal with great house dressing and plenty of fresh veggies. Staff were friendly and nice. The pizza was good, I only wish it had more salt/seasoning and the crust wasn't to my personal preference as it was kind of crunchy and hard and I prefer a softer crust. This is our favorite pizza in town!!! Family owned in the NW side, it is The ONLY pizza place we patronize. It is definitely more of a carry out/ delivery establishment. The restaurant is very small with only two small tables inside which appear to be there as more of a waiting area for pick up. Our favorite pie is the Sgt Pepperoni Special - the works with the freshest ingredients. My only complaint is the large size tends to get soggy in the middle very quickly. I picked up a large yesterday - watched as they pulled it out of the oven and by the time I got home (8 minute drive) it was soggy in the middle. It was still delicious tho. They really load their pies with lots of toppings! We normally order a medium and have no issues. I think we will just order 2 mediums instead of a large going forward. Leftover pizza is my favorite breakfast I highly recommend Sgt Pepperoni - it is the BEST pizza in Northwest Tucson!! We are devoted customers for life read more

I've seen this place for a while. Thought I'd give it a try. I was impressed. The medium pizza is more like a large and they were very generous with the toppings. I loved the Italian dressing with the antipasto salad. The hot wings were pretty good. The blue cheese dipping sauce is actually blue cheese dipping sauce and not like others where the blue cheese tastes like ranch. Service was prompt and very nice.
