I've had tea at several tea houses in "The land of tea" China. It's nice to find a place where you can get authentic quality Chinese tea here in Tucson. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of Chinese tea houses since they also have traditional chinese appetizers. Seven Cups is not only a great place for tea it is also a nice quiet place to study. The tea costs more than lipton but you get what you pay for. read more

What a wonderful experience. We were warmly greeted and educated! There is quite a bit to know about Chinese tea and brewing. Beautiful, serene surroundings, excellent tea and tea snacks, including the best moon cakes. read more

What a lovely place to meet friends and relax! The shop is lovely and the staff is so friendly. They truly seem to want to share their knowledge of tea with customers. The menu is long, with many different kinds of tea: black, green, white, oolong, herbal. My husband told the server that his stomach was upset and she directed him to the puer tea. Since I can't drink caffeine after lunch, I had a rose bud tea. Our friends wanted something light and were directed to a white tea--peony, I think. They also ordered a small fruit halva. Everything smelled and tasted delicious. The tea came out in three unique and adorable pots, with matching ceramic cups. Overall, it was a delightful experience. A beautiful little shop with a beautiful atmosphere. It makes you feel good just to enter the space. read more

Really excellent service and by far the best teas I've ever had. Everyone working there was so polite and offered excellent recommendations. The woman who owns the place is so sweet and taught me a lot about tea in general. I'm from San Francisco and visit Chinatown frequently, but even there I haven't had tea as good as this place. It was so flavorful and was a really relaxing environment. read more

I was so impressed with the service and the food here. Everything is elegant and the menu is very authentic. I had a tea egg, which was unlike anything I had ever tried before. I am excited to go try some of the other food items. They have a "sweets" menu as well as heartier snack items, and only a few things in which I have even heard of. Did I mention that they have so many teas to choose from that the tea menu is more like a book than a menu? Amazing and tasteful-very classy. read more

Top 5 favorite places in Tucson!!! Seven Cups is a wonderful place! They have a great knowledge of tea and present you with a book of options. Each tea has a paragraph description of where they come from, what you should expect, and any other little tidbits to help you make your decision. It is like a tea 101 crash course before even ordering. They also can do tea ceremonies which are a lot of fun for birthdays or special occasions. Warning though, it is very easy to spend way too much time here!! Every time I go with a friend I end up leaving 2-3 hours later. Not because of a lack of service or long wait times, I just end up really enjoying myself and always have the best conversations. Must be something in the air! It is a must for any tea lover! read more

This is such a lovely place. So calming in the middle of Tucson. I came here for a pot of tea and left feeling renewed and calm. You will not be disappointed, the service and of course the tea Is wonderful. read more

My husband and myself had heard of Seven Cups from our friend in the White Mountains. We decided to explore this unique and exciting new experience of TEA for ourselves. From the moment we walked into Seven Cups we were in awe. Sam and her kind and sweet personality won us over. She was a world of knowledge and so we decided to bite the bullet and buy a bag of authentic Chinese tea to enjoy at home and on the road. Our experience here at Seven Cups was truly a positive and enlightening eye opening experience! read more

I am a total tea lover!! I've been here twice and it has yet to disappoint me. I ordered the silver dragon pearls tea, one of their delicious deserts, and a savory snack. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the employees are sweethearts! I brought my boyfriend here, who isn't much of a tea drinker, and actually liked the tea as well! 10/10, always recommend. read more

I absolutely love this place. I come here to enjoy a new pot of tea in a relaxing and quiet setting. They have so many types of tea and the history about each if you want it. All employees are well versed in the teas and will help you find the one you would like. Their food is small and snack like. Not necessarily enough for a lunch but great for in-between meals or as a desert. I have seen many collage students come here to study or relax. They do have free Wi-Fi connection if you want to sit and enjoy you tea here or you can find your favorite tea and take it home with you. Any way you put it this place is great. I hope that you will enjoy it as well. read more

Only Chinese tea house in Tucson that I know of. HUGE selection of teas, oolong, puer, green, black, etc. I try a different one each time, and I keep a log in my phone to remember which ones I liked. They also have some interesting snacks to try, would recommend the moon cake. read more

I was introduced to this place by a tea-fanatic friend and I was thoroughly impressed. I love the atmosphere here: dark wood, soothing music and overall very serene. Besides the wide variety of authentic teas, I really have to mention how delectable the tea snacks are. I've tried the something-daifuku (the green mochi,) chofu, matcha cookies and seasonal matcha ice cream and they were all excellent. read more

Seven Cups - Tea Rooms Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I visit this place about once a week with a couple of other tea-loving girlfriends. Upon entering this jewel of a tea shop, you immediately feel calm and relaxed. The decor is lovely and Eastern, and the tea is even better. Every variety of Chinese, Japanese, etc. teas can be found, along with yummy little sweets and snacks and some amazing green tea gelato. I was told on my most recent visit that even the large-crystal sugar is imported from China, so authenticity is a priority here. The prices are on the high side, ranging from about $3 to $9 for a single pot of tea, but there are plenty of hot water refills and you can taste the absolute quality. From one pot I usually end up drinking -- gosh -- about seven cups! A wonderful place to sit for a couple hours, unwind, tell secrets, or just enjoy the moment. read more

Very very chill environment. There were people of all types there, including students studying. Quiet place. The menu is like a book, and reading the descriptions can be quite entertaining. Honestly, I didn't think the teas were particularly special, but they were good. None of the three of us were especially impressed, though, which is why i give it a 4 instead of a 5. Each of us got our own little pot of tea, which they refill with hot water. The staff is attentive and do not rush you at all. It is a very relaxing environment. We didn't eat anything, but I will likely go back and try one of their sweets another time while enjoying a cup of tea! read more

This is hands down my favorite place we went to on our Tucson vacation. Seven Cups is such a wonderful authentic Chinese tea room. I usually go here with my Aunt and we can easily spend hours here drinking tea and chatting. The decor is calm and relaxing. It really feels like you're stepping into another place, outside of Tucson. I haven't been recently, but in the past the staff was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Good thing, because there are so many varieties of teas to try, you'll need some help to make a decision. They have a nice selection of snacks, as well. Very high quality tea, which you can also purchase to take home. I love this place. If you haven't been, go! The whole experience of coming to Seven Cups is one that should be had by all! I leave feeling rejuvenated. read more

I've been to something like 50 to 100 tea houses in my day and I can say this unequivocally: This is literally the best place to drink Chinese tea outside of China (and it beats tons of Chinese tea houses by a mile). Don't sleep on this place, Tusconans. read more

On the prowl for a tea set so that my friend and I could do "high tea" like the Windsors, we found a gorgeous porcelain set here. We wanted a packed set and not the display model, though, and were told that if we were worried about our set having been handled, that the packed sets had also been handled (?). Two tea samples were offered as we shopped, and when we asked which was sweeter we were told "I'm not the one to ask. I come from a family of diabetics." Crickets chirped. We felt as if our lack of knowledge about tea in general wasn't appreciated as a teaching opportunity for the experts here, and we left feeling a bit deflated about our Windsor pinkie-in-the-air fantasy read more

Such a tranquil place to sip fantastic tea. It's very quiet and serene, great for reading or a chat one-on-one with a friend. It is a bit on the pricey side, but you get an entire pot to yourself general and so it's worth going if you have time for a leisurely hour or two. They have interesting pastry options, I actually didn't like them all that much but they're pretty and if you like Japanese desserts you'll be happy. read more

Seven Cups is AMAZING! They had such an extensive tea list it was hard to choose, but our waitress was very helpful! We ordered a pot of the Palace Puer and some beautiful desserts. We loved the tea we had so much that we bought a bag to take home. The interior was beautiful and was filled with some outstanding tea sets, which were pricey but well worth the money. We were also surprised that they had tea workshop and free tastings. We will definitely be back! read more

What an amazing place! The Chinese tea selection is extensive. There are jars of tea available so you can smell the tea before purchasing it. The clerk in the store was super knowledgeable and kind. There are free samples to taste as well. The prices for tea are GREAT compared to other tea shops I've frequented. There's even a tea communal area in the back where they host local ethnic talent and tea gatherings. There are many tea accessories available as well. read more

Many years ago, I was invited to celebrate Mother's Day with some very sweet women. That was my introduction to this gem of a spot, along with the amazing world of Chinese Tea. The owner, Zhuping, made me feel very comfortable and I learned to enjoy tea more. Today, this is my favorite in-town oasis for tea, meeting up with friends and family. Everyone who works at the teahouse is graceful, courteous, serviceful and is willing to take time to explain something about the tea we order. There are so many to choose from. If you really want to learn, there are Tea Classes! They also have the most amazing teaware. Thank you to Lenaie, Huay, Sarah, Tiffany and of course, Zhuping. read more

7 Cups Teahouse is a Tucson treasure. I went with my son to the free tea tasting they are doing on Fridays this month (April), I don't know how often they do those but they are awesome. The tea house itself is comfortable and just walking in there brings the stress level down a few notches. The staff is very friendly and Zhuping, knows EVERYTHING about tea and loves to share! It's definitely one of my favorite places to meet friends and spend an afternoon sipping delicious teas and munching on mochi. They also have an amazing collection of tea ware. Watch out though, once you start going, you'll likely fall in love and then it becomes a dangerous place! It's hard to walk out without a new tea to try or one more little tea pot or cup you just HAVE to have. read more

Serene and delightful. The variety of tea is overwhelming and you'll need multiple visits. The pastries are also very good.

This is such a unique and lovely place to meet friends, order your favorite tea or experiment as there are many many choices from which to choose. The ambiance is quiet, serene-a place to take a load off. There are an incredible number of tea pots and related tea items in the "dining" room, the furniture is a little formal and well cared for. The wait staff is so helpful when it comes to helping you to choose and, depending upon the tea you order, they may very well serve it up for you and teach you how to get the very best aroma and flavor from your choice. Some teas are "flowering" and look just gorgeous when water is added to the dry blossom. Beautiful to see. They also serve some little Japanese savory and sweet goodies to enjoy along with the tea should you desire. In the summer they offer iced teas in addition to the hot ones and they are all so refreshing. Now, in the front of the shop is a room FULL of teas for purchase as gifts or just for yourself and again the staff is only too happy to educate us. They also offer tastings and classes. Check out their website. Again, I think we are so lucky to have a shop/tea parlor like this here. read more

I am absolutely lucky that I live in Tucson, and have the ability to enjoy Seven Cups whenever I want! If I did not already have a job I'm in love with, I'd throw it all away just to apprentice with the owners. A rare place for a respite in Tucson, whether it's hot or cold out. Great for chatting with friends, reading a favorite book, or asking lots of questions about tea. I highly recommend the Friday Night tea classes! read more

This is a small place but attractive place. It is a serene setting and students with their laptops seem to frequent it. The service is excellent and especially nice given the large amount of choices. The Lady, Hui, who was our server was most helpful in telling us about the various teas, what they are good for, and how long they need to steam. She did a tasting for our group of 12 of two of the teas and was gracious about answering questions. The tea comes in a pot and they are happy to add more hot water when you have finished. They do have some nice snacks. I had the steamed buns that had barbecued pork in the center. They were quite good-a bit sweet and not particularly spicy. The gelato looked good and the person that had it enjoyed it. It was a scoop of pineapple and a scoop of green tea. Other snacks included a plate of dried fruit, shrimp dumplings, and some other dishes. You can purchase bags of tea and get assistance in choosing the one that suits you. It was a nice experience. read more

Great tasting natural teas. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Cozy location. I must come back.

I didn't get what I expected on my first visit to Seven Cups and that's a wonderful thing. I sat down for tea and snacks on a weekday afternoon. This was recommended to me by my mom. Don't let this last confession be of a turnoff to you... this place is awesome! I'm hooked on teas! My favorite is any type of oolong tea. If you want good tea in Tucson this is the place. They have an excellent selection of oolong and pu-ert teas. These are fine teas. If you want something to make great ice tea just buy Mighty Leaf at Supermarket or Whole Foods. Plus it is fun to go there and enjoy tea in a pleasant environment that just seems right for tea.
