I am very impressed with the resolution that came from my previous one star rating. I'm still upset that their initial reaction was to cancel my appointment before the provided timeframe. And I don't find it safe to answer medical questions on FaceTime while driving ever, even for a "less than 30 seconds". The service itself was fantastic. I had no adverse reactions to my underarms or upper lip several days after being lasered by Jessica. She was very kind and patient. She even triple checked my curology prescription to ensure that the chemicals are not included in the list of ingredients to avoid prior to lasering. The front desk woman was also kind and I didn't feel any sense of passive aggressiveness or uptight attitude seeing to it that my new appointment was notated accordingly. I will not remove my previous review for awareness because it was a true event that did happen to me before even receiving the service. But I will be returning for some follow up sessions in the hopes of seeing long-term results. read more

I have no idea why it took me so long to try out laser! Before the appointment you get a FaceTime call from the nurse asking you various questions regarding the documents that you filled out which was very quick. The location is slightly hidden but if you see corner bakery (eatery) it's right next to it. Once inside you are greeted by the amazing staff, if it's your first time they'll ask for a copy of your identification. Then you meet your wonderful nurse practitioner who explains the process and does a patch test before beginning. I had very little discomfort and it was much quicker than waxing, you won't regret it. Once done your told of the aftercare and you can set it your next appointment before leaving. read more

Unfortunately, I too, have noticed a decline in customer service amongst the nurses. There is always a different nurse with different prep expectations. I was initially denied service because the nurse stated I'm required to shave one week before a touch up. Never had I been advised to do so. I was previously told for over a year that I shouldn't shave for touch ups so the nurse can see the trouble areas. When initially starting laser treatments for the first time, I was told to shave 24-48 hours prior to my appointment. I was surprised to be refused service based on expectations that were not clearly nor consistently communicated to me. However, the front desk staff advocated for me and recommended a second opinion. A second nurse reviewed my area, shaved and provided the service with more reasonable expectations. I also agree that nurses seem afraid to touch the bikini areas. I have pondered if I'm receiving adequate service in the bikini area given the price and reluctance to touch me properly that is. I hope SEV Laser considers our experiences and makes changes. Their services are more expensive than other companies and I've contemplated finding another company for the sake of proper guidance, customer service and a nurse that's comfortable touching me. read more

My last review read as follows "Not a bad place but I don't recommend full body treatments. You aren't actually paying for full body instead you're paying for an hour of laser which is a waste of money because that isn't enough time to get each area. I'm 5'2 and we were only able to get a few areas which added up to 435$ worth of areas but l paid the full 500 since I booked full body. Total rip off." I have now lowered my rating to one star because unfortunately after contacting this so called "business" I was told I could be refunded or get those areas done later on. After reaching out again to book my appointment I was refused service. This is incredibly unfortunate given I was more than understanding when charged 200 dollars extra and received very rude response from staff when I asked for the original deposit to be returned since I was being over charged for 2 separate deposits. read more

Very friendly staff and clean location. Slightly hard to find since it's in a fairly large plaza, but they send very detailed directions the day before which helped tremendously. Friendly but technically not the best. The laser technicians need more training. They rush the laser over the treatment areas. They miss many hairy spots. Most of the time (I've had appts with different technicians) and they all act like they're scared to get close to your bikini area. Staff is very unprofessional and rude. If I'm paying for a service I should be treated with courtesy. The nurse who did my last laser treatment was very demanding and snippy with rules. I did everything I was advised to do prior to my appointment, but was told otherwise. Also, being charged a cancellation fee because one area cannot be treated is absurd. They're always short staffed and demand customers to come in at a different time the day before their appointment. This was my first time getting laser hair removal, and it was honestly the most comforting and best experience ever! Both the receptionist and the nurse were really nice and assuring. I am definitely coming back here for the rest of my sessions! Also pricing is fair/good. The location is a bit tricky but when they say it's behind the cafe bakery, it's LITERALLY behind it lol. I'm glad I went sooner because I was having trouble finding it, but I got there just in time. Also the pain was very minimal, less than waxing (for me). Also, Rylie made sure to ask me frequently if the pain was tolerable. It literally isn't painless, they use a machine that blows cold air while the laser is on(something like that). So...riddle me this...I was late literally 4 minutes yesterday and was told that I might not be able to have my 2 services done (bikini & upper lip), in spite of the fact that the nurse assigned to me was not yet ready to take me in. Which means...drumroll...I can NEVER be late but the nurse can? How does that work? I have been late up to 20 minutes at other laser clinics and I am still received warmly. They just tell me that they will squeeze me in between the other clients. Life happens, we live in LA, we face traffic, our flights arrive late, and who knows what else can happen but Jesus, not even 4 minutes late? She said it was because my appointment slot is only 10 minutes long. Well that's strange, because if that is in fact the truth, you would think there would never be anyone in the waiting room and I know I've waited several times. How can the nurses be late and we have to just sit there but if we are late so much as 4 minutes we face penalization. Who needs that kind of pressure or stress??? I also find it strange that my gf had an appointment 10 minutes before mine, was also a few minutes late, but my being late was only the first time either of us learned this news. Maybe appointments should be 15 minutes long to factor in a 5 minute grace period for client or nurse. Or when setting appointments lead with that information from the beginning because you can literally be late 4 minutes, just about anywhere else in life, and not be penalized for it. Almost everything has a grace period. Just a thought. With my nurse being 2 minutes LATER than me that left me with 6 minutes of service? Be serious. That's literally just laughable. Do you know anyone, including yourself, who is NEVER late? Don't worry I'll wait. The laser removal service itself is great compared to my experience at other places so I recommend it if you can be bothered with that level of stupidity. PS. First time to this location , I got here 10 mins early as they request I waited an hour before deciding to leave. Keep in mind my appt was scheduled at 10:35am , they open at 10 and I was the 6th patient . When I first checked in I was told they were running 5-10 mins behind but an hour later I'm still waiting . This is unacceptable they schedule everyone 5 mins apart when it takes 15 mins per person minimum . I just found this out today . They wasted my time . But if I was to be late they would of canceled my appt it's a service if you expect us to show up early at least consider that our time is valuable as well! read more
