I cannot recommend LaserAway in Huntington Beach enough. This is such a talented group of individuals, and every experience I've had there has been amazing. I've gotten lip filler twice along with several SkinPen microneedling treatments, and they have never let me down. The nurse I always request is Azra, and she is absolutely incredible. She is so supportive while also giving honest, professional advice, and she always leads you in the right direction. Although the issue involved the Huntington Beach location and was not her responsibility, she listened patiently, acknowledged my concerns, and offered thoughtful solutions. Her kindness and professionalism genuinely made my day better. The contrast was striking. The earlier communication felt more like a high school student casually arranging a hangout than a professional spa providing services costing hundreds of dollars per visit. Having dealt with many luxury retailers and high-end service providers, perhaps my expectations are relatively high, but I don't believe basic courtesy and professionalism should be considered exceptional. A sincere apology and a thoughtfully worded message could have easily prevented this entire situation. Instead, one person left me feeling dismissed, while another, who wasn't even responsible, went out of her way to help. That difference in attitude and professionalism speaks volumes. Original Review: I started visiting the Huntington Beach location because the parking was more convenient. Unfortunately, the customer service has been incredibly disappointing. Out of the three appointments I've scheduled at this location, two have been subject to last-minute rescheduling requests just one day before the appointment. What makes this even more frustrating is that they had already sent me multiple confirmation texts beforehand, all of which I responded to promptly. I book my appointments days in advance and arrange my schedule accordingly. Yet, in the middle of the day, just one day before my appointment, I receive casually worded messages such as, "Hi, can you please come at 2 tomorrow?" or even "Never mind." No explanation for why my appointment needs to be changed, no acknowledgment that I booked well in advance, and not even a simple apology for the inconvenience. The lack of professionalism in these messages is astonishing, especially for a business in the spa and wellness industry, where customer service should be a priority. What made the experience even worse was my phone call to the location. The employee I spoke with did not apologize a single time. I asked whether they could make a note on my account to avoid requesting last-minute changes in the future, or whether they would simply prefer that I stop visiting their location altogether. His response? "Oh, I don't have an answer for that." He then immediately asked, "Is there anything else?" When I said no, he simply hung up. No apology, no attempt to resolve the issue, and absolutely no interest in retaining a customer. I have visited many spas over the years, and this is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. The staff's attitude was shockingly dismissive, careless, and unprofessional. It genuinely felt as though I was dealing with employees who had received little to no customer service training and had absolutely no interest in doing their jobs properly. Convenient parking means nothing when the service is this poor. I would much rather go somewhere that respects its customers' time, communicates professionally, and understands the most basic principles of customer service. I am honestly devastated by the results of my full-body laser hair removal. At the beginning, I was told that I was a good candidate based on my skin and hair color and that I should expect roughly a 10% decrease after each session. I ended up paying for 8-11 sessions and noticed no change in some areas. In others, where I originally felt there was a some decrease, maybe 20-30%, the hair started coming back a few months after I finished my treatments. I remember the front-desk lady saying every single time that she had 13 sessions and had absolutely no hair at all, so I figured maybe I would see more of a decrease toward the end. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. At this current moment, some areas have a 15% decrease, some have no decrease, and some i'd say the hair is more pronounced than it was before and this is after all of my 8 full body sessions + 3 more for brazilian and underarm. I reached out to customer service by email about my experience and requested a partial refund, since it was a lot of money. After an entire month, I finally got a response from someone over the phone who said, "Sorry it didn't work for you, but that's not our fault." It's honestly pretty sad that such a large company wouldn't offer anything when their service clearly didn't work as promised. DO NOT COME HERE FOR LIP FILLER!!! Ive previously had lip filler treatments done before at Liquid Beauty HB (last one done 4 years ago) but wanted to give Laser Away a try. Before beginning, Joey confirmed she didn't feel any leftover filler in my lips. I began to feel hesitant seeing how long the procedure was taking just to do 1 syringe of Juvederm XC filler. It took around 45 minutes before we ran into issues. Joey mentioned there was a lump of new filler on my top lip that she should be able to message out. This was very painful. She then became nervous and asked "Did you feel a burst or something? And I said what? Then she responded by saying that she was "just going to message the PA on the SLACK app really quick". I had no idea what was happening! She then left the room and returned saying she has a remote PA on video chat that needs to check if I got a Vascular Occlusion caused by the filler injection! When I looked in the mirror I panicked! They took SEVERAL videos and I spoke with the PA virtually who stated "in their observation that it may just be a very VERY bad HEMATOMA! But if it was a Vascular Occulusion and circulation was not being provided to areas of my lips, I would have to go to Urgent care because it would be considered "a medical emergency!" Nurse Joey suggested that I can have the filler dissolved immediately which would lower my chances of complications and I agreed to just dissolve it, HOWEVER the PA on video chat advised that we "give it some time as there has already been A LOT OF TRAUMA caused to my lips". I was very scared! I then stated that I wanted a refund! Joey advised that I speak with the front desk. The front desk said they would reach out to Tashina in regards to a refund. I also asked to schedule an appointment the next day to have someone check out my injured lips, praying that it wasnt a Vascular Occlusion. The next day 3/21/26, I was examined by Nurse Angie who's manner showed that she was more experienced. She was kind and attentive and was the 1ST person at Laser Away to apologize for my experience. She then took videos and stepped out. She then returned with another staff member who held her phone to take video while she lifted up my lip and massaged it to feel for any lumps, along with constantly pressing on my lip for 3 seconds at a time to show that my lips returned back to normal color after being pressed. The messaging and compressions were painful. Then they both left. THEN they came back a 2nd time to take ANOTHER video. I began to panic again. Angie noticed I was so nervous and said, we are just taking this 2nd video because the PA on SLACK needed better lighting. When they returned a 3RD time, they stated the remote PA (different than the one on the previous day) thought it was a bad hematoma and to take Arnica tablets and/or cream and to apply a warm compress every hour. But to make sure to look for any areas of gray or any intense pain or tingling. Then I was sent on my way. Still very scared and concerned. It has now been a week and I still have bruising on my lips AND upper lip! It is unacceptable to have these huge hematomas from mishandling of my lips! Some bruising is expected, but NOT FULL ON HEMATOMAS!!! Before leaving, I requested for the manager to call me so that I could speak about my experience. I had to called Laser Away on Monday 3/23 to check if my correct contact info was provided because I was never contacted. I was then finally contacted by Lynette the Regional Manager. She was pleasant on the phone and stated that she was sorry that my 1st experience at Laser Away was not as expected and mentioned that she would make sure Joey received additional training in areas that needed improvement. She offered a free Hydrafacial but honestly I am extremely traumatized being there. It is very unfortunate because I wanted to give LaserAway a chance and even talked my husband into booking a Botox appointment that weekend with LaserAway but this whole nightmare experience scared him away enough to cancel. Lynette said she would refund my husband's payment and 5 days later, still NO REFUND received! Lynette also stated that despite my whole experience, I COULD NOT get a refund as the services were already rendered, even though I had asked for a REFUND IMMEDIATELY at my 1ST appointment when i was LITERALLY IN THE ROOM! It has been a week now and I have been taking Arnica cream and tablets and been applying warm cloths periodically. I feel so self conscious about all the bruising that I have to cover it up with lipstick and foundation. Worried that ppl may think im getting physically abused when in reality this was all caused by Laser Away. Not to mention the money I had to spend on Arnica tablets and cream!!! It is very scary that they do not have Physician Assistants on site to assess situations like this!!! Overall a great first time experience coming here. I just had my first underarm treatment, so I'll definitely update my review on a month to month basis. I've been trying to find a place to do my underarm treatment and am glad I found Laserway through Yelp. After reading reviews, I decided to treat myself before the holiday season and scheduled a consultation call. It was a simple and quick process, you do the questionnaire on their website and within minutes someone calls you to go over the steps, cost, prescreen question, and scheduling of appointment. You can with prepay before your appointment for convenience which is what I did. They will send you pre and post care instructions, so make sure to read the literature before you go in and revisit afterwards. Upon arrival, you check in with the front desk staff and then wait in the lobby for a clinical nurse to come get you. I had the pleasure of meeting Dana who helped me during my first session. She was super friendly and made me feel comfortable before we got started. I was definitely nervous, but she reassured me that it was quick and simple which was an understatement. The actual lasering took less than 5 minutes. People tend to ask what it feels like, so let me try and describe it. There is cold air blowing while the nurse is lasering. For me personally, I felt a little sting, heard a lot of beeping noise, and felt the air blowing more than the actual laser. However, there were parts on my underarm that I did notice was a little more sensitive when I would feel the laser penetrating. It stings but not unbearable and Dana was fast with the process while talking me through it, so definitely helpful. Lastly, you do smell the hair burning and that's the part I found most unpleasant. I walked into laser away with questions about Botox . Within 15 mins Libby had me Approved and financed $1400 . She told me i would look great and love it . We tried To schedule for that day or the next - i explained i have children . So i call and ask for a refund ; and Libby calls me back and basically calls me stupid , saying i signed all the consent forms , i gave them a copy of my ID , and blah blah blah . she told me i could have store credit ONLY . I asked for corporates number where she tried to not give it to me . It took 72 hours for "corporate" to get back to me and ISSUE A REFUND in 30 SECONDS . Great injector, but they do not dissolve filler if it's not a medical emergency. Due to years of filler without ever dissolving, my filler started to migrate. Also, the smile line filler I had was a tad too much so I had a visible bump. No big deal, just need to get these dissolved to restart. Understandable, as filler doesn't dissolve 100% on its own. Ended up going to one of the many med-spas I called who all originally suggested I get it dissolved by my injector, and said quite often it's complimentary. Paid $300 to get the smile lines dissolved. Will go back another day to do lips, which will cost $600 with possible follow ups It's just interesting that despite people/influencers going in to get theirs dissolved (YouTube) it's not available to the general public. It seems like it's more of a company thing. I'll most likely go somewhere else in the future because of this. read more

When I arrived for the first time I talked to Susie the manager and I was very clear about what I was looking for when doing the treatment which is what made me most sad to see my face with those stains she promised me that with the sessions she was going to remove them but the mere truth the treatments are a lot of money so that they don't remove the stains they want one to be getting into debt to clean you half an hour is to numb your face and only 5 to 7 minutes they last doing the laser and from there 5 minutes the mask and I was the same of my face they wanted me to put one another they don't even know they sold me vitamin C for dry skin and oily skin I told them that I did not occupy the one that was for oily skin but she said she could no longer return it very expensive and I didn't like it read more

Just wanted to provide an update to give Thy (not sure I spelled right) a HUGE shoutout! I wasn't exactly looking forward to my tattoo removal treatments bc they're usually so painful but I told this to her and she made some helpful aftercare recommendations and made sure I had enough time to numb. She showed me the pics of my tattoo before I started my sessions for a little motivation boost and she gave me cortisone creams and said if I ran out I could always come back for more! She treated it like it was my first time and took her time and didn't rush, giving me consistent reassurance that I could make myself comfortable on the chair and gave me a few objects to hold. She applied an ice pack and cold air for a few minutes before she even started the treatment so I would be extra numbed. Then when she used the laser she did countdowns between pulses so I would know when to inhale/exhale. Then afterwards she gave me a hug :')) She was just sooo sweet, experienced, professional, patient, and empathetic! It wasn't my first time getting this but it was the first time I had no pain at all during this treatment and I was so shook at how painless and gentle it felt compared to normally. She also recommended I try spacing out my sessions more to give maximum results and was genuinely caring about me and my health rather than trying to make sales. I used to go to SEV for laser hair removal and it was just not cutting it. I am not normally one to write reviews but a glowing LaserAway review is well deserved! First off, all the staff is so sweet and welcoming when you walk in. Both locations I have visited have been luxurious and modern when you walk in. Secondly, and this is a huge one, their nurses (especially Nurse Melissa) are so friendly and easy to talk to! You would think going in and lying down spread eagle would be the most uncomfortable thing to do in front of a stranger, but the nurses are so friendly that it's not bother! I just went last week and saw Nurse Melissa for Brazilian, underarm and my first (of many) Botox treatments. She was INCREDIBLE!! I will be requesting to see her every visit moving forward! Seriously she was so fun and easy to get along with! She chatted with me the whole time and made me feel so so comfortable throughout the whole process!! Kudos to her, she's a rockstar! I've been back for several other LHR treatments now as well as IPL, and Clear and Brilliant facials and Xeomin injections. All four of the nurses I've seen for my treatments, Thaomy, Kacy, Tanya, and Jessica have been absolutely wonderful about making sure I'm comfortable before they start my treatments. They're also fantastic about distracting me during Xeomin injections (I HATE needles they freak me out) and any time the LHR stings as the intensity goes up each treatment, or the IPL feels warm. When I discovered that the Clear and Brilliant didn't work for me Kacy helped me discover the IPL and how it may work better for me. These girls are all so wonderful at what they do! read more

Excellent location in Bella Terra Huntington Beach. I was visiting family and decided to get one of my clear and brilliant laser facials done. My go to salon is in Beverly Hills however it's nice to know Laser Away is consistent with their standards at other locations. This location was immaculate. Front desk associate was pleasant, and timely. She took me back to begin numbing within minutes of arriving. Nurse Tee is just a gem. She was informative throughout performing the procedure. She also gave excellent tips for after and maintenance care. One feedback for the staff, and I'm sure it was because it was a late appointment but nonetheless please ensure bathrooms are well stocked with TP for your customers. I could understand a 5-10 min wait but 30 mins!! With zero consideration of your time then come in and join!
