My experience with LaserAway has been one of the most disappointing customer experiences I've had. I sought treatment for a very small sun spot and was sold an IPL treatment plan. During my consultation, I was told that because the spot was so minimal, it would likely take only three treatments to achieve the desired result. Based on that representation, I decided to move forward. After completing two treatments, I have seen absolutely no improvement whatsoever. Not a slight improvement, not a minor change, nothing. What made the situation even more frustrating was management's response when I raised my concerns. Instead of addressing the fact that I was originally told three treatments would be sufficient, I was informed that results may take anywhere from six to ten treatments. Had that been disclosed during my consultation, I would have made a very different decision about proceeding with treatment. Cosmetic procedures are expensive, and clients rely on the expertise and honesty of the providers making treatment recommendations. Being told one thing during the sales process and something completely different after raising concerns is unacceptable. Rather than standing behind their recommendation or working toward a fair resolution, I was met with resistance and a lack of accountability. I followed the treatment plan exactly as advised and am left with the same issue I started with and no results to show for the money and time spent. If you're considering LaserAway, I strongly recommend getting multiple opinions and asking detailed questions in writing before committing to any treatment package. DO NOT COME HERE FOR LIP FILLER!!! Ive previously had lip filler treatments done before at Liquid Beauty HB (last one done 4 years ago) but wanted to give Laser Away a try. Before beginning, Joey confirmed she didn't feel any leftover filler in my lips. I began to feel hesitant seeing how long the procedure was taking just to do 1 syringe of Juvederm XC filler. It took around 45 minutes before we ran into issues. Joey mentioned there was a lump of new filler on my top lip that she should be able to message out. This was very painful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She then became nervous and asked "Did you feel a burst or something? And I said what? Then she responded by saying that she was "just going to message the PA on the SLACK app really quick".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had no idea what was happening![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She then left the room and returned saying she has a remote PA on video chat that needs to check if I got a Vascular Occlusion caused by the filler injection! When I looked in the mirror I panicked! They took SEVERAL videos and I spoke with the PA virtually who stated "in their observation that it may just be a very VERY bad HEMATOMA! But if it was a Vascular Occulusion and circulation was not being provided to areas of my lips, I would have to go to Urgent care because it would be considered "a medical emergency!" Nurse Joey suggested that I can have the filler dissolved immediately which would lower my chances of complications and I agreed to just dissolve it, HOWEVER the PA on video chat advised that we "give it some time as there has already been A LOT OF TRAUMA caused to my lips". I was very scared! I then stated that I wanted a refund! Joey advised that I speak with the front desk. The front desk said they would reach out to Tashina in regards to a refund. I also asked to schedule an appointment the next day to have someone check out my injured lips, praying that it wasnt a Vascular Occlusion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The next day 3/21/26, I was examined by Nurse Angie who's manner showed that she was more experienced. She was kind and attentive and was the 1ST person at Laser Away to apologize for my experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She then took videos and stepped out. She then returned with another staff member who held her phone to take video while she lifted up my lip and massaged it to feel for any lumps, along with constantly pressing on my lip for 3 seconds at a time to show that my lips returned back to normal color after being pressed. The messaging and compressions were painful. Then they both left. THEN they came back a 2nd time to take ANOTHER video. I began to panic again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Angie noticed I was so nervous and said, we are just taking this 2nd video because the PA on SLACK needed better lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When they returned a 3RD time, they stated the remote PA (different than the one on the previous day) thought it was a bad hematoma and to take Arnica tablets and/or cream and to apply a warm compress every hour. But to make sure to look for any areas of gray or any intense pain or tingling. Then I was sent on my way. Still very scared and concerned. It has now been a week and I still have bruising on my lips AND upper lip! It is unacceptable to have these huge hematomas from mishandling of my lips! Some bruising is expected, but NOT FULL ON HEMATOMAS!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before leaving, I requested for the manager to call me so that I could speak about my experience. It has been a week now and I have been taking Arnica cream and tablets and been applying warm cloths periodically. I feel so self conscious about all the bruising that I have to cover it up with lipstick and foundation. Worried that ppl may think im getting physically abused when in reality this was all caused by Laser Away. Not to mention the money I had to spend on Arnica tablets and cream!!! Overall a great first time experience coming here. I just had my first underarm treatment, so I'll definitely update my review on a month to month basis. I've been trying to find a place to do my underarm treatment and am glad I found Laserway through Yelp. After reading reviews, I decided to treat myself before the holiday season and scheduled a consultation call. It was a simple and quick process, you do the questionnaire on their website and within minutes someone calls you to go over the steps, cost, prescreen question, and scheduling of appointment. You can with prepay before your appointment for convenience which is what I did. They will send you pre and post care instructions, so make sure to read the literature before you go in and revisit afterwards. Upon arrival, you check in with the front desk staff and then wait in the lobby for a clinical nurse to come get you. I had the pleasure of meeting Dana who helped me during my first session. She was super friendly and made me feel comfortable before we got started. I was definitely nervous, but she reassured me that it was quick and simple which was an understatement. The actual lasering took less than 5 minutes. People tend to ask what it feels like, so let me try and describe it. There is cold air blowing while the nurse is lasering. For me personally, I felt a little sting, heard a lot of beeping noise, and felt the air blowing more than the actual laser. However, there were parts on my underarm that I did notice was a little more sensitive when I would feel the laser penetrating. It stings but not unbearable and Dana was fast with the process while talking me through it, so definitely helpful. Lastly, you do smell the hair burning and that's the part I found most unpleasant. Great injector, but they do not dissolve filler if it's not a medical emergency. Due to years of filler without ever dissolving, my filler started to migrate. Also, the smile line filler I had was a tad too much so I had a visible bump. No big deal, just need to get these dissolved to restart. Understandable, as filler doesn't dissolve 100% on its own. Ended up going to one of the many med-spas I called who all originally suggested I get it dissolved by my injector, and said quite often it's complimentary. Paid $300 to get the smile lines dissolved. Will go back another day to do lips, which will cost $600 with possible follow ups It's just interesting that despite people/influencers going in to get theirs dissolved (YouTube) it's not available to the general public. Just wanted to provide an update to give Thy (not sure I spelled right) a HUGE shoutout! I wasn't exactly looking forward to my tattoo removal treatments bc they're usually so painful but I told this to her and she made some helpful aftercare recommendations and made sure I had enough time to numb. She showed me the pics of my tattoo before I started my sessions for a little motivation boost and she gave me cortisone creams and said if I ran out I could always come back for more! She treated it like it was my first time and took her time and didn't rush, giving me consistent reassurance that I could make myself comfortable on the chair and gave me a few objects to hold. She applied an ice pack and cold air for a few minutes before she even started the treatment so I would be extra numbed. Then when she used the laser she did countdowns between pulses so I would know when to inhale/exhale. Then afterwards she gave me a hug :')) She was just sooo sweet, experienced, professional, patient, and empathetic! It wasn't my first time getting this but it was the first time I had no pain at all during this treatment and I was so shook at how painless and gentle it felt compared to normally. She also recommended I try spacing out my sessions more to give maximum results and was genuinely caring about me and my health rather than trying to make sales. I used to go to SEV for laser hair removal and it was just not cutting it. I am not normally one to write reviews but a glowing LaserAway review is well deserved! First off, all the staff is so sweet and welcoming when you walk in. Both locations I have visited have been luxurious and modern when you walk in. Secondly, and this is a huge one, their nurses (especially Nurse Melissa) are so friendly and easy to talk to! You would think going in and lying down spread eagle would be the most uncomfortable thing to do in front of a stranger, but the nurses are so friendly that it's not bother! I just went last week and saw Nurse Melissa for Brazilian, underarm and my first (of many) Botox treatments. She was INCREDIBLE!! I will be requesting to see her every visit moving forward! I've been back for several other LHR treatments now as well as IPL, and Clear and Brilliant facials and Xeomin injections. All four of the nurses I've seen for my treatments, Thaomy, Kacy, Tanya, and Jessica have been absolutely wonderful about making sure I'm comfortable before they start my treatments. They're also fantastic about distracting me during Xeomin injections (I HATE needles they freak me out) and any time the LHR stings as the intensity goes up each treatment, or the IPL feels warm. When I discovered that the Clear and Brilliant didn't work for me Kacy helped me discover the IPL and how it may work better for me. These girls are all so wonderful at what they do! read more
