As shown in the photos, my hyperpigmentation remains, my skin texture has not meaningfully improved, and scarring is still visible. Any brightness I do see does not feel like it's from the laser itself, but rather from the brightening serum provided afterward, which makes the results feel even less attributable to the treatment. While Julia, the nurse, was kind and helpful, my experience with the doctor felt impersonal. The practice operates like a high-end, high-volume machine, where treatments are pushed out efficiently rather than thoughtfully customized. Given the pricing, it felt more transactional than patient-focused. This is a long-overdue review for my laser eyebrow removal sessions with Dr. Phi. After four unsuccessful saline removal attempts on my semi-permanent brows, I decided to try laser removal. It took three sessions, spaced four weeks apart, to go from very dark black brows to bright red and finally back to my natural eyebrows. There's still a slight red tinge near the ends, but it's easily covered with concealer. I'm so glad to have my original brows back, even though they're very sparse. I'm so so happy to have found Dr. Phi. I went in for a consultation for my sun spots and hyperpigmentation treatment back in October. I was referred to him by a friend. I was suffering from freckles, dark spots and hyperpigmentation from acne scars. I went to a med spa in Newport and was quoted $1500 for a laser treatment. They recommended a package of 5-6 treatments for me with a discounted price. I couldn't afford that so I went to Dr. Phi after reading many great reviews. He told me he can get it close to 80% after 3 treatments. He said he also pairs the laser treatment with a Target Cool skin booster to make my skin look brighter and accelerate healing. The special package price was $2700 for 3 laser and 3 skin booster, which was a lot cheaper than what I was quoted at the Newport clinic. And OMG, after just 1 sessions, all my spots are 50% gone and lighter already!!! the first week of healing I was a bit scared since everything got darker, but after 10 days, I loved loved my results and everyone was complimenting how bright my skin is. I just finished my 2nd treatment now and I would say I'm more than happy with the result. Dr. Phi said I can do a fractional laser as the third treatment to help with some scars, which I will. At the end I'm paying half the price of other places that have the same machine and only had to do half of the sessions (instead of 5-6 sessions). I have to thank Phi MD so much for making my skin look so great. I even did botox and Radiesse filler with Dr. Phi too. Other reviews weren't wrong when they said he had great hands.
