I have been a loyal Dr. Laser customer with this location for several years but my recent experiences has pushed me to write this review. I booked a laser hair removal appointment weeks in advance for July 3rd and was told the location would be open. I called multiple times over the last few weeks and left voicemails trying to reach someone, I never got a single callback. I no longer live in the area and booked this appointment my only chance back in town. On the morning of my appointment I called to confirm since I never received a confirmation email or reminder. No one answered. I had to call the Manhattan Beach location just to find out that Costa Mesa was closed. I was never notified. No call, no email, nothing. This location has gone noticeably downhill. It is nearly impossible to reach anyone by phone, and they have switched away from medical grade numbing cream which has made tattoo removal significantly more painful than it used to be. I still have several sessions remaining that I need to use up, but if you are looking for a reliable provider I would honestly recommend going elsewhere. The quality of this location has gone down tremendously and I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone. I have been waiting for an appointment tied to a very special event that has ALREADY HAPPENED due to REPEATED scheduling failures on their end. MULTIPLE of my appts were canceled or rescheduled without adequate notice. The last straw was when I drove 45 mins for an in-person visit only to be denied treatment upon arrival by the nurse. To make matters worse, no one I've spoken to seems to have a clear understanding of what's going on. Nobody communicates with anyone apparently headquarters in Santa Monica but it's like the game "telephone" or the movie "50 first dates" with this company, telling every other person, the same story over and over and over it's a very simple procedure. The team is incredibly disorganized, uncoordinated, & raises serious concerns for me and it should raise concerns for a lot of people. It often reflects a lack of leadership...does your company have active management or employees at this point since you're firing everybody? Is it operating at full capacity? Frankly, it feels like chaos, & as the saying goes: lack of clarity breeds distrust. While I appreciate the offer of a complimentary facial, it does not compensate for the significant time & energy I've spent calling, emailing, texting, repeating my story to different staff members, & driving back & forth. The experience has been unprofessional & extremely disappointing. I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF PYRAMID SCHEME KEEPS PEOPLES MONEY WITHOUT ACTUALLY GIVING THE SERVICE. This place is a complete scam. I have been getting laser tattoo & hair removal for 3 years now and I feel like I have completely wasted my money. I've had touch ups for laser hair removal twice in the last 3 years & it's as if I never received treatments. Being 3 years into laser tattoo removal I expected more results than what I have gotten, and after getting multiple second opinions I've found out that they are not properly treating me, they're borderline scarring me (thank GOD I stopped going before it was too late) and their aftercare instructions were hindering my results. Once when the technician was wrapping up my tattoo, which is basically an open wound after treatment, she ran out of medical tape to go over the gauze so she walked in with SCOTCH TAPE to tape me up. I said no thank you to that & left with just gaze sticking to me. Not to mention their turnover rate for employees is through the roof! Every time I go, I see new faces. I have been told by previous employees that the work environment is toxic and the way they are treated is a complete joke. They're also holding my money hostage refusing to refund me for services I have not and refuse to use due to concerns for my own safety, despite me never signing a no refund policy for the particular transaction. I know their low prices can be enticing, but they're low for a reason! Pay a little more & got to a reputable business who actually cares about your well being!!! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Under NO circumstances should you get serviced here. This location is a joke, and honestly, all of their locations are garbage. The management is beyond incompetent, and Dr. Laser DOES NOT GIVE A SINGLE F* about their patients.** I had to fight tooth and nail just to get basic care. The level of lying, gaslighting, and sheer negligence I experienced is actually unbelievable. The nurses are barely trained before they're thrown in, which is probably why one of them accidentally lasered off my tattoo when I was just getting laser hair removal. And what did they do? Lie to my face, gaslight me, and pretend nothing happened. The nurse didn't even report it. I had to report it myself AFTER getting SECOND-DEGREE BURNS just for them to correct their own mess. If you want consistent service, forget it. Nurses are quitting left and right because the work environment is toxic as hell. Your appointment will likely get canceled last minute, and then you'll be stuck waiting for weeks just to get rescheduled. Corporate is just as useless. Getting help from them is like screaming into the void. They DO NOT CARE. They'll ignore you for weeks, and when they finally respond, it's just more runaround and empty words.
