had a very disappointing experience at SEV Laser. During my Brazilian laser hair removal treatment, I was treated by a trainee and suffered burns and blistering in a very sensitive area. I dealt with severe discomfort and emotional stress from this experience. What has been even more frustrating is how the situation has been handled afterward. Instead of taking responsibility, offering a refund, or making a meaningful effort to resolve the issue, I have been met with delays and requests for additional information while my concerns remain unresolved. I did not trust them again to return to be evaluated by them but sent my PCP evaluation to them. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask about the experience level of the technician performing their procedure and to carefully consider whether this is the level of customer care they would expect if complications arise. read more

I have been coming to this place for years and have always loved everything about it -- the customer service, the professionalism, and of course the results. I even left a 5-star Google review last year and have recommended this place to many friends. Unfortunately, my experience during today's visit was very different. The front desk staff member, I believe her name was Lily, was not very welcoming during check-in. During checkout, the interaction also felt unprofessional and rushed. Normally, the staff takes the time to explain the checkout process and asks whether I would like to leave a tip for my nurse before completing payment, but this was not mentioned at all. I was left standing there unsure if everything was complete, and it honestly felt like I was being rushed out. I ended up having to call back afterward to make sure my nurse received a tip. During the call, I was surprised that no one asked for my name or even which nurse assisted me -- only how much I wanted to tip, while I didn't even know the exact service total at the time. That being said, I still genuinely like this place because everyone else I've interacted with over the years has always been kind, professional, and wonderful. I have been coming here for years - they recently sold and wow the new management is awful. I was two minutes late and received a text. Am I coming in? All the streets surrounding the location are under construction at the minimum would've expected a text to say try another route. Got there and they deleted all my information from their system so for 15 minutes, I had to complete all of my information again. When I asked the girl behind the counter, Chloe, why I was doing this. She said she wasn't sure. Then she said they just needed it updated. There's a big difference between update and deleting. When I came to check out, I asked how many sessions I had left and she said one more I said great. I'd like to book that for a month away. She had me sign the screen to give my tip, but it was charging me $100 instead of just a tip when I said that doesn't sound right I was told don't worry you'll get an email when I finally agreed she said oh but the email will take about half an hour. As I left, she texted me to tell me that my final session would not be honored because it expired my package a month ago. Chloe is supposedly the manager and I am embarrassed for your entire organization if this is who you think should be a manager, teaching customer service and treating people as rudely as she does. I will never go back to this location and anyone that's been in the past save yourself. Don't make the mistake. I did go to LaserAway go to any of the other places possible, but avoid this location at all costs. Aerial just called me from customer service I asked for my information per the California resident act to delete my information and she said they don't do that - I said I read it on the website and she said she would have to look Into it. I want to start by saying the staff here is absolutely wonderful. Everyone I've interacted with has been incredibly warm, inviting, and friendly. Unfortunately, my experience with the actual laser treatments has been a massive disappointment. When I started, I was told the process would take about a year, which seemed reasonable especially since I am not a particularly hairy person compared to the average. However, I ended up doing 18 separate treatments over a year and a half, spending well over a few thousand dollars. Even after pushing 7 sessions past the originally quoted one-year mark, I saw pretty substantial hair growth return just a month and a half after stopping. I also want to caution people about their "unlimited" packages. While it sounds like a great deal, they only allow you to come in once a month. In practice, this is no different than buying single sessions or standard packages. It honestly feels like the business model is designed to act as a perpetual membership where you just keep paying and coming in forever. I'm not sure if it's an issue with their specific technology or just the way they operate, but it is definitely expensive and nowhere near the permanent solution it claims to be. Great people, but ultimately a huge waste of money. read more

I've been coming to this place for years now, because it just is that amazing, truly. Super easy to make appointments, price is just right, and the service delivers. So many of my friends have been to other laser places that decent deliver results and I tell them all to try SEV and they always thank me after. I've been a loyal SEV customer for 6-8 years, first at their NY location and then religiously at the Long Beach, SoCal branch for the past three. I love my nurses--they do an incredible job with my full-body laser--but SEV's upper management and customer service leave much to be desired. Recently, I had a frustrating experience with Jasmine and Ariel in customer relations when I simply asked if my husband and I could share an 8-session full-body package. Since we both get full-body treatments every 10 weeks, this would allow us to finish the package sooner and purchase another one even faster--meaning SEV still gets paid upfront and would actually make more from us in the long run. Instead of any consideration or even a professional, empathetic response, I was met with a dismissive and rude reply: "Don't try to push an outcome you're not going to receive." Excuse me? A long-term, loyal customer simply making a request deserves at least some courtesy, if not an alternative solution. It's disappointing that SEV prioritizes rigid policies over customer experience, especially when their approach makes no business sense. I truly love the nurses and the quality of service they provide, but the poor management and lack of customer care make me seriously reconsider whether SEV deserves my continued business. read more

Don't get your hopes up. I purchased 6 sessions for Brazilian and underarms and saw significant reduction after my first 3 treatments. Then BOOM after completing my 6th session, I was told I was "good to go" and would only need occasional touch ups in the future. No one suggested that I would require additional sessions. NOW just 4 weeks later, my hair has returned almost to full growth. I feel completely misled. Why was I told I was finished at 6? It feels incredibly frustrating to spend the time and money, follow the treatment plan exactly as instructed, and have 0 results one month after ending the protocol. I am not opposed to maintenance, but I do not appreciate being told I was "done" only to experience full regrowth one month later. Now i'm starting from square one. All that time waisted. read more

Buyer beware--if you plan on purchasing a Groupon read the fine print. You can only use one voucher in your life, so if you buy multiple for multiple body parts, like me, you'll be SOL. I wish one of their representatives would have advised me of this when I called to schedule, perhaps maybe then I would have still been in the window to cancel my other vouchers. By the time I went in for an appointment, the SEV representative assured me I shouldn't have any issues getting refunded, however, Groupon denied my request for a refund and ultimately I had to fight with them to get credit back. Not to mention, I ended up purchasing packages at SEV and the rep who rang me up was going to overcharge me $100 but I corrected her...not a great experience. Not going to recommend to others. SEV laser is the best. I recently had laser services at both laser away and SEV and I highly recommend SEV. At SEV I've had my 3rd treatment for a full Brazilian and at Laser away, I've had two treatments for my underarms. SEV has literally been painless, while laseraway is painful and I have to keep asking the lady to take a quick break. On top of that, SEV has me in and out within 10 minutes. Laseraway continually tries to upsell even after I told them I wasn't purchasing anything. It's very uncomfortable. i'll tell them no thank you and they will keep offering other stuff to the point where I'm evening considering not finishing my appointments at laseraway or changing to a different location. Been to SEV consistently for laser treatment on my body as well as parts of my face. The appointments are quick and efficient. Some areas no longer need treatment as hair never returned, and some other areas only need occasional touch ups. I want to share my full experience with SEV Laser Irvine so new clients can understand what really happens here. On August 31, 2024, I signed up for a 6 session package for $225 after being referred by my wife, who had spoken highly of them. At the time of sign up, the employee told both of us that we would each get a free session. That promise was the main reason we both purchased the package. My sessions went like this. October 9, 2024 was the first. November 16, 2024 was the second. January 4, 2025 was the third. February 22, 2025 was the fourth. On April 5, 2025, I came in again and the girl at the counter told me clearly that I had two sessions left and told my wife she had one left. On May 3, 2025, I checked in for another treatment and once again the lady at the counter told me I still had one more session left after that. Then on September 6, 2025, I went in expecting my last session. At the end, the person at the front desk told me I owed $79.99 because my package was done. I was shocked. How is it possible that on two separate occasions two different employees told me something completely different, and now suddenly the company says I have nothing left? I tried to resolve this quietly. I emailed Cloee Kraft, the office supervisor. It took her two to three days every time just to respond, and when she did, she didn't take responsibility or offer a solution. She just repeated that it was my job to track my own sessions. Eventually, I escalated and got a response from Ariel Spears, the customer relations manager. She also ignored the fact that multiple employees gave me wrong information and instead hid behind the policy and receipts. They claim they don't have records of what staff told me, which is convenient, because of course they don't record conversations -- only receipts. This is not about the $79.99 fee. It is about honesty, trust, and how a company worth over 22 million dollars refuses to make something right for a customer who was misled by their own staff. They hide behind policy instead of standing by what their employees say face to face. To make things worse, they decorate their offices and website with the phrase "By the Grace of God." Really? God knows how many other clients have been told wrong information and brushed off the way I was. To use religion as a slogan while treating customers this way feels hypocritical. I had been ready to buy another 6 sessions for myself and another for my wife. Instead, because of how this was handled, they've lost us both forever. I will not be back, I will not refer anyone here, and I will be taking legal action. This experience was painful and disappointing, not because of the money, but because I was lied to, ignored, and made to feel like my words meant nothing. I'm writing this so new people know what kind of business they are walking into. read more

Always asking me how my day has been, making sure i'm comfortable and constantly asking me how i'm doing throughout the session. I've been coming to this location for over a year now since 2022 & it's clear I enjoy this office. The girls are really friendly from the front desk to the nurses. Usually every appt Id have a different nurse but I've consistently had Nena for a few months now & I can say she is the BEST. SO thorough. I think all the nurses are so sweet and great btw but Nena really takes her time with you. I have been to one other well known laser chain establishment & I just didn't like the quality of service & always felt like I wasn't valued if I didn't buy any of their other services. Sev Laser Review: This location in particular has poor management and the best indicator of that is the staff retention. They have new staff (front office and nurses) constantly leaving. The business itself has recently increased its prices due to poor outcomes. I'm originally from the Bay Area and started at Sev there then moved here. Nurses are constantly rushing to get you in and out. The staff has given me racist vibes; they don't ever offer me an appointment to schedule, often times nurses don't explain post care to me, I've had them say "you get a lot of services done" or "those are large areas" insinuating I must be hairy but why else would I be here? With Midde Eastern and South Asian genetics it's what I get. I have also used "too many fee waivers". Letting go of the racial nuances in my services, I just needed to get my laser done but like many of us life situations will come up. I have gotten my whole body done in the last 4 years (shouldn't my hair growth be minimal now?) and considering being present in a pandemic (getting COVID) and other life situations come up I have had to reschedule. Most recently I was unaware that laser cannot be done over henna, which I appreciate the safety check but then asking for me to pay a cancellation fee for a service I arrived and intended to complete seems unjust; consequently due to my life situations in 4 years I am no longer eligible for a fee waiver due to a safety concern being mandated by Sev. Instead of being offered another date to come in and complete the service, I was told to contact management if I had any issues with paying the cancellation fee. Management did not care. I don't recommend coming to the Irvine location. I don't recommend the Sev laser because as a client of 4 years who is still having to deal with their frustrations, learn from my mistakes. read more
