This place is kind of weird, but it's fine. First, calling it a "day spa" is really a stretch lol. It's a small little business with a few rooms and the occasional fake plant scattered about. To give you the full picture: I was gifted the Groupon sessions for a series of IPL treatments. It was reccomended to me and I had done research online and it seemed to fit what I was looking for. When I arrived I was greeted right away and the older Asian lady said she would help me in a second. I filled out the forms while I waited. No biggie. When it came time to bring me back to the room, the worker was asking me questions about my skin with other people present in the front room. Zero confidentiality. I was extremely uncomfortable and was basically talked out of doing the treatment and she said it's not for me. This place ruined my hands. I had Fractional resurfacing 8 years ago elsewhere with amazing results, but here I was made to wait two hours, then treated with settings so high my dermatologist said they damaged my skin barrier. I followed every aftercare step perfectly, yet my hands are now uniformly dark, red, and discolored -- with a clear line where the treatment stopped. When I reached out, they told me to pick up hydroquinone, but I didn't trust their quality and even the prescription from my doctor hasn't reversed the damage. It has been months, and I cry most days looking at my hands. At the very least, I deserve a refund and hope they will do the right thing. Please don't make the mistake I did --this clinic failed me on professionalism, safety, and care. read more

A+? How about F-! First, this business is nearly impossible to reach. I called multiple times with no answer. When I finally received a return call, it came from an unfamiliar number with no voicemail left. I called the main office line again, only to be told they do not offer weekend or evening appointments--despite the website clearly stating that weekend hours are available. This is misleading and frustrating, especially for working professionals who cannot book during standard business hours. Also, same day appointments available? That's a lie. When I questioned the discrepancy, the receptionist offered no explanation and failed to follow up regarding availability. I received another call later from the same alternate number, but once again, my question about weekend scheduling was ignored. If your website and Google listing advertise weekend hours, those should either be honored or updated to reflect actual availability. Misleading information and poor communication suggest a lack of professionalism and accountability. It's unfortunate, but based on this experience, I cannot and would never recommend this business. There is a reason promotions are limited to Groupon deals--it reflects the quality of service. read more

To get appointments you need to text them. They have a new ipl machine that works great. I'm not there for the "spa" environment or "bff" treatment. I just need them to laser my face and they are great at it! I completely trust them and recommend this place. I purchased a Groupon for 3 IPL sessions and I thought it would be a good way to try out a new med spa. As others have mentioned, they don't always answer the phone and it was a little hard to get a hold of them to book. The interior leaves a lot to be desired. It's in need of an update. It was also very hot in there. Not sure if the air wasn't working? After my first IPL, I saw no difference (and I've had this done before somewhere else, years ago). It seemed like it wasn't on a strong enough setting. When I went back the second time I could see better results. I had a different person doing the IPL and she seemed much better and did some test patches to see what my skin could handle (without me commenting about last time). Im glad I got this at a discount because I'm not sure it would be worth full price. I called because I needed to reschedule my third and final IPL of the package I purchased and of course, I had to leave a voicemail. When they called me back, it seemed like they were just calling the number back and didn't listen to my voicemail at all. She got a little passive aggressive with me as I repeated myself multiple times. I also find it awkward how many "suggestions" of tip amounts they have posted around the office since it is actually illegal to tip a med spa. I don't think I'll be returning here. Came in for LHR and was the best Laser Hair Removal treatment I have ever done! I have done lots of laser and it can be super intense on the face. I didn't feel anything because they use the newest and latest Inmode device! It has a cooling rim and makes it painless! I'm blown away! The staff was incredible, answered all my questions and the pricing is unbeatable! First time scheduling can be tricky because they are incredibly busy. Why because they are the best at what they do! I recommend being patient and allow your first appointment to be booked through text. All your questions will be answered either through text or during your first apt. Ask important questions through text if it's your first time. Just trust! It will be so worth it! I now am planning to do several other treatments with them after seeing the results they offer and speaking with Coco the owner and master technician herself! However, extremely difficult to call, they very seldom answer the phone and she has sparodic hours so I have wasted a lot of money on gas only to find she's not there or changed her hours and you can't call to find out when she is there . it's catch as catch can. don't know how she stays in business. read more

I drove to A+ Day Spa from Rowland Heights and I'm so happy I did! The woman that was at the counter greeted me and was kind. The nurse that prepped me for my full face CO2 laser was patient and answered all my questions happily even though I'm sure she gets the same questions all the time. She also suggested a different procedure for my skin concerns. And finally, Coco exceeded my expectations. Anyu is seriously a very professional technician. She's very knowledgeable of IPL machines and how to treat dark spots. I am never disappointed, I always get the best results with her judgement, and she's quick, too. I've had an about 20 photofacials myself from different spas and she knows exactly what she's doing. The lasers are supposed to feel like a rubber band snap to ensure accuracy. If not, the laser is not penetrating the dermis layer of skin to raise the pigment. The facility is nice and clean. Best facial I've ever had! I was visiting Costa Mesa and staying at the Ayres Hotel next door and they are literally across the parking lot, so very convenient. Gabriella at the front desk was so pleasant and was able to fit me in for an anti-aging facial the same day. I can't recall the name of the aesthetician, but she took such care with my skin - I was glowing when I left the salon! I also decided to do a little botox on my forehead, and it was very reasonably priced at $7.50 per unit. I've had botox done before, with mixed results. At A+ Day Spa, a nurse administers the botox, and she also uses an ice cube to minimize the swelling. I look forward to another visit here when I'm back in town. Highly recommend!! read more

Today I had a great experience with IPL. I was even late for my appointment, and they still accommodated me with no complaints. The lady who did my IPL treatment was so kind to me. The IPL session was only a tiny bit uncomfortable, but the treatment is super fast - less than 15 minutes - and super easy to come during your lunch break, etc. I purchased a package of 5 IPL treatments to get ready for my wedding so I'm excited to come back and see the results! I also highly appreciate that they do not try to push services or products on you, which made me feel comfortable and want to come back even more. The reason I deducted one star is because, like others have mentioned in their reviews, I did find it very difficult to get ahold of them to schedule an appointment. Texting (949) 910-3530 seems to be the way to go, but (from my experience) you still may need to wait 40+ hours for a response to your text message, or a call back. Also, take note if you make an appointment, because they will not call you to remind you or to confirm. I believe this could be a 5-star location if they went the extra mile to confirm their appointments and to answer the phones/texts in a timely fashion. read more

I got a PRP micro-needling from Coco and I think Anu was the nurse's name. They were incredible. I have very tiny veins so drawing blood is always a challenge. They persevered and were very professional working extremely hard to make sure I was able to benefit from a proper Vampire facial. After just a few days, I'm seeing the results and lovin it. LC is the bomb dot com. Do people still say this? I went in for my first hydro colon therapy, from a Groupon I found. I have been wanting to try this for years! back when it was super trendy... Hahah Parking is aplenty and the lady in the front was pleasant and kind. It was easy to book an appointment over the telephone. I was pretty nervous going in, but LC is bubbly and informative. She explained the entire process in detail and she came in to the room to help me throughout the 45-60 minute process. I love her. I came for IPL treatments. They are taking COVID protocols seriously and the place is always very clean. The treatment is quick and easy. My face does get quite red, but it doesn't last long and it doesn't hurt. Coco is very friendly and explains what she is doing during the entire treatment process. POOR SERVICE!!!!!! Just received a call back from the establishment after i left a message earlier this morning inquiry of first time visit for colonic therapy, I asked where they were located and ask if i could call a little later because i'm in the middle of something. I just got hung up on, no questions. They have deals on groupon for there services,and given the fact that its cheap lets me know everything i need to know about their business since they are trying to get a large influx of clients to their establishment.I found they have two yelp sites and one has bad reviews which is very telling.
