Although the young lady at the front desk was hospitable towards me at check in for a first time client, I felt very uncomfortable being the the fact that they obviously don't get many people of color at this location. She put me in my room and instead of physically coming back to check on me she texts me and I have never done this before by myself without a technician in the room with me. Secondly she text me and says I only have a few minutes left , well I just knew she would come in person after the few minutes to make sure I was okay but no she text again and says meet her up front , I'm still waiting for the water to stop as she said but it never did. I purchased a Groupon to start IPL treatment for the first time on my face to help get rid of some sun spots, freckles and acne scars. Coco helped me with the first 2 sessions and the new nurse, Anu helped me the rest of the sessions. Both are very knowledgeable and I trust them, but at first they were hesitant to treat me because of my type of skin and pigmentation (which I totally understand) They explained that sometimes laser treatment can have an adverse affect on someone with a more tan and deeper complexion. Coco proceeded with caution and did a small test spot before going all in with a full IPL facial treatment. The process is smooth, they carefully take their time and Anu walks me through the process and asks questions, which I appreciate. She also suggests certain skin care steps and ingredients I should start incorporating into my skin care routine to help maintain the results of the IPL laser facial results I'm seeing. We're very conservative with the level of the laser since my skin is sensitive and they want to be careful not to burn or cause adverse effects. I've only had good experiences so far. In my opinion, it's a pretty quick session and painless. I've seen a major difference in my complexion and I'm so happy with the results. My face sometimes reacts (I have sensitive skin) but not in a bad way, it's just healing. I'm going to continue coming here but probably start up again after Summer since my freckles start to come out more during the summer. PSA: wear your SPF people! Was interested in trying colon hydrotherapy so I decided to purchase a Groupon at $28 (after a 30% off coupon) which is a great deal since the normal price is $70. My appointment was at 12, but I wasn't seen until 12:30 which was a little annoying. The process was slightly uncomfortable not gonna lie, but I did feel like I benefited from it. It was interesting to watch all the gas and waste flow out of the tube. I would recommend bringing a jacket and socks because the room was cold and I would've felt more comfortable if I was nice and warm. I ended up sharing my availability with the person texting and she said the nurse wasnt available for the specific days I had in mind. I had no problem in waiting to book a date that ended up working for both of our schedules so I decided to ask if I could book a facial in the meantime for any Tuesday and her response was "sorry all booked" So you mean to tell me you're booked all Tuesdays for the foreseeable future? This has been by far the worst experience I've EVER had in my life. From start to finish. I found this company on Groupon for $50. I have never done a colonic before and my sister kept pressuring me to find somewhere so what better option than to go to with a place promoting themselves. I called the phone number several times no answer and noticed they had a phone number to text them. I texted to schedule an appointment and was given 10am for Wednesday. I was then asked not to buy a Groupon and they would give me 75% off in person cash rate but I had already purchased the Groupon before making the appointment. When I asked the rate, I was notified that it would be $50 which is the same rate on Groupon, no incentive to deal with the refund hassle through Groupon then. I got there at 10am Wednesday and all of the lights were off. I called and text no response. When the receptionist finally arrived at 10:15am she said sorry there was traffic. She made no eye contact with me, never introduced herself, and never asked my name. I walked in and sat down and she placed her things at the front desk and said I'm going to get your water, I told her I already had water (again me not knowing how it works and her not explaining anything or introducing me to the company rules or guidelines), she then said "I didn't say I was getting you water, I said I'm turning on your water in your room." I can sense her aggressiveness and frustration but I assumed that it had something to do with her being late. I sat there very uncomfortable and confused. I started to leave being that my sister was outside on a business called waiting in the car for me but she was just as excited as I was for the experience and I didn't want to disappoint her so I stayed. The girl (I still don't know her name at this point) came back with a pink towel 5 minutes later and said follow me. Being that I am not use to unprofessional experiences and lack of preparation from a full operating company, I was hesitant and asked the young lady who will be servicing me today for my colonic as we strolled slowly down the hall. She states "I am is there a problem" again looking at me very annoyed. Being that she had never introduced herself or title and that she was dressed in yoga pants, a black t-shirt and leopard shoes, I'm left only to assume that's she's just helping set up the appointment and doing the front desk check in, which was never done, and surely someone else would be communicating with me on the procedure. After telling her that I actually was uncomfortable being that she was late, never introduced herself or asked my name, and that I'm new here and to this process, was concerned about sanitation and the procedure and just had more questions before I'm just placed in a room. Her response was "Well I said I was sorry what else do you want to reschedule your appointment" after rolling her eyes. I simply had to ask her was she serious right now and that no I scheduled this appointment on my 1 day off of work after just getting out of the hospital 2 days prior and was simply looking for someone with a little more respect and decency. I asked her can I speak to the manager or will she be coming in. She said "No" and stumped into the room and started shutting off all of the water. I then told her that I'll just get my money back and wanted to speak to her manager on the phone immediately. After walking back to the front I waved to my sisters who was on a call to get her attention and told her I was not staying because of how rude and disrespectful the staff was. I turn back around when I noticed the lady was on the phone but she walked away, I walked to her and asked can I speak to the manager myself, and noticed that not only did she ignore my request to talk to the manager but she called the police instead and completely made up a story that I was threatening her life. Not in a million years would I, a black woman living in Orange County , who have dealt with her fair share of racism, would I have EVER thought I would experience this. My sister came in to check on me and noticed that the girl called the police. As my sister was trying to talk her and ask her what was going, she continues to tell the police her life is threatened and then states that we wouldn't leave. Me seeing the tactics that this girl is using, knowing how dangerous it is for US as a race when women like her use these kinds of lies, I know that I did not have the luxury of staying in that environment to defend myself with the police being that this was her workplace. I was never asked to leave yet after her stating that to the police I told her I would gladly leave but will be expecting a call immediately from her manager. Coco does an amazing job and takes lots of time and care to make sure all precautions are managed. I think some of the negative reviews on here are from people used to the lasers at skin laundry which have less downtime and slower results. This means that the lasers used here you do have a bit of downtime if you have never used Ipl or not done it for a long time. I went to skin laundry which became super expensive over time so I'm happy to find this place. I came with a Groupon for a facial that was going to expire soon. I'm always suspicious of Groupon deals because I've been let down before so that's why I put off this appointment. It is a small spot in a shopping center off of the part of Bristol divided by the 73. The parking lot of pretty empty so I had no trouble parking. The receptionist was polite and welcoming, and I was seen on time. I had a 60 minute European facial, which included extractions. I think my esthetician was Yuki, who was efficient and purposeful in her work. It was not a relaxing lazy facial, but rather done with the intention of removing every single one of my blackheads and getting my skin as soft as a baby's bottom. I've been coming here almost every month for over a year now. I started coming here when my skin was breaking out like crazy. I used to go to Coco. She healed my skin and made it almost 100% better. My skin doesn't break out often anymore. I do have adult acne now and then, but it's nothing major. I'm not sure if Coco is doing facials anymore, but I start going to Yuko, and she is AMAZING. I prefer to go to Yuko now. I've suffered from severe acne for over 15 years now, and this was the only cure for it on top of Curology. If you're like me, coming in with severe adult acne, don't give up hope! You HAVE TO suck it up and get a facial here at least every 3 weeks or every month. Also, try Curology on top of these facials. This is the clearest my skin has ever been since middle school! The price they charge for facials here is not bad. Buy the package deal to save some money. First heard of this spa through Groupon and purchased a deal for a 60-minute Spa Signature Facial with an add on (microdermabrasion).The staff is nice and they are open to answering questions if you ask. The spa is well-maintained and clean, so that is always a great reflection.  In general, the service was good. The esthetician explained the products throughout the service, which of course is helpful because I like to know exactly what is being used on me. My facial lasted exactly 50-minutes (although the Groupon says 60). I'm assuming the other 10 minutes are for the therapist to set up, but it would be nice to actually have the entire 60-minutes.  Also, if this is your first time getting a facial keep in mind that extractions may hurt a bit. During this visit I felt like I had more extractions done which of course is good for me because I rather have everything removed, but it did spark some pain.  Overall the experience was good. My 11 year old daughter has been suffering from severe constipation for months. The doctors and ER could not figure what was causing it. I had my first colon cleanse here with LC, she is very sweet with a calm demeanor and professional. She explained everything to me and gave me some good advice. I'm a chronic Groupon-er for facials. Found A+ Day Spa on Groupon, and I think I've found commitment finally! I was greeted upon entry and asked to fill out a one page form for new facials. I got the 1 hr European/regular facial. We started promptly at 10am and ended promptly at 11am. Usually, I feel pain and see redness afterwards since the aestheticians are appalled at the depth and number of blackheads on my nose. I am also usually product pushed. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED HERE. She was gentle and massaged my face with each application of mask, exfoliator, or toner. She was silent and I was so relaxed I fell asleep. When it came to extraction time, I braced myself but the steam and whatever she put on my face made me feel almost no pain. I could feel the contact of the tools, but it wasn't unpleasant at all. There was also a nice head massage when she was letting the final masque dry. Usually other aestheticians leave the room for a bit. When I looked in the mirror afterwards, my nose was like new! My face was dewy. Writing this review a day later, my face is still looking fresh and feels smooth and soft. FYI they use COLLINS brand for their products. I'll definitely be back. My IPL sessions with Coco have been amazing, I did my face first, and last week I did my chest, I was a little bit in pain after my procedure, but later on the burning sensation subsided, I applied Aloe Vera gel and this really helped. Wrote this review months and months back but for some reason.. it did not post successfully. Probably because it was way too long. I've had a facial here awhile back and it was nothing to rave about. I actually felt like my facial was rushed and the lady kept leaving the room. I did not get the full hour I paid for. I wouldn't refer my friends here to put it plain and simple. I absolutely hate it when you're asked if you would like to leave a "tip". From my own personal experience, I find this happens more at Asian establishments (the ones I've been to). It's unprofessional, rude, and... I'm sure you guys know what I'm trying to say. First off, you shouldn't be asking about tipping period because then you're just suggesting that they "should" leave a tip or that a tip is expected. If the clients are happy with the services, they know to "tip" and "tip" accordingly. You put clients in an uncomfortable and awkward spot when you "ask" or even "mention" about "tipping", especially when the clients aren't happy or completely satisfied with their experience. Tipping isn't a right and it isn't required. Tipping should be entirely up to the clients and they should not be put on the spot about it. Not every service and experience deserves a "tip". I try to give establishments a second chance so I made an appt way ahead in advance for a C02 Fractional Laser procedure. The front desk receptionist scheduled me on the date and time we agreed on and when I showed up, they turned me away because they had double booked someone else in my slot. Now, this is where I just don't get. How in the hell could they allow this to happen?! They realized it was their mistake and apologized but it's not enough. I set aside time for this scheduled appt! I have children as well so I had to make arrangements and take time off for a week (according to their post procedure after care). I wasted so much time and gas just to make it to my appt on time. I even got there early! Of course, they saw how visibly irritated I was so their doctor tried to tell me that they wouldn't have been able to do the procedure on me anyway because I wasn't "Caucasian". She stated if I was Caucasian she would do the procedure right away. Those were her exact words. She was Asian and I'm Asian so I knew what she meant. She was referring to the difference between Asian and Caucasian skin. Other people who don't understand might take offense to the way it was said. Anyway, she said I would need to prep my (Asian) skin 6 weeks in advance before the procedure can be done. Why am I being told this now though?! Had I known, I would have went elsewhere. They kept saying "that's why we had to consult first", which is fine but my appointment was never even booked as a "consultation" in the first place. That was never disclosed to me or explained to me beforehand until I got there. I clearly made the appointment with the notion that I would be coming in for the procedure that day. I can understand if I had some form of skin condition that would disqualify me but that wasn't the case. They based it solely on the fact that my skin was not "Caucasian white" enough. That was exactly how it was explained to me. And if the differences in skin color and tone makes such a huge difference, they should be asking their clients beforehand what their background is to determine whether they would make the right candidate or not. I understand sometimes you can't just assume over the phone but at least if you can determine their background beforehand, you can at least advise them of the "possibility" of needing additional "prep work" before the procedure can be done. And if the client chooses to still move forward in making that appt after that, then that's on them and they would be more understanding if and should they get denied in person. That would save a lot of time, gas, headaches, stress, and frustration. They need to make it absolutely clear to their clients beforehand that read more

We scheduled 2 appointments a week in advance and we arrived on time and the doors were locked, and no one was inside. we called the number 4 times within 30 minutes and it always went to voicemail. We texted that we arrived and no one responded. We had to pay babysitting fees, take time off work, lose income, just so we could finally make this appointment, and the place does a no show. I've been coming here for microneedling with PRP over the past few months and have been very impressed with my results. I don't have any skin issues (acne, etc) so I can't speak to that, but I've loved the results from these treatments and my skin looks amazing after!
