Would not recommend. Very difficult to make an appointment. They do not answer their phone and return messages with a text! The first time I arrived for my appointment the nurse arrived 15 mins after me and there were already three people waiting that also had appts with her. She was very frazzled and rushed which makes you wonder if she is going to make mistakes. I purchased a package of treatments so I figured I would finish my treatments and not return. On my next two visits there was no one at the front desk and they were running 20-30 mins behind each time. They do not even close the door to the treatment rooms. First I want to say Coco is amazing FIVE starts for her!!! One star because it took me 3 weeks to get a hold of someone to book my appointment. I told my friends about this spa because coco does amazing work. They tried to book a session but gave up after calling for 2 weeks and no one called them back! I called that same day for my appointment seven times see by any chance if there was a earlier spot available but no one answered. I got to my appointment the receptionist at the desk so I was surprised when no one answers the phone or gives me a call back!! I understand it gets busy but to get there and her not doing anything was very disappointing I almost left because I was so mad/disappointed! I was at my appointment I had my friend call the spa and the receptionist ignored the call I asked for her name she said it was ROSIE SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS MORE INVOLVED IN HERSELF then anything. I came here for the Colonic Hydro Therapy twice. It is a weird but good experience. Having a tube and water rushing in you felt a lil awkward but you get use to it. This place was recommended to me by a friend. I bought a Groupon and decided to check it out. I received the colonic therapy. When I arrived I was greeted by very nice employees. The lobby is small but definitely smells like a spa. I Filled out some paperwork and shortly after was taken into the therapy. As for the therapy it was a really interesting experience. The employee explained the procedure and was attentive throughout the process. The process was about an hour long. The next day I didn't feel as bloated or swollen. If you would like clean skin for cheap, this is the place to go. If you would like to relax and feel uplifted this is not the place to go. I just got engaged and want to have the best skin of my life for my wedding so I am in search of a more affordable facial option. As soon as I was under the aestheticians light she gasped audibly and went on for 5 minutes about how my acne was so bad and how I need to work harder with my acne. I admit, I currently have a bad pimple on my chin (that is why I was there after all) but I would be embarrassed to go in there when my acne really was bad. As soon as she was done with making me feel extremely self conscious about my so called acne she started telling me that I had awful wrinkles and needed Botox. I'm 25. I may have some wrinkles but really? Is it ever the time in place to tell people how "bad" their wrinkles are and point out every little place you need Botox. Lastly, she left me in the room for about 20 minutes with my face mask on and I could hear her talking very loudly in the hallway. Not relaxing, but my face is clean. read more

To give unnecessary backstory, I've had a crazy year as a grad student and after finishing my program, I decided to treat myself to a facial day. What was great about A+ Day Spa was they had a Groupon on their site for a facial and so I clicked on it and here I am! All facials or any services are done through appointment only so be sure to call in beforehand! I had Mila as my therapist and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable and very calming throughout the entire procedure. I ended up getting an add-on in the end for $15 and it included a hydra-microdermabrasion for my skin which felt amazing personally as I always feel extra clean thanks to extractions. The entire process took about 50-minutes long which wasn't a full 60 minutes as advertised but I felt the quality was worth it! There were several layers of deep cleansing before the microdermabrasion add-on and afterwards a treatment pack was added afterwards. I never felt so relaxed during this time! My face also felt baby smooth afterwards which was the hopeful result anyways. The location is pretty small so keep in mind where you turn into but it gives off a warm feeling. Knowing I found a new to go place, this definitely won't be the last time I'm coming! read more

I came in for the hydrotherapy colonic the past weekend and it was odd at first but after the cleanse I feel more at ease with my GI. Its awkward at first but you get use to it. I have been an avid user of Yelp for years and have always counted on them for their reviews, especially when traveling. Today was my first time purchasing a Yelp voucher and the worst yelp experience I have had! I was out of town and much needed a massage. Seeing the Yelp special and reviews I elected to Purchase a voucher for a 90 minute massage. I arrived on time however my masseuse was not ready. When she finally came in she started working on me for approximately 10 minutes. She then left to go finish a facial on another client while leaving me laying there on the table waiting for her to return. Approximately 10 minutes later she arrived to finish my massage. However instead of receiving my full 90 minute massage she stopped at 60 minutes and said she had another appointment. So in reality I received a 40 minute massage when I booked 90! The front receptionist was very apologetic so no complaints there but being a visitor and the experience I had I WONT be returning to ever use the voucher! Checked in for a colon-hydrotherapy session yesterday. Was very appreciative they could get me in the same day as well. This location was very close to my work so I figured I'd give them a try. Used to doing enemas in the quiet and clean confines of my home so this was a step outside my comfort zone. They have what is called an open system vs a closed system which allows you to go all while the water is being pumped into your colon. All in all it was a pleasant session. A bit cold in the room. Bring socks and maybe a blanket if you tend to get cold. Wear gyms clothes, PJ's or have an extra set of clothing. For the most part you controlling everything on your own. The therapist checks in on your periodically. She was friendly and informative. Only drawback with this type of colon-therapy (open system), they do not offer showers after the procedure which would be a huge plus. Otherwise the facility is clean, friendly staff and overall good value. Watch for being sold "supportive" product following procedure. Make sure you know what your buying. Your diet, water consumption and exercise is more important than more supplements. read more

So amazing! Found this place on Groupon and was not disappointed. I had the signature facial with add on, hydra-microdermabrasion, treatment with Mila and it was fantastic. She was really gentle for the cleaning portion and then got in there for the extractions. I left super relaxed and feeling super clean and soft! The spa itself is super clean and smells amazing. My husband Robert and I went to get a hydro colonic cleanse(it took me eight days to get a hold of someone to book my appointment) and ELSI attended my husband told him how to sit and work the machine and left him there all alone. My husband had never done a colon cleanse he felt very awkward and scared. I was so scared I didn't even do it because how is a professional certified therapist doing to tell someone how to work the machine and leave them in the room all alone. My husband finished his colon cleanse and didn't know how he was supposed to feel. Very disappointing! The spa was really nice looking but we aren't coming back. Purchased a Groupon for an infrared body wrap. I scheduled an appt via text per their website which they confirmed via text. (Note they don't have an Online Booking system so no email confirmation). So I even called 2 days before to reconfirm via phone which they did. On the morning of my appt, I drove all the way down from LB, arriving 15 min before my 11am appt and they were Closed; doors locked! Supposedly they open at 9am. I called and texted and nothing. I waited til 1130am and left. Got my refund thru Groupon. Spa called me around 1230 to apologize and reschedule. If they claim to open at 9am, they could have called me earlier and saved me a trip. Got a much needed facial here. My pores were super clogged and I had a recent breakout from my monthly friend. So I bought a Groupon for the European facial with add on- the aesthetician, I'm unsure if hey name was Sarah or Coco, determined I needed a microderm as the add on. The place was super hot when I walked in and no one came to greet me for a good 5 minutes. When I laid down, the aesthetician told me my bralet was in her way, fine, but she kept mentioning it but not letting me take it off. Wasn't a super big deal except everything else after that was a complaint from her. I'm sure it's partially because she has an accent and probably didn't mean any offense but if I wasn't Asian, I'd be offended. Took off a star off for this. The other star I took off was mainly the presentation of this place, it's called a day spa but don't come here to relax. Come here to get whatever you need done in a nonrelaxed environment. It's hot (not because of the steam machine, seemed like they were saving money not turning on the AC), ppl are nice but not spa nice, and you get exactly what you pay for- the aesthetician even mentioned she took too long doing one part of the facial but it ended exactly in an hour. Honestly, it's slightly a step up from going to a beauty salon and getting a facial. I'd come back if the facials were in the $30s or low $40. Anything more I'd just pay extra going to a real spa with better products. They did a good job but it's the environment that's a little off. read more

There phone line keep saying this is a time warner phone and that there vM is not setup and does not take messages and hangs up. My appointment was 20 minutes late and the lady never acknowledged it nor introduced herself so I don't even know her name. She was pretty cold when going over the process. The receptionist is very unprofessional. Very slow in responding to text and never called back. They didn't even communicate with customers on the pricing info and then asked you to pay a huge amount after the service. I really, really wanted to love this place. My first visit would have been a 5-star; however, my second visit was canceled without notifying me (and I traveled all the way from Long Beach), which brought my rating down to a 3-star review. First off, my first visit was due to a Groupon and it was for a facial. Amber was amazing and even gave me a complimentary hydro-wash that blasted water into my pores. It definitely left my skin silky smooth and hydrated. The only process I did not like, which was normal because it was just like that, was the extractions where they extract all the tough spots on your face to clean out any contamination (Amber did let me know this was going to happen and that it may feel uncomfortable but it is beneficial for the skin). In the end, it was an hour long process that included misting my face with a hot mist, different lotions and serums massaged into my skin, a little bit of massages in the troubled areas, etc. Whenever I had a question, Amber was able to answer it. In the end, I was so relaxed after the entire experience that I scheduled another facial for summer (which was another 2 months out). When my summer-time facial came (a Monday morning - first appointment), they called and left a message (however, I don't pick up if I don't recognize the number). In the end, I listen to their message on Sunday which states that they knew I had an appointment but they weren't sure for what and to call them back by Friday night). Being that it was Sunday and my appointment was during the time the spa opened, I still arrived (I would apologize for not calling them back). That was when they told me my appointment was canceled because I never called back, which I believed was unprofessional because cancellation was never mentioned in the message (I listened to it again when I sat back down in my car). They only mentioned to please call them back before Friday closing; in reality, it should have been to call them back before Friday closing or sadly, the appointment would have to be canceled and to please call again to reschedule. If I knew that ahead of time, I would not have driven all the way from Long Beach to go to a spa I had no appointment with. Because of this experience, I will not be going back. read more

I'm a regular at this spa and have had a couple of Fraxel CO2 Laser treatments and am currently undergoing IPL treatments all in the capable hands of Coco. I tried my first treatment through Groupon to test the waters but was so impressed by the results of Fraxel I came back. I'm in my 40s and had some upper lip wrinkles and light acne scarring that was beginning to bother me. After one session I saw visible results. It's been 6 months since my last Fraxel and those problem areas are still improving! I recently renewed my license and my skin looks tight and glows compared to the older photo, taken 3 years prior? Purchased the 5 IPL sessions from Groupon. I've had 2 sessions so far and each was a pleasant experience. The initial appointment was easy to schedule, and I was able to get an appointment the following week. Day of my appointments, the wait time was minimal - 1st session I was the first appointment of the day and was seen immediately; 2nd session I waited no more than 10 minutes before being seen. Coco was great and explained the IPL procedure, what to expect during and after, and post IPL care. The treatment itself was what I expected - there was slight pain but any discomfort or tightness went away by the next day. Results were noticeable and immediate.
