Cheryl N.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband because I am sort of his caregiver, I dealt directly with this office and I feel they are making fun of me, they need to be called out as I do not want this to happen to anyone else. I really don't know what they are thinking, it should be obvious that talking to me should tell them I have a medical background but that is beside the point, they should treat every customer with respect. My husband has skin cancer but it's not the killer form melanoma, he has BCC and SCC, his dermatologist is very competent, very nice doctor but he is firmly against any suggestion of any cosmetic procedure. Because of my husband misguided concept of sunbathing and never using sunscreen skiing from the age of 5, he pays for it dearly, at least his skin cancer never reached melanoma but as a result of so many SCC Mohs surgery and moles coming from the sun, his skin looks like the moonscape!. It looks rough and bothers him as he compares himself to me who is literally allergic to the sun n use sunscreen all my life so I have good skin but I told him I'm a woman and as a man, as told by his dermatologist, he should not be concerned. My skin starts looking bad this year but I feel bad he cannot stop thinking about this, it was not out of vanity but if a procedure can uplift his spirit, why should I not help him attain it. I called and talked to a lady w such heavy accent, she said she was from South Africa, whoa! Since when call centers went to Africa. I made it clear I want some procedure to get rid of "moon rocks" maybe laser to smooth out the rough surface, or whatever a cosmetic surgeon need to do to make his skin look normal, I told her I'M POSITIVE my health insurance won't pay for it but I'm willing to pay for it, she told me not to worry, they will figure out how to bill the insurance pay for it. I specifically said I wanted Dr Tien Nguyen who's a well known cosmetic surgeon. I went in with my husband for the initial consultation w a NP, I forgot her name, she was a blonde, she was very nice but she immediately zeroed in on his potential BCC and SCC (never mind I had told everybody I was there for some simple cosmetic procedures, she assured us that after the biopsy was done and any BCC treated w nitrogen, SCC treated by Dr Martin, he will be allowed to see Dr Nguyen. It sounded fair but they made him wait for so long to see Dr Martin, my husband saw another physician assistant who told him firmly they didn't do cosmetic at 1st OC, unfortunately I did not go w my husband that time OR THIS DISRESPECTFUL PA would get an earful from me, I say like it is THIS IS GROSS BAIT AND SWITCH PRACTICE and they did that to the wrong person, this was a joke, the big sign in front of the building said they were a big cosmetic surgery center. I'll cancel his next week appointment for some dubious case of BCC/scc, I take a good look and it sure looks pretty normal to me, my husband forgot to tell them off that I made it clear, we had a Harvard graduate Dr doing his SCC for the past 8 years, we were here for the cosmetic procedure, we were strung along long enough and I'm not going to take it any longer. The office has a big operation, I have never seen such an office teaming w office help and the waiting room was packed, I bet most were there for plastic surgery, neither my husband nor I are into changing anything, we are happy w what our parents gave us! My husband is stressed out and now accept his skin the way it is, I'm OK w his moonscapes and grateful he's alive, I told him I would marry him again! Even if he might replace Al Pacino as the new Scarface, I'm joking but I got my husband to giggle about this.

I've been going to Dr Nguyen, Sanchez & Jenny for the past 2 years and they are simply brilliant! I've had a lot of skin cancer issues in the past and fortunately they are in the past! I don't know what I'd do without first OC dermatology.

While I was here, I heard of other wellness shots they have to offer. I appreciate the staff and providers, especially Michelle the Medical Assistant, for being so informative on the benefits! I'm already planning the appointments for my next few rounds of NAD+ shots! Thank you Richland Aesthetics and team for the welcoming appointment! Your compassion for your patients truly shows.

I strongly encourage you NOT to go to Brandon Richland, MD for Breast Reconstructive Surgery…read more I consulted with Brandon Richland after Breast Cancer surgery for removal of implants and breast reconstruction. He was charming, presented as knowledgeable and I felt he understood what I wanted. Surgery went well and I was pleased with the results. I felt everything was fine until shortly after the drainage tubes were removed. I became very ill, had a high temp and felt like I had covid. I went to Richland's office, he took one look at me and immediately told me to walk over to ER. No one from his office offered to come with me nor did anyone check on me. In the ER an IV was started immediately and I stayed in ER until a room was available. My right breast was red, swollen, painful, and oozing from a tiny hole in the scar tissue. Not once did anyone from Richland's office check on me. I had an ultrasound which showed "fluid" in my breast, it was an abscess. The next day Richland came to my room numbed my breast and excised it. The infection came pouring out, it was disgusting and painful. The test results came back "MRSA light growth". Richland packed my breast and walked out of the room without saying a word. For 2 weeks I was in isolation, on Vancomycin IV trying to get the infection under control. Vancomycin is the heaviest antibiotic available and it is hard on your veins and harder on your body. The entire time I was in the hospital there was not one word from anyone at Richland's practice. Important note - my family was notified by the hospital of my illness and told "it does not look good". Where was my Dr? Finally I was discharged - with an open wound in my breast which I had to learn how to pack myself multiple times a day. After a few weeks the wound started to close. I called Richlands office and was told to come in so he could excise the wound once again. Richland said it was imperative that the wound close from the inside out. During the excision he took another sample from inside the wound. This result came back MRSA - HEAVY GROWTH. I immediately called the office and spoke with staff - Richland was busy - asked for a call back to discuss test results - Richland never returned one call. In total I left 4 messages and stopped in his office 3 times. All attempts to get an answer were, and still are, blatantly ignored. MRSA is no joke. People die from this infection and some lose limbs. To have a physician care so very little about his patient that he can't be bothered to have a conversation to explain these test results is unconscionable. It's important to note I was unable to finish my cancer treatment after leaving the hospital. To this day, there has been no conversation or explanation from Richland or anyone in his office.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!…read more This is what Dr. Newen's poor surgical technique caused to my wife's breasts from a botched breast augmentation that he performed a couple of years ago. Besides being a jerk that has poor bedside manner and avoids seeing his patients after deposits and payments are made, he is a terrible surgeon. The specialist who removed the extensive scarring from my wife's breast said he does many revisions on patients that have work done by Dr. Newen. To have capsular contracture to both breast to this extent, demonstrates poor sterile surgical technique. Go to a real plastic surgeon that knows what he or she is doing. Dr. Newen is a horrible pompous human being and poorly skilled surgeonI am in the process of reporting his practice to the Medical Board that licenses him.

I was at home in Newport Beach and asked a friend for a referral to a breast Dr. I called the Dr but it was after hours. The operator asked if I wanted to speak to the Dr "on call". I said I would. I just wanted to know if I could take Advil for whatever was causing me to be so sick and in pain. Dr Elliott returned my call immediately and he asked me several questions regarding my symptoms. He then told me to come to his office the next morning and to expect it to be a long day. I arrived at his office in extreme pain and met his front office gal, Chris, who was so empathetic and caring. She had me sit down and get off my feet. She asked me if I needed water but I had my own with me. Next I met Dr Elliott, who was so amazing. He examined me and immediately called several Drs while I was there in the exam room. He told me he set up appointments for an ultrasound and to walk across the hallway to the radiologist that specializes with breasts. Within 10 minutes I was having an ultrasound which detected fluid in my breast and aspirated 200 cc's of necrotic fluid which resulted in having surgery on my breasts. I ended up having MRSA, a 5 day hospital stay, 2 weeks of infusions and off work for 9 weeks. Dr Elliott was the key to finding out what was wrong with me. I can't say enough about this man. He was like the Angel that I needed who showed up in my life at the right time. He also sent me to an infectious disease Dr who determined the proper medications I should take throughout my treatments. I was never fully happy with them, and after two kids, things got worse--my implants stayed high, but my breast tissue sagged over them. I went to Dr. Nguyen because two of my girlfriends had amazing results with him. After consulting with a few surgeons, I chose Dr. Nguyen because I saw his work firsthand. As a nurse practitioner in the aesthetic world for 10+ years, I knew exactly what I wanted: an anchor scar lift. Dr. Nguyen told me I didn't need it --and thank goodness I listened! He only did a nipple lift, and the results are STUNNING. He saved me from a huge scar I didn't need. My breasts are symmetrical and beautiful, and the scar is just a tiny white line around the nipple. Night before surgery, I got surgery jitters and I posted a story on Instagram asking if anyone had a bad experience with him. My DMs were flooded with glowing reviews--even a nurse who worked with him said he's incredible. That gave me so much confidence. If you're considering breast surgery, TRUST him. He's honest, talented, and does gorgeous work. I couldn't be happier, finally!

During the consultation, the doctor recommended a Level 1 lift through the areola incision, which he said would make my areolas smaller and improve the sagging. I trusted his professional opinion completely and had no objections. I paid $9,000 for the surgery, including $2,000 specifically for the Level 1 lift. About two weeks after the operation, I removed the compression bra and was extremely disappointed -- the sagging had not improved even 10%. You can still clearly see the droop (I have photos to prove this) and my breasts are not smaller as I requested, nor as the doctor claimed they would be in the consultation. When I went back for a follow-up, the doctor simply said, "I think they look good!" Honestly, if this is considered "good," then this doctor should not be in cosmetic surgery. When I asked about having the surgery corrected to achieve a proper lift, they told me I would need a Level 3 lift -- and I would have to pay another $9,000! There was zero responsibility taken for my unsatisfactory result. It seems they don't care about their patients, their wishes, or their recovery -- only about money. I made it clear this was not my fault and I should not be charged as if it were a brand-new surgery with no support from the doctor. I offered to pay 50% of the $9,000 to help cover anesthesia and OR costs, but they refused. They blamed "high anesthesia costs" and showed no intention to work with me to correct the problem. Let's not forget -- each surgery costs not just money, but also time, health, and recovery. The Level 1 lift was not something I demanded; it was the doctor's professional recommendation. As a patient, I trusted that advice, and a professional should know which procedure will deliver the best result. If the chosen technique fails, the responsibility should be shared. Since then, I have tried to reach out multiple times, but their way of handling customers is to avoid and remain silent. The doctor has never once called to check on me after surgery, despite promising to do so. I am now looking for another surgeon to fix the result because I no longer trust this clinic. If you are considering coming here -- think carefully. I lost money, time, and trust. You deserve a surgeon who stands behind their work and cares about their patients, not just the payment.

Because of her, I truly enjoyed my pregnancy, labor, and delivery experience. Up until 28 weeks, I was seeing staff members who are unfortunately no longer at the facility. I was then transitioned to Dr. Nguyen, and I couldn't be more grateful. She answered every one of my questions in great detail and never once dismissed any of my concerns. She is also very proactive--when I told her about severe itching at 36 weeks, she immediately recognized it as cholestasis and ordered blood work within minutes. Anytime I reached out through the patient portal, she consistently responded within 24 hours. Although she speaks quickly, it's not because she's rushing through appointments. It's simply a reflection of how knowledgeable and thorough she is--she takes the time to explain everything in detail so you fully understand what's happening with your body. My postpartum experience with her has been just as positive. When I reached out about a concern, she made herself available to see me the same day. At my 6-week postpartum appointment, I opened up about personal struggles and postpartum depression. I initially worried the appointment might feel rushed, but instead, she encouraged me to share and truly listened. She was genuine, understanding, and deeply attentive, offering thoughtful advice that I will always be grateful for. I highly recommend Dr. Linh Nguyen to anyone looking for a doctor who truly cares. The upper eyes were deformed and destroyed, and the chin was in the shape of pointy downward. Christina Chen, Abram's staff member and translator, recommended that I choose Gore-Tex chin implant. Although the price is three times more expensive than silicone, the benefits are obviously more than silicone. I paid and chose Gore-Tex. I spoke with Abram Nguyen and Christina: I wanted my chin to be natural and not big. Three months after the surgery, I discovered that my chin was crooked, curved downward, pointed from the front, discontinuous and too large from the side. I contacted Christina but she said it was a hematoma and told me to wait another year for the hematoma to completely go away. I waited another year and my chin still looked the same. Christina said that the Gore-Tex chin looks like this when it is first made, but as it grows with the soft tissue, the chin will get smaller and smaller, so you should wait another year. Over the next few years, she cheated on me in various ways. I had symptoms such as toothache, jaw pain, and red chin skin. Other doctors confirmed that I was deceived and got a silicone chin. Abram Nguyen admitted he put in silicone, not Gore-Tex。 They set a trap to deceive me by taking advantage of the fact that I lived out of state and was not fluent in English. My upper eyelid procedure was done badly as well. Abram Nguyen removed fat from my eyelids without my permission. The width of fat loss in the right eyelid is 7mm, and that in the left eyelid is 6mm. The eyes are sunken and the tail of the eye drops down. The right eye is parallel and the left eye is triangular and asymmetrical. The scars on the eyelids are very rough, and there are wrinkles on the eyelids after a large amount of eyelid fat was removed. The eyes looked smaller than before. sunken, wrinkled little eyes make me look thirty years older. The pointed, droopy chin resembles a witch's chin. I hoped that another doctor could repair my eyes, but the answer was that they couldn't because too much fat was removed. People looked at me with surprise and fear. Some people told me outright that my face was ruined. My life was ruined and I was in constant depression. I have been reluctant to go out for so many years. Staff Christina Chen introduced that Abram Nguyen graduated from a top medical university in the United States and said that I must completely trust their beauty technology and services. She also said that she and I speak the same mother tongue and that she would wholeheartedly help me. I chose to believe them, but what I got was deception, disfigurement and money fraud.
