I've been here 5 times now. Four for laser hair removal appointments and once for an IPL facial. I heard about them through a friend who found them on groupon. Outside it says Walk-in medical clinic and if I didn't know this ahead of time I would have been a little confused. There is a parking lot right next to it which is a big plus for me because so many places in Long Beach have street parking only. The inside is clean, no issues there. The women at the front desk have always been polite to me and I've never had any issues checking in or scheduling my next appointment. There has also never been more than one or two other people at most in the front waiting area, usually there is nobody else. I'm always called back to a treatment room within 5 minutes of checking in. After I undress for the procedure my wait has never been more than 5-10 minutes, only once it had been about 10. I've had 2 different nurses and the doctor do my treatments. They have all been super nice and I don't ever feel uncomfortable at all. They are knowledgeable and can answer questions or give recommendations for other treatments but they don't do a full court press on trying to upsell you like most med spas I have been to. I love this because it makes my appointments more enjoyable. I have previously had some laser hair removal treatments done elsewhere before coming across LBC Laser MD within the past few years. In comparison, all three women who did my treatments here were way more thorough than anywhere else I have been. I always felt other places rushed and skipped spots so you would have to buy more treatments. So my appointments here may be a little longer but I appreciate it because if I'm spending the time and money already and staying out of the sun for months, I want it done right with good results. Overall my experience has been really good and I would definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

I got a Brazilian laser treatment done here. Cynthia was very careful to ensure I was educated on the process. She was so sweet, nonjudgmental, and encouraging. Getting laser hair removal is like getting hit with a bunch of rubber bands. She was very patient with me and my twitching. Even when I almost kicked her in the head. Avoid this place at all costs. I had gone here for 6 sessions of Pico sure laser, and 3 sessions of PRP Microneedling. To start off, the younger girl at the front desk had always been extremely rude to me every time I walked in. For every session I tried to come in, I tried not to take it personally and thought that maybe I was reading into things too much. But the way she talked to me vs the way she talked to others, and the literal blatant look of disgust she would always give me, rolling her eyes when I talk, the terse responses, etc, had become more apparent. Second. I remember when I had come in for my 4th session of picosure, out of nowhere they jumped the price of 3 sessions for 875 to 3 sessions for 1600. When I said "wait a second, what? You guys charged me 875 last time?" She said "just a second I'll be right back..." then she comes back 30 minutes later and says "ok I talked to the doctor and she said that was a promotion..." I respond by saying "nowhere was it ever advertised that that was a promotion. I came in for those 3 sessions with my boyfriend and you charged him 875. And then I decided I wanted to get 3 sessions, too." Then she leaves for another 30 minutes and comes back..."sorry yeah that was a promotion...but we can do 3 sessions for 1200 just this once..." I just sat there, having already wasted an hour at this place, and was like "ok, I guess that's better." She just says "k" and walks off AFTER I pay her. I wait for another 45 minutes and finally she comes back and tells me the machine is not working...and I'm like "okay...so?" She merely responds by saying "we can schedule you for next Friday if that works." I say "after you guys just took my money and wasted an hour and a half of my time?" She then AGAIN walks off, comes back 20 minutes later, and says "the doctor says we can give you botox in one area and vitamin b12 shots as a complimentary gift the next time you visit.." I just shrug and accept it and return later. Spoiler alert: I never got the free Botox session OR the vitamin b12 shot. They even forgot to give me the after care after one of the microneedling sessions. At one point the girl who rolled my eyes every time I talked to her was told to apply the numbing cream on my face, and I just flat out refused. I did not want someone who I knew had disdain for me to do a half-assed job on applying numbing cream to to my face. For awhile I felt that I HAD to go to this place because they were nearby and decently priced. But after a little bit of research, I found a MUCH better place with better deals (South Bay Whittier Med Spa). At the new place the place everyone was super friendly, and I realized the difference that made was that it didn't make me feel ashamed to come in and do these procedures. This place may not seem appealing from the outside, but the inside is a true gem. It's very clean and modern. The waiting area on the inside (not the one where you check in) has coffee and tea and makes you feel comfortable which is great considering I went in for a Brazilian laser treatment. The staff is really friendly. They allowed me to have some time for the lidocaine set in. They made the room feel comfortable for me with the big pillow, towels, and medical robe. They even asked if I wanted music. Also when I was checking out, I told them I might be interested in the sculpting so they signed me up for their email blast which gives discounts for sculpting. The procedure itself was not too painful, but of course when you are getting a laser Brazilian it's going to be painful no matter what. But they tried hard to not make it painful by taking breaks and using a cooling pad. I can't wait to see the results! read more

Did laser on my underarms and it was a smooth and unpainful process. The technicians were always gentle and checked that the laser light was right for my skin type. I did 3 sessions and was in and out on the first 2. The 3rd and last session had a longer wait, but not too bad. I was im and out in less than an hour. Please research and ask Questions before coming here. My laser removal was not Permanente and no significant differences notice! Three sessions for $300 yes I got scammed, I could have a got a better deal with friendly staff. This by far was the worse experience very unorganized from how they schedule appointments, they want you to miss it so you can pay more! Don't expect consultations they rather get you for the cash up front then tell you the linguistic of the procedure..
