Extremely disappointed. They posted on Instagram 4 days ago (Monday 8/30) that they were doing late night happy hour from 10pm-midnight from Thursday to Saturday. We showed up at 10:02 on Thursday 9/2 and were told it was closed, that they were no longer doing late night happy hour, even though the waitress was walking out of the door with full margaritas and the indoor/outdoor tables were basically full. Is there any way to leave zero starts? The service is terrible. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar for over half an hour and we were completely ignored by the bar tender. The bar tender was too busy talking to his buddy about his personal life and his dreams and opinions about another bar tender. Should even mention his foul languages? $2 tacos and rail tequila shots after 10pm. How can you go wrong with that! Try the BBQ duck taco, you won't be disappointed. If you can take the heat, order a spicy chorizo. Not that I believe one exists...yet I try other places in hopes that they compare and so far, nada. It is delicious! I have been to the one in the loop and the one in the central west end quite a few times. Consistently fresh, excellent Mexican food. Their street corn keeps me coming back. So disappointing. I ordered curbside pickup and got a text saying my order was bagged at 6:26 pm. I arrived about 5 minutes after that and texted back that I was there. I sent two other texts asking if my order was ready. No response, no curbside delivery. I then called three times and was disconnected each time. Finally I went inside and my food was sitting on the counter, where it probably had been for 30 minutes. I told the gentleman at the front about the problem, and he just wished me a wonderful day. I would first like to say that the food here is top notch. The tacos and empanadas are delicious. However the service here is horrible. Even weighing in the busy after 10pm crowd and our table which was full, it should never take a waitstaff a half hour to come by and take your drink order, another half hour or more to get those drinks, and then another half hour or more, to take your order. If you are planning to have more drinks after your meal is served, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. I would like to blame most of this on management however our waitress was very scattered and somewhat uncaring of the situation. Maybe some extra training by management on how to handle customers during difficult and stressful busy business hours would be in order. The casual, laid back atmosphere is always exactly what I'm looking for after a long day at work and you can't beat the prices for the value. This place gets its hype for all the right reasons. Best tacos I've had in a very long time. We got the chicken al pastor, Baja fish, shrimp, and brisket/pork belly tacos and two cocktails.
