Went here Saturday night with my husband. Was excited to try it. They have a lot of menu options to pick from and they all seem pretty creative. Ordered the tikka masala burrito and samosas, husband ordered the grilled the goat burrito. We also both ordered the Lime Masala to drink. Drinks came out first, they were unique and tasted pretty good. We ordered our burritos hot, but they were not spicy at all and kind of lacked flavor. The samosas were pretty good! Service was good, we were handed paper menus when we walked in and order was taken quickly. Food came out nice and warm. Servers were friendly. Taco Twist Taco Twist brands themselves as an Indian Mexican Food Battle. I'm not really sure why they chose this description because they don't really have Mexican food outside of the tortillas that are available for tacos or nachos. And it's actually a Taco Twist/ Indian Street Food/ Pizza Twist collective. Confused yet? Let me try to help. I went during their grand opening and here's what I saw and/or tried: TACOS - You can get tacos on either a flour tortilla shell or naan bread. The naan is NOT vegan; it comes buttered. Of the veggie tacos, the buffalo bites, aloo chaat, and tandoori soya are vegan if ordered on traditional tortilla. I was supposed to get a taco but I never received it. (It was a free taco offer; I didn't pay for it, so I just let it go and didn't bother to ask about it.) BURRITOS/BOWLS - You can get burritos or bowls filled with rice or noodles. The noodles are wheat noodles and vegan-friendly. There are 4 vegan options in this section: Soya Chaap, Tikka Masala with soya, Bombay Briyani (biryani?) with soya, and Love Noodles with soya. I ordered the Soya Chaap, which came with rice (although I asked for noodles), peppers, and some other fillers that I don't recall. The soya had a grilled/tandoori flavor to it. I really like the soya, but the bowl itself was just ok. I also requested that it be spicy, but it was not. BURGERS - The veggie patty for the Simply Veggie Burger is vegan, however the bun is not (the buns contain dairy/butter). This peeves me to no end. Vegan buns are easy to find, even in Costco or Sam's. However, they do offer a workaround - vegan-friendly sandwich bread. But then it's no longer a "burger" is it? One of us tried the Tawa Noodles Burger with the veggie patty and sandwich bread. They said it was good. MASALA FRIES - Delicious and spicy, finally! TWISTED WINGS - I ordered 12 planted based wings with Mango Habanero and Manchurian flavors. They are vegan, made with soya. This were actually really tasty. Soya melts in your mouth. There is no weird texture or aftertaste. I don't know if we got both of the flavors that we asked for (they all tasted the same) but whatever it was, it was delicious. I also requested 2 dipping sauces/ mango habanero and buffalo. They'd forgotten these, so I had to go back in for them. PIZZA - Lots of options, and they offer vegan cheese. I'm not a pizza person, but we were offered a free one (to try during their grand opening). It came out about an hour after we'd ordered and had already eaten our other food. It didn't appear to be the pizza that we ordered though. I said no cheese and it had cheese. (I do not eat vegan cheese either.). I took off the cheese and tried one small bite after my other two dinner mates had already said they didn't like it. I concurred. We took the rest to give away to someone hungry. BREAD TWISTS - There are several bread twist (aka breadsticks) options. One had plant based cheese and the other was a masala-type bread. I inquired about the latter but was told it wasn't vegan. Another person in my party bought the plant based cheesy bread, so I assumed it was vegan, but I cannot confirm. (I did not try any of the bread twists.) Things to keep in mind - It was the grand opening, so the forgotten items were part of the learning process. I'm sure they'll get better with time. Room for improvement: Better education for staff on vegan and what is/isn't vegan on the menu. A vegan bun for the burgers. A clear allergen chart for all menu items. I like the diversity of the menu, ensuring that there's something for almost every palate. Personally, I would return for the vegan wings and masala fries. read more

Such a unique menu and combinations of flavors! You definitely have to go a little out of your comfort zone here, but you'll be glad you did. We opted for the masala fries, a grilled chicken bowl and a crispy chicken burrito. Both chicken dishes were flavor bombs and the chicken was moist and tender. The food is excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had the Buffalo chicken and butter chicken tacos on naan bread and Manchurian Tadka with cauliflower. The flavors were wonderful! And they let me try a pani poori, which I've never had before, and it was a ball of heaven! read more

First time in so we were not sure what to expect. After we took our time to looks the very different menu and with some help from the hottest we went with the twist side of things. They did not disappoint, the butter chicken taco was the star of the show. The flavorful butter sauce with the nice crispy fried chicken sitting in a bed of rice really fits well inside the corn tortillas. The Chipotle Chicken taco was flavorful all inn it s in right. With the juicy grilled chicken topped with chill Cole slaw wouldn't be my first choice but still a good one none the less. Now on to the pizza with the nice buttery, crispy crust, a nice bit me from the heat factor added with the Tikka Masala flavors hands down one of my favorite pizzas so far this year with opens seating and full view of the kitchen this place legged nothing to the imagination. You could smell the different ingredients that were being used and the fresh ingredients adding just a bit more delicious smells to the air we will be back to they the rest of the menu. read more

Food is different and definitely with a twist. Out of the fish tikka, Nashville hot chicken, mojo steak and chipotle chicken. I would recommend the Nashville hot. The simply grilled burrito was different too. Taste mostly like cooked in butter. read more

4 stars because it's worth trying at least one time because it's an interesting concept (Indian Mexican fusion?) and it's really affordable (~$10pp). I had the naan tacos with fish tikka and achari chicken. Nice for a quick bite, but definitely more fast food vibes. Service was 10/10! read more

Stopped in for lunch since I work a few blocks away. The staff greeted me with a smile. The woman behind the counter gave me recommendations on the menu. I went with the loaded masala fries (that's on the pizza twist menu). Very interesting and amazing flavors!! Very big portion to me for $8.99. You can definitely split between multiple people or take home for later. I also went for the tikka paneer tacos with a naan tortilla and chips and queso for $8.99. The price for that to me is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The food was amazing and will definitely be going there a lot!! For around $21 for all that food and drink is not bad and of course I have leftovers for dinner. read more

Went here with Hannah for some munchy treats . Got a tandoori pizza and it was delish! The impossible chicken was a great topping - better than the paneer. Good veggie options over the whole menu. We are visiting St.Louis. We (party of 3 and spent $60 including tip) had vegetarian food last night. When we placed the order, they were not busy. One of the gentlemen came around to ask if we needed help with menu. Apparently, they kept on taking orders from other customers with kitchen running very slow. We had to wait 45 minutes before I had to tell them they were very slow and they need to pack order for us since we can't just wait there, they rushed food to our table. Their tacos do not have ingredients they mention in the menu. A couple other veg dishes Tiiki Chole and Samosa Chole were ok, I don't know why they ask for spice level when they just make it sweet. They didn't tell us they didn't have chai when they took order, let's see if this business have credibility to credit my account for tea. I wish I had taken pictures to show you food and atmosphere, I am not savvy reviewer. I would give them much less than average for food, and terrible on service and atmosphere and do not recommend this place at all. The place got so overcrowded with 20-25 people standing and waiting. I forgot to mention, they didn't have paper napkins at all. May be they are not up to a good start. I recommend to tip this place only after you are satisfied.
