Cute place. Has greenery & floral decorations which matches their menu cover. They have a large center island seating which worked perfectly for our group of 12. The service was great. Attentive waiter. Very kind. Good demeanor. The tacos were small street tacos. Meat was juicy & flavorful. The margaritas were strong & great flavor- you could tell they were house made. The cheese dip was amazing. I dont know what they did that is different from other mexican places but I really enjoyed it.

The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. The food was simply amazing. We had the buffalo cauliflower for an appetizer! We had the farmhouse burger and the carnay tacos with blackened shrimp! Even the pineapple sage mocktail with ginger beer was very lite and refreshing! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen. We can't say enough about our server, Bee! She was amazing. She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. She kept our glasses filled with water. If you're looking for a place in St. Louis with incredible food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile, Retreat Gastropub is a must-visit. Five stars all the way--I can't wait to come back! Although, I do recommend making reservations!

The food menu is limited but what they do offer is delicious. Feta mousse was creamy & delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly & paired with a veggie/rice mix. The high chair for our baby accomodationed these tables and the staff welcomed us in nicely. We really appreciated a nice restaurant welcoming in A: kids B: us after a Zoo day. We loved how they had the garage door open for the air to come in on the nice day. The bar / high top are had plenty of space and was very comfortable. They had a great happy hour around 3pm, both our appetizers were on the happy hour menu, as well as our Pinot Grigio drinks. The food was excellent, we had focaccia bread, and fried calamaris. We didn't have them but the wagu sliders and chicken lollipops both were popular at the other table. We also got a white chocolate tiramisu to go that was fantastic. Great bread = Great dessert Really appreciated our waitress / bartender that day, she said she had four grown kids of her own, as well as appreciated the rest of the staff. Thank you for a great meal and service! See you again soon

We started with the whipped ricotta, which was delicious though did not come with enough bread. We split pasta and the porchetta as mains - the noodles were delicious and clearly made in house, but sauce lacked seasoning. Porchetta was not good - a little cold, and mainly fat. Also just not a good combination of flavors (though it sounded good on the menu). I want to leave a note about our service which was 12/10 and was the highlight of our experience. Our waitress and all we interacted with could not have been nicer. They were perfectly attentive and accommodating. On that alone I'd consider giving it a second shot and preferring something different in hopes of a better meal.

The staff at the host stand was less than welcoming and wanted to put our party of 5 adults at a 4 top table. Luckily, the server came over and insisted we take a bigger table that was open. The ambiance was good but super cold, especially in the restrooms. The bar had signs for different liquors but they were out of several things. I feel like they are really close to being a good restaurant but need some attention to detail and maybe management support.

They have 34 flavors of Ranch made in house and a variety of different foods and flights to give you a taste of each one. I ordered the flight of 15 with the Ranch seasoned fries. They were crispy crispy crispy in the way I love them and were the perfect vessel for dipping in those Ranch sauces. Some of the stand outs for me were the Parmesan Peppercorn that hit in all the right ways with being flavorful, creamy and not overpowering; the smoked tomato basil was an add on for the grilled cheese and its killer and was a great choice; the OG Twisted Ranch held its own of course; the steakhouse was a recommendation from my server and he was right! Those were to name a few that rounded out my top five. Some call outs also included Roasted Garlic and I'll warn you its heavy on the garlic so you better be a garlic lover and the creamy Balsmic. My least favorite was the mango as it was very subtle and reminded me of a Pico de gallo without much flavor to it to set it apart. I ordered the grilled cheese and loaded tots without the bacon. If anyone knows me understands grilled cheese is a favorite. The bread was nicely toasted to give it a good texture and it was not soggy. Overall very good grilled cheese and enjoyed spreading the smoked tomato basil Ranch on it. Come here to vibe, have fun, I recommend it!
