My Kids enjoyed CWE, but not Twisted Ranch!
    Larry P.

Came to CWE for the Holiday Window Walk. It was almost 2pm and we were hungry. We thought to try your restaurant. We ordered from the nice waitress then waited 45 minutes to be served our food! We also notice kitchen staff watching the last quarter of the Miami football game and talking about how much money they had on game. The whole restaurant of Holiday Families had to wait like this! We are Not going to ever grace your inconsiderate establishment again. Food was average after all.

This place was great when it came to the food being delicious. Everything else not so much. For one the service was okay with the staff feeling unorganized and uncoordinated. Two the ambiance was okay with arcade and games being tap to pay only instead of with cash. Overall it's a fine bar but it's not too special. I would only come back with friends or for a sports event.

Went to grab drinks which were good, bartender was really nice engaging. Place is kinda dark pub like. Love crunchy fries but a bit over salted and the ranch 35 flavors very good. Decent bar food.

Went to Twisted Ranch with a friend and we had a good experience as always! I've tried their Ranch flight twice and loved it, so I decided to order something else. This time I ordered their one of their chicken wraps and it was delicious! The fries are always perfectly seasoned and I've loved every single ranch I've tried. The wrap was perfect as it was and I wouldn't change anything about it. The wait staff was nice and professional, the lady checked on us throughout our time their but also didn't overdo it, so I appreciated that. This place will always have my business!

I was very excited to try a ranch themed restaurant! Went here for lunch on a weekday with a group of 10. There was no wait as the restaurant was practically empty. The menu is quite large and we all opted to share a ranch flight in addition to other entrees. We were under the impression this would come out first since it's listed as an appetizer but it came out the same time as our entrees. This wouldn't have bothered me if our food didn't take over 45 minutes to arrive! The restaurant wasn't busy at all to warrant the wait but at least the food was tasty. All in all I would give the whole experience 3 stars but as a ranch connoisseur the ranch flight was genuinely quite good and bumped me up to a 4! Note that parties over 6 people have an automatic 20% gratuity

The food was not the best. Some items were cold and just not my favorite. The server was nice and the restaurant is large enough for a big group.

Wow! I would give this place 100 stars if I could. The staff were great! Super nice. The place is clean. The vibe is super chill. The FOOD...... lawd have mercy.....I LOVE RANCH! So we ordered a ranch flight and had 13 very unique sauce choices. All very good. We had the Big Kid Mac and Cheese..... thank you god for putting all of this on our plate. We shared a Chicken Caesar Salad and it came in a large bowl with so much chicken! Lastly we shared the pulled pork nachos and they were divine! The portions are huge. The prices are comparable to restaurants that give you half the amount of food and flavor. I super wish we lived here so I could eat here often!

i just can't give this place more than two stars... the concept is so cool just extremely poorly done. the food is a bit overpriced for what is it. $17 for chicken strips... central west end is a nice area and this restaurant fits the prices but not the quality. it is a grimy restaurant. everything from the bathrooms to the tables you sit at are grimy. they are severely understaffed I came on a Friday night and there weren't busy and there was open tables, but they simply did not have enough servers. The server we had was nice, but truly just too busy to offer even refills or extra napkins when we had none.

Went to the Central West End location. And the Service is terrible. Also had to wait for 2 hours to receive our food and the food was cold and incorrect highly don't recommend coming here

Saw a video about this place on TikTok and I was intrigued! So when my boyfriend and I came to town, we really wanted to try it! It's located outside of the main downtown in a nice area. When you enter, it definitely gives off sports bar vibes. We decided to do the 5 ranch sampler which comes with fries. We decided against the 13 or 34 sampler due to price and not being interested in trying all the flavors. My favorites that we got were Asian zing and jalapeño popper. My least favorite was the sweet onion bacon I believe it was called. I love onion and bacon, but it just had a strange flavor. For our entree, our server recommended the chicken tenders, which you get with a side and your choice of 2 ranches. I got pasta salad for my side, which was decent. The chicken was nothing special, as the server had said it was. It was good, just not as good as she hyped it up to be. This place did not live up to the hype. If you go, I don't know that I would necessarily even do the sampler since you can get 2 types of ranch with most entrees.

    Live mouse trap on bar.

Waited almost 30 minutes to see a server while server stood at bar on phone and then disappeared into kitchen. Only saw her a couple of times - nowhere to be found. Indicated they were short staff when she brought the check but only had two tables while there. Could have communicated it which would have helped - she didn't care. Forgot many of the necessary items. Silverware, plates, napkins. Had to eventually get our own silverware and napkins. Some of the food was disgusting and inedible. Veggies were disgusting - see picture of broccoli which was brown and mushy. Worst part was auto gratuity for groups of 6 or more. (We had 6) Lastly - live mouse trap on the secondary bar was the kicker. Should have been a red flag but noticed too late. John Taffer would have lost his sh!t. Great concept but...

Are all of the tables high tops / bar stool height? I couldn't tell from pictures if there are low/standard tables. We wouldn't be able to go upstairs unless there is an elevator.

Yes we have normal height tables downstairs as well . It is a mix of both .

Can bottles of ranch be shipped?

We have shipped our fresh made ranches from the restaurant in 8oz bottles , but they must be shipped overnight with an ice pack to ensure they stay at proper refrigerated temperature since they are made fresh each day with zero preservatives .

Can you get the Ranch this Country 13 at lunch? It isn't on the menu.

Yes , we updated the menus but online has not been apparently . But absolutely available

Do they have dairy free options? I feel silly asking this about a ranch place but you never know!

Our ranches do include dairy , so only options would be to take the ranch out of any time . We haven’t yet perfected a dairy free ranch yet

Nobody had a drink they didn't like! The LA vibe does come with the LA price though....whenever I pay over like $12 for a cocktail in STL I cringe a little bit. I'm a bit torn on the food. Best deviled eggs I've had in my life, and the Brussels sprouts caesar was lovely. The poutine was also super yummy. My Cuban sandwich was fine, as were the onion rings. They had a great crunch, but the onion on the inside was very thin. Plus a $2 up charge for 4 onion rings was a bit much, I thought. I wanted an entree they ran out of, so I could have just been tainted by that. Nothing was bad by any means! Dessert was good. We opted for cookies for easy sharing, and we liked them! I recently stopped by after an appointment in STL. It was right at lunch time and it was also, opening day for the Cardinals. So when I entered, the line to order was already long. I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. She also didn't know how to make a drink, with that being the case why are you allowed to make any cocktails. If you have a limited cocktail menu but an extensive bar selection you would think their cocktail specials were on point. Nooooo. The BF tried a margarita special and it was awful. I tried a special crafted cocktail that was cool that our waitress asked the guy bartending to specially make because she had no clue about what I was talking about. I hate going to a spot where I make drinks better than the bartenders on hand and that's your job. I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off. Not only does St. Louis have good food, this was a better meal than I had in Nashville and Kansas City. Who would have guessed. I would love to come back.
