Out of 8 of the ranch flavors we asked to try ONLY ONE was "available" The waiter said that they had a busy Saturday and they haven't made any more ranch since then.....today is TUESDAY. We asked if they could sell a few bottles of what the DID have (less than 6 flavors) and the waiter said that if they didn't have more than 3 bottles available they can't sell it to us. This has been on my list forever, I was sad when they "closed down" and honestly had no idea they reopened, so when my husband wanted to go out to eat on a Monday and almost everything else was closed, this popped up. We figured it was now or never. Since it was a Monday, it was pretty dead. We were seated immediately. It was a game night and they had TV's at the bar so it was perfect. Service was good, very quick. We opted for the full experience here - it's a lot of ranches. A lot. They were...good. But it felt like they took the same base and maybe added some more herbs and/or spices here and there. There were not that really stood out to me to be honest. Their tots were really good though and they definitely give you enough dipping options. The grilled cheese was good, lots of different cheeses and tasty, but nothing special. Stopped in to Twisted Ranch with a group of 6 on Mother's Day. My daughter has come in the past and liked it. We were all disappointed. The restaurant was only 1/2 full but the kitchen service was terrible. Our orders of chicken and salads took 90 minutes. Our appetizer and food orders had errors. Staff kept telling us the food was coming and tried to be apologetic but no one knew what was going on. There was a clear lack of management and organization on that shift. The inside is super cozy and is fun to go with a group of people! We tried the Cajun, jalapeño popper, truffle, cheesy bacon, and Jack the Ripper. It was super fun to try them all and the fries came out nice and crispy with them as well! The nachos are soooo good. I think I great touch is the buffalo chicken dip on the nachos as well, and the addition of the jalapeño ranch was perfect for it as well. The only thing that saved the experience was the fact that our server advocated for us (without having us complain) about how long we waited and got us 50% off the bill. This is a Saint Louis Staple for us. All components of the menu have ranch incorporated. I highly recommend a ranch flight (at least the 13!) with tots (cause you get more surface space than fries). We have our favorites and we always try to add new flavors too. I have started ordered chicken fingers as my meal because they just pair so perfectly with all flavors of ranch. This is a casual restaurant with 2 bar areas, lots of seating. Their new space is in an upscale shopping area. However, they have struggled with service at this location (like many others I suppose). So go in with patience and time. But the servers are always friendly. If you like ranch, you have to give this a try! read more

Ranch 5/5, service 2/5. I went here with friends and we split the ranch flight with 13 flavors of ranch. This was our favorite aspect of the meal. but all of our entrées were just OK. Regarding the service, when our server came over, we asked about happy hour specials as happy hour, 4 to 7 was written on the bar sign. He responded that there was no happy hour. We shrugged it off and ordered our drinks anyways. After 15 minutes all but two of us received our drinks he said he would be right back with the remaining drinks and it took another 15 minutes to get them. My margarita was more like a ranch water. my friend that ordered deep Eddys lemon, with water, received something along the lines of a lemon drop shot (not what she ordered). We had the same issue with our meals, all but two of us got our food and the other two had to wait 15 minutes and remind the server we were missing food. at the end of the meal, he brought out individual checks without us even having to ask, which was nice. However, he included a 20% gratuity. On the menu it had said 20% gratuity included for parties of eight or more and we had fewer people. I asked him about this, and he took it off for us. This was my first time there for my friends birthday and the service was slow. My friends waited 30 minutes and got their food and it was lukewarm and was not good at all. The food had no seasoning and the flatbread was full of sauce you could not see anything. The waitress did apologize and accommodate and remake it but the food as shown below was not as good and we were comped our food. I'm unsure I'll be back. We had such a great and attentive server named Hannah and everyone else working seemed lovely and in great spirits which automatically sets up a nice experience. The menu had so many great options that it was hard to choose! I ended up getting the Cajun chicken pasta and had a couple of rum punches that were made to perfection. The food came out quick and we were in and out within an hour. I came several years ago when they were in their old location, and by comparison, their new spot is so much bigger and seemed to have a really cool vibe and was in a really cute area. The food is good, but not the main draw. The concept is awesome and the ranch flight is the best way to get a taste of the most variations. Twisted Ranch has been on my list for some time - your girl loves ranch! We were visiting some friends in the area and I could not pass up the opportunity. It seems they have moved locations recently and the new space gives mad sports bar vibes, not my fave and didn't seem as unique as their previous space, but I had not actually been there so not sure! The space is large, we were sat at a booth that was oddly high and not very comfortable. It had a massive gap in the middle, not from cushions spacing, but as if it had been designed that way. The table also seemed immensely too small for the actual booth size. Service though very friendly, was quite slow, even though they were not busy. We waited a hot minute for a beverages and then ordered their frie sampler with 13 ranches. They give you a small sheet to select from. it;s a real fun experience and hard to narrow it down! You can try all of them with a few different app's for $40, but that felt a bit like overkill. We selected: Truffle, Sirancha, Classic, Garlic, Always Sunny in Fetadelphia, Cilantro Lime, Jalapeno Popper, It takes two to Mango, Avocado, Creamy Balsamic, BBQ, Cheesy Bacon, Curry and King of Dill. They were all delicious and the fries were on point. They dish em up in a Lazy Susan which is awesome. The food itself was good, but not stand out. Our group got a house salad, chicken tendies and BBQ sandwich. Everything was good, but I am not sure if I would go out of my way to visit again, but well worth a visit if you love yourself some ranch and want to check out the experience. It has been a little over 5 years since we've been back to St Louis. But no trip would be complete without a visit to Twisted Ranch. They have moved and Waze initially took us to the the old location. New location address is in the web page, and after entering it into Waze we were there. It is a much nicer area then before. Nice shops closer to University. Favorite ranches were buffalo, cheese bacon and caesar. Fries are awesome. The Cool Ranch coated chicken was not great. Breading too thick. Chicken was dry. Zero Cool ranch flavor. Husband had no complaints about the Philly. I asked about desserts at the end. They typically have one dessert but with just newly reopening they didn't have it yet. I was surprised they didn't have a Ranch based dessert. Some company has recently come out with Ranch flavored IceCream. It was available at Walmart for a short time. Btw it was awful. Other then the cool ranch chicken being a bust the salad was great, fry's great, service great and they have a Touch Tunes Jukebox. read more

There are also couch/chair sections for a more casual relaxed feel. 3 of us in tow, we arrived a little before 6p on a Friday and it wasn't crowded yet. 34 Ranch Sampler is great for a group. It was fun trying the different flavors and the reactions of everyone. My favs were the Jalepeno, Steakhouse and Twisted OG. Least favs, Kemowasabi, Balsamic and Ginger. Omg. What a fun place. While here on business we asked a hotel bartender for his fav. Always the best to get a recommendation from a local on their favorite go to. Definitely different than anything at home. We avid chains when possible. The food was delicious hot and fresh. We ordered the 13 flight and selected our ranch choices with a big basket of fries. Our first (and last) visit to Twisted Ranch was a mess from start to finish. It took 20 minutes just to get water and 30 before our order was even taken. When food finally arrived, part of it was missing--our friends' ranch flight never came because the order was "lost." When it was replaced the ranches were wrong anyway. The remaining food was mediocre at best: limp fries and skimpy chicken tenders. The billing was even worse. Our checks were wrong three times. The manager, Jody (Holmes?), offered nothing but empty apologies and a "we'll make it right next time," then failed to honor the discount he promised to our friends. His dismissive attitude--shrugging, hands in pockets--said everything we needed to know about how this place is run. On top of this, they took over 10 minutes to give us our cards back as we're were trying to leave. Our server likely just needed training, but management was the real problem. Until the owners, Jim Hayden and Chad Allen take accountability, this place isn't worth your time or money. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Twisted Ranch. Our food came out cold, and they were out of most of the menu items we wanted. The server had poor communication -- after waiting an hour for our food, we had to ask about it ourselves. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told that our server was the "lead." Two people in our group paid with cash and didn't receive their coins back. The server said it was their policy not to give change and to round up or down instead. If I had known that ahead of time, I would have paid with a card. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, we overheard her bad-mouthing us to other staff. Not just for the dressing but because you know that they must serve some great versions of the kinds of foods you expect to eat alongside those sauces. We started with the Ranch this Country Flight 13 which is a basket of French fries and 13 flavors of ranch that you choose from the 32 they have. See the photo for the ones we chose. My favorites were avocado, Parmesan peppercorn, roasted garlic, and smoked tomato basil. The French fries were really good with a little bit of crunchy coating. Of course I had to have the chicken strips and they were excellent, well breaded and very crunchy and tasty chicken altogether. My friend ordered the Twisted Ranch burger, which does have a ranch seasoned beef patty. We were so full of French fries since our meals came with more. But honestly it was just fine lol. If only we had refrigerators in our hotel rooms (we were in St. Louis for a conference) we would've taken all the rest of the ranch with us to eat with something else later hahaha.
